Marlon is a fantastic actor, always animated and a live wire .. he is playing this part very well.

I hope he'll be okay, Marlon to this day and age is so underestimated and I know he'll pull through.

Oh I hate it when Doctor’s say that they can’t really think about how catching something can effect a recovery like when Liam said that they can’t really think about how catching Aspiration Pneumonia can effect his Recovery of when he had his Stroke.

Of course it will affect his recovery. Not only has he had a stroke, but now he has something else serious ( possibly deadly?) too!

I honestly don't know why marlon was left home so soon after the stroke, when he was at home none of them were capable of looking after him, my mother suffered a massive stroke 7 years ago and she's paralysed down her right side and her speech is gone, she's still in a nursing hospital, we all say we want her home but the hospital is the right place for her

They don't usually come straight from hospital to home anyway, but when they do a care program would be in place with specialist equipment, and nurses and physios in attendance, not just the family.

My dad had aspiration pneumonia when he was at the end for his liver cancer. It was not pretty.

I wonder if he has aspiration pneumonia because April tried giving him a drink the other day and he choked on it

That's what caused it Aspirated Pneumonia is when person Chokes on food and or drink or medication and vomit the latter is massive number one killer for youngsters getting so stociously drunk they pass out on there back vomit and Choke to death on there own vomit I knew off a friend who lost 2 sons dying from too much alcohol but really anything that gets inhaled and goes down wrong pipe and into Lungs can also cause it. I suffer from loads Chest Infections, Acute Bronchitis and mild Asthma last Summer I became seriously very unwell but not in life threatening way I spent months in Hospital with Pulmonary Embolisms and Covid on day of discharge, repeated infections, Paralysing Migraines I was in horrendous health before going into Hospital since I got home at Halloween I've not been same I've had set backs after set backs Infections after Infections amongst other things, I'm so very much more easily breathless, struggle to eat, so very badly weakened and phenomenally painfully exhausted and fatigued I'm now confined to my bed which is incredibly frustrating I'm also prone to constant frequent regular Idiopathic Seizures if violent enough they make me vomit when I regain consciousness so I sort of know how it feels having very nasty Chest Infections I'm also at very high risk of Choking, Aspirations or regurgitating during eating and drinking a well as medication and during/ after my relentless Seizures. Difference with Pneumonia the person can cough up blood, either one or both Lungs will fill up with so much fluid that will also cause the Heart to get severe Edema making the person quiet literally feel like they are drowning and decreasing oxygen levels in very severe cases if Respiratory Doctors feel its survivable they might put patient in a medically induced coma but in vast majority of Pneumonia cases it's nearly always fatal unless it's walking Pneumonia ie person is carrying on as if nothing is wrong except minor Chest Infection when in fact its Pleurisy it Pneumonia other conditions for Aspirated Pneumonia is various types of Dementia, Parkinsonism, Cereable Palsy, Huntington Disease, ALS, Motor Neuron Disease and Super nuclear palsy I forgot the proper name for it plus other medical conditions more often or not cause of death will be noted as complications from some sort of double Pneumonia yet so many people don't seem to realise how brutally awfully dangerous and life threatening it can be hence why these patients need suctioned regularly to avoid it happening like with me I was nill by mouth for quiet number of days as kept having choking episodes due to minor swallowing issues I have being suctioned is horrible feeling but I feel in real life they wouldn't discharge someone without making sure there's full support and right experienced medically trained staff were around if patient is OK to be discharged but still struggling with swallowing they usually put nasal gastric feeding tube for all nutrition and fluids as well as medication so be interesting to see how far they take this story on. As for the speech problems it's known as Asphasia in case your wondering on that as well
