- A Qaqortoq Greenland Walking Tour reveals a picturesque destination. After cruising through Prince Christian Sound in the southern tip of Greenland, we spent the next day at Qaqortoq. This colorful and quirky seaport has a population of about 3,200 people. And it’s a hub for many industries, such as, fishing, tanning, fur production, tourism and ship maintenance. Enjoy my walking tour.

Greenland is wonderful. Thank you for this video.
Thanks so much. Yes Greenland is a very special place.
Thanks for an attractive little tour of Qoqortoq. Being in the far south of Greenland in a similar latitude to Iceland it's much greener in summer than places further north, even some small trees! Quite a pretty town.
You are so welcome. Yes, it is a very picturesque town and quite picturesque. Iceland is a bit north of Qoqortoq.
Look at Greenland
Amazing isn't it? And one of the most unique places on Earth.
Very nice video. I was in Greenland 2 months ago in Ilulissat, Nuuk, and Kangerlussuaq and I loved them.

Nice video, I like the house colors... what bugs, mosquitoes, bees??
Yes the cheerful colors make for a very picturesque walking tour.
@@TrueWindHealingTravel bugs ?
@@papercloset1568 I have been here at least 5 x in summer and never had bug problems.
Enjoyed your video. We will be going there in September 2023. Are there any tours that you can purchase. I know the ship does have any. My husband would not be able to walk very far and it would be nice if someone could drive us around . Also do you know if they take US dollars? Thanks for any info you can share.
There are some taxis but very few. If you can book online ahead of time a driver that would be best. It will be tender to get over there. Currency is Danish Krone, but some vendors take U.S. Dollar. Good Luck and enjoy this amazing port.
BEAUTIFUL. CAN YU TELL ME THE DISTANCE FROM WHERE TENDER DROPS OFF PASSENGERS.
The drop off from tender is right outside the Welcome Center in video. Then, the town square and fountain is about a 5-minute walk. However, walking into the hills is obviously longer about 15-20-minute walk to the locations with views. It's a wonderful place for a walking tour.
Thank you, now I am looking for a map.
Hello! Can you please tell me which month of the year you took this video? We are going in July 2024 and wondering what coat(s) to take. Thank you
July or August. I have been to Qaqortoq many times July - Sept and it ranges from lower 50's to upper 60's on a sunny day. Have fun!
May I know what month was that when the footage was taken ?
I did my video in August.
Ako v tých domčekoch zabezpečujú vykurovanie ?
Good question. I don't know.
ko-yan-ot--tu-a thank you 5:21 2 rigshaws like bicycles they travelled all the way from India and you did not seek them in town
I found the rickshaw parked here out of the way. However, I didn't see any being offered or used in town.
Please identify the flowers. You say”lake below. Is it indeed a lake or part of the ocean? Lots of flowers, what month?
The purple flowers are Lupine. Don't know what yellow ones are. Yes, this is a large lake that creek empties into it. Harbor is close by too.
Too much rapid swinging back and forth. Longer and stabler takes please.
Yes, I am learning with each video. Agree that my older videos swing too fast.
