Ah. Wondered whether anyone had reacted to this marvelous capture of a brilliant performance. Heard Jamie do this song live in Toronto years ago. Haunting to say the least. And yes, Jamie's a jazzman...and his piano work does indeed recall the late Bill Evans. He's British, and a friend of the Eastwood family (Clint's son Kyle is also a jazz musician). Jamie wrote this song for the Eastwood film of the same name.
Thank you. I love Jamie Cullums voice so much. He mixes Jazz with Pop. He is an amazing pianist. It is so much fun to go to his concerts. He composed this song for the movie Gran Torino from and with Clint Eastwood.
Aha, thanks! Yeah I remembered the title from the movie.
I wondered if that was the song for that awesome movie. Cool!
That's very interesting! Thanks.
I love this guy's voice! I've never heard of him but this song is going on my Playlist!
Yeah a very good artist!
uff listen to his recent album the pianoman at christmas is much better than this.
You should check out Jamie Cullum's "The Song Society" series. Fucking amazing stuff. Your band could even give the challenge a shot! :)
Thanks for the tip!
He reminds me of Harry Connik Jr. Love the song also.
He does have a nice tone to his voice. ...jazzy, relaxing. He was very intense with his emotion. Not my cup of tea, but he is very good.
Not really my thing either but very talented.
His version of high and dry wow. Same concert
Hes got a good voice. Just not my cup of tea in song style
Sort of the same for me.
I was expecting a bit more reaction from a professional musician, other than "I like his jazzy voice".
