Why have I only just watched this! Loved the video Matt, thank you. I now use an eye blinder for my left eye. I’m still practicing and learning I think but it’s definitely helped me and my eyes don’t get too tired with one closed now.

Tried this today for the first time, so much easier on the muscles! Used to do this birdwatching with a spotting scope, didn't occur to me to do it shooting, thanks!

I found this most interesting coming from a pistol shooting background could you please clarify when you actually take the shot are you looking through your left scope eye or do you have both eyes open?

When taking the shot both eyes are open but your attention is looking through the scope. This stage can last less than a second before trigger is pulled to catch optimal conditions.

Another interesting video - thanks! :)
Personally, I find it difficult to set both reticule sharpness and scope focus while maintaining a true parallax in respect to head position and reticule movement on the target. Do you have any tips here?
When I set reticule sharpness first (against blank paper or clear sky) and then scope focus to be sharp on the target, I often see both sharp, but the 2 focal planes are not perfectly aligned, leading to reticule movement in respect of head position. This leads to a LOT of tweaking of both till I get both sharp and zero reticule movement. There must be a better way!

This is a fantastic comment. You hit the nail on the head - it is bloody difficult and takes time and in some cases continual checking to keep the focus balanced.
A lot of people have a that will do attitude leading to things not being balanced.
Parallax side focus we are lucky at 25m br. Once you find it you don’t have to move the scope again.
I have found no short cuts and I’m continually tweaking settings.
Closer to perfection you get the easier it is to shoot quickly and accurately.
You are already very well as you are seeing the issues.
