I wouldn't call him emo cause most of the time he was still pretty happy and light-hearted except when things went bad for him. Shawn was insecure with major abandonment and trust issues and I always thought his friendship with Cory + Topanga bordered on being unhealthy because of how dependent he was on Cory/Topanga's relationship and on Cory's friendship especially. That said, it was kinda annoying how EVERY single bad thing only happened to Shawn.
Ironically, the truth about Israel is never shown in the media, because it's all about pandering to them, while they threaten and bomb areas of land they claim to be theirs. So, if you think about it, Shawn bringing up Israel was pretty poignant, even though he didn't do it for that reason. Aside from that, the clip is still hilarious! :)

I went to school in Israel for 2 years and Israel is the best country in the world.
