- I got a great response to my first Voice of Baceprot reaction "God, Allow Me (Please) to Make Music" so I had to check out more of their music. These musicians are truly standing up for thier rights and it is truly inspirational.

The bass beat reminds me of Glenn Hughes Depp Purple. And the music is very captivating with a touch of rock, jazz, punky, reggea, etnik sunda. Very gorgeous
This song was released when they were still in high school, and they only learning music by themselves, without music school and only using makeshift musical instruments. In my opinion, with the music they create, their musicality is already above average for their age in Indonesia.

These ladies are immediately going on my playlist with The Warning Nemophila, Babymetal we really need to be super supportive of these pioneers of new rock metal . Women are ruling the music scene and the world soon a materarchal society would be a much nicer world
Found a 45min video on CZcams from 2017 of a live performance where they only do 2 covers. Even though they were 16-17yrs old, they still should true professionalism. During the first song, the singer's guitar stops working. She continues to strum and sing while the stage techs scramble around trying to fix the issue. Meanwhile, the drummer and bassist continue playing and carry the song. It's only after the song is finished, they give her a new guitar. None of them even seemed phased by the technical issue 🤘😊🤘

I think, they protested the teacher-centered learning model. Students only listen, take notes and answer when the teacher asks. There are still schools that still do not appreciate the talents and achievements of students other than achievements on report cards and school exams.

The way she sings the reff part actually have the middle east song feeling to it which make this song interesting to listen to.

I somehow get a pretty strong Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe from this, but maybe that's just my old age showing through, lol. Their middle school guidance counselor Abah Erza Satia (male, I believe) introduced them to metal/hard rock and continues to be an advisor to them.
The bassist of VOB idolizes Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist. So that explains where the vibe came from.

The two songs you have reacted to are their only published tracks... Understood your point about covers. Type in "intro + age oriented" and watch them doing their own stuff live in their home town Garut. Once again years ago but it needs to be watched to gain a greater understanding of their talent and ability.
