Including new details, news and rumours for 2025, including a 7,000 piece Lego Icons Minas Tirith and smaller sets. Is a classic revival wave coming next year? Plus with the official release of new lord of the rings movies including war of the rohirrim, and the success of lego barad dur - lets find out the truth about Minas Tirith. With a full breakdown of the possible set design approaches, and exactly how they can get the white city right. We will also be discussing the future of this iconic theme. Along with mystery leaks and everything you need to know about Lego star wars leaks and news in 2024 - 2025. Lets find out the truth about LEGO Lord of the rings in 2024: with this full GUIDE to EVERYTHING we know so far! Check out my other updates for Lego Marvel, Transformers, Icons, Speed Champions and more.
    So lego fans and lord of the rings fans, grab your Elven cloak and your trusty Sting sword, because we've got some juicy new lego leaks! Including new lego lord of the rings sets, possible lego minifigures and brand new lord of the rings movies.
    In this video we will uncover the truth about the FUTURE of this iconic Lego theme, and the reality of seeing a Minas Tirith in 2025, After Lego Barad Dur was revealed, there is really only one main location left in middle earth. So will we see a Minas Tirith in 2025? I have also designed some clear ideas of what lego could achieve with such a complex and difficult build as the White city of Gondor. And following lego barad dur and lego rivendell, this will be a very tough challenge. But there is more...
    Because there is new Lord of the Rings MOVIE being released in December 2024 - the War of the Rohirrim. This story is set 261 years before the fellowship of the ring and recunts the tale of helm hammerhand - a legendary king of Rohan. Who helms deep is named after. So what does this mean for the future of lego lord of the rings? Watch to find out, but we could see sets from Rohan and Gondor in the near future, including battlepacks and a return to iconic locations like HELMS DEEP?
    And finally, we'll be analyzing the future state of the Lego LOTR theme. Will we see more sets based on the books, the new movies, or both? Will we finally get a Tom Bombadil minifigure? The possibilities are endless, and we can't wait to explore them with you. So, grab some lembas bread and settle in because who knows, maybe by the end of this video, you'll be inspired to build your own version of middle earth in Lego form. After all, it's the perfect way to combine two of life's greatest pleasures: nerding out and building lego.

    Multiple sets to make up Minas Tirith is an EXCELLENT idea. But an unlikely one as you said. This is what I think Lego should do:
    The have a huge Lego Icons Minas Tirith, then they have Grond as a free GWP like the Fellbeast, then other sets such as a Rohirrim battle pack, an Oliphaunt, and maybe a Witch-King set could come down the road. That is what I think Lego should do. Minas Tirith is such an iconic location in Middle Earth. Lego NEEDS to get this right!

    As great as the big lotr sets are, I'd really like to see a new series of small to mid range sets too

    • @arghjayem
      @arghjayem Před měsícem +1

      Yeah. I don’t know why TLG aren’t doing midi scale/architecture type sets for LOTR. There are so many iconic locations that could be turned into small sets like a LOTR version of the Star Wars midi ships or helmet series. Imagine a small scale Minas Tirith or Argonath! Then of course there’s the two towers and either helms deep or Edoras. They could each come with an exclusive minifigure potentially!

  • @GrizlyWizard
    @GrizlyWizard Před měsícem +1

    I think LEGO should go crazy with this. Make it $700-800 if it means making it properly. Include the 30ish mini-figures needed for the whole battle.
    If they want to release smaller sets, they should wait until the new movie comes out so a there's more interest from a younger audience.

  • @burakbener4843
    @burakbener4843 Před měsícem +3

    I think they should make a mid scale Minas Tirith with a price tag of 300/350 dollars since it is the only way that the structure can be accurate. For example Minas Tirith has 7 levels and the base (first) wall is dwarfed by the immense size of the actual structure, there is no way that they can do an accurate, play set version less than 900 dollars. People were already complaining about Lotr sets being so expensive in the past 2 years; moreover, I think 18+ lego sets is focused on accuracy more than play ability. By the way great review.

