We might be rich in all these natural resources in land and sea in the Philippines but sad truth we lack knowledge , will and resorces to protect them ...thanks to those foreign environmental enthusiasts ,advocates helping out a lot all over the Philippines in terms of teaching , info dissimination ,clean up drive etc etc.

thats only in Manila, Cebu CIty and Davao...All provinces have been protecting their environment on some level already. What makes you think why they are not "developed" by your western standard? Although I do appreciate their efforts in educating the locals further.

But this is not in mindanao. Apo island is in Negros Oriental. It is marine sanctuary and protected area, they know what they are doing. Even have a no gloves policy for scuba diving.

Thank you for the geography lesson. The more they should protect the area since it is a sanctuary. No matter the no gloves rule if they don’t limit the number of tourist divers that place will be in danger.

God Almighty is in control of everything. If we obey His law then no one will become hungry. God is in control of the weather. God can change everything. Pls read your Holy Bible like Joshua 1:8, Revelation 1:3 Deuteronomy 28, Exodus 20, Isaiah 44 and many more. In summary, God hates Idolatry. Idolatry is the Mother of all Sins, read Romans 1:18-32. Lucifer idolized himself. Pls read Isaiah 14:12-14.

Sorry but not a chance, lol! These marine protected areas serve as sanctuaries and breeding grounds for different marine species! The income lost from fishing in these marine protected areas is now being replaced by tourism revenues and the local fishermen from surrounding areas are also having more bountiful catch because there's more fish and the fish supply is being replenished in these marine protected areas. Sustainable fishing is the way go so the marine resources will not get depleted easily and the fisherman will continue to have their income. At the same time, the environment is being protected and tourism in these areas will flourish even more.
