- Join me today to add some volume/length/style to your locs! I will be using Single Ended Dreadlock Extensions from the wonderful @Dreadshop ! We collaborated on this design and I am so in love! Blondes, beachy, bohemian, and totally fun! Such a fabulous and easy way to give your dreadlocks a makeover and a boost!

Liza Jayne your very welcome! I make hair wraps and I am actually starting my own little online business with them and some other things and I plan on making dreads as well. But my favorite thing to make are the wraps. I would love to make one for you. If your ok with that all I need to know is how long your dreads . I already know what colors you like from watching your videos 😊

I used to have really thick hair but I'm getting older and my hair has thinned a lot. I tried doing dreads with my hair and they were scraggly and I hated them. This is a great trick to add volume. I ended up shaving them off and starting new and now I only use synthetic and wool dreads. Dreadshop is amazing! I just got the 28 inch mossy set, it came with 2 bundles of DE (double end) and 2 bundles of SE (single end). I wanted loads of volume and tried to use them all, but it was so heavy and uncomfortable for me so I took them out and ended up using 24 SE on the sides, back, and top and I put 5 DE on the front and middle/top of my head. It's much more comfy for being at home and doing my chores on the farm. I have a bunch of DE left over so I made a bunch of earthy forrest fairy accent pieces. I wrapped them with fossils, bones, trinkets, strings, thread, elastic etc.. You can put an elastic on the bent part of your DE (where you fold it in half) to make a loop to put over your dreads (just like she does in the video but you use elastic band to tighten instead of the SE dread on its own). I hope that makes sense. LOL. When I go out or just wanna feel prettier for the day I load my hair up with my accent dreads!!! Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed seeing you use the SE because I've only ever used DE and hair wraps.

I like how it looks, but how do you keep them from slipping if you wanted to keep them in for a longer time? Or as your hair grows, you'd have to always adjust them.
They arent hard to adjust at all. Just push them up!

You can reuse them when you take them out.
My hair is thinning at the crown, especially in the front. Would dread extensions help to disguise my thinning?

i am nervous to get approached for wearing dreadlocks when some people consider the black community to "own" the hair style... how would you handle someone coming up to you and being upset :(
Synthetic weigh a ton -- I use to wear them -- human hair so much better .... also making your own to your own hair thickness so much better

I have synthetic extensions because they’re lighter. It depends greatly on how they’re made.