    I think Lego should make a separate defeat of the Witch King set called “I am no man!” With The Witch-king and his winged steed, King Théoden with horse, and Éowyn on horseback with Merry on board as well with a small brick built battle scene. And then a Rohan battle pack with regular Rohan riders.

  • @MrZachhall92
    @MrZachhall92 Před 2 měsíci

    I really hope they go forward with a Minas Tirith set. If they are worried about fitting characters in the set they could include a smaller set of Osgiliath. I don’t know how excited people would be to build a city in ruin but I’d still buy it. And it could include faramir, Gondor army, and gothmog. If they do go forward with Minas Tirith, it would be sick if they made a Minas Morgul set.

I think the idea of several sets would be amazing but I also think that since they won't do that I would prefer them to go all out with a huge build and 25 plus minifigures even if the price is closer to 1000. Surprised that you took time to think about what you would like to see and what is actually practical because of complexity and didn’t come to the same conclusions I did: Edoras or Bree (Prancing Pony) would be easier projects for Lego whilst still being very iconic scenes. No matter how big Lego went with Minus Tirith it still wouldn’t be big enough because it is a city not a castle. Bree would definitely be the easier project to do and pull off well without needing a massive brick count. Loads of playability and design that just writes itself, both for exteriors (gate, stables) and interiors (bar, bedrooms, kitchen).

  • @maxmiller5619
    @maxmiller5619 Před měsícem +1

    I'm still dubious on how they could do a minifig sized Mina's Tirith in any satisfying or accurate way. People often forget that Mina's Tirith isn't a castle, it's an entire city. Truth be told, it can't be accurate. I still think the way to go is to just do the bottom ring with the gatehouse and include Grond, Siege Towers, and Catapults.

    I think Minas Tirith will be too big a set if it's to be done properly. To build it and make it live up to expectations of everyone, maybe the best way would be to release it level by level. Start at the top, incorporating the white tree and then 6 months later release the next level down. To make a 6 level Minas Tirith will take you about 3 years, but ( and this is the brilliant part), with each set you'll get at least 10 Minifigures. Maybe with the last section, instead of Minifigures you will get 2 oliphonts.

  • @dragonshadow1902
    @dragonshadow1902 Před 2 měsíci

    I think you nailed how Minas Tirith needs to be done. The Minas Tirith as one set. The battering Ram and mobile towers another set, olephants a 3rd set and then more orcs and riders of Rohan as battle backs. Going this route breaks down the initial investment and makes it easier to but throughout the year.

    Imo there is no way lego goes with Minas tirith micro scale set or goes above 6000 pieces. The easiest decision is to go with the upper level of courtyard with white tree of Gondor and the Citadel. They could easily make it cheaper than both Rivendell and Barad-dur, while including one of the most important location from the universe. Plus it would resemble Rivendell in terms of recreating the whole city through it’s most important locations.

    I think that Lego should make a set that is a battle scene of Gondor with small side builds and like 10-15 minifugeres and you could have some undead soldiers, Rohan riders, orcs and gondorian soldiers and the guys who ride the elephont. I forgot what they were called. All the minifugeres would be un named so you can have an army and no duplicates of a main character. the set would be like the city people pack form a few years ago.

    Thanks for the lore breakdown. Being a fan of Tolkien's writings, I love that the LEGOs can be a gateway for people to learn more about the deeper lore!

    I would rather pay $400ish for Hobbiton than $700 for Minas Tirith, and I've said this so many times but Hobbiton needs to double for the two movies. All it would take are a few easter eggs and all the Minifigures and you could have it be for the fellowship of the ring and unexpected journey. That would be a day one buy for me if it had all of Thorin's company and the shire folk in the fellowship of the ring. They made the DeLorean a 3in1 so they had better do it even better for a 4-5 hundred dollar middle earth set.

    I actually like the bigger sets. I would still buy the smaller ones, but the larger sets are on a different level.

    An amazing diorama Lego could do is Lindon and the Grey Havens. Those minifigures would be awesome and perhaps we’d even get Círdan!

    So the only thing is to hope that Lego makes a whole series of Lord of the Rings sets instead of just one big boy 😅
