Mamalakandam is a small beautiful village located around 32 kms from Kothamangalam taluk in Ernakulam district and 86 kms towards east from district head quarters kakkanad with an average elevation of 1200 meters above sea level. It is one of the hidden tourist attractions in kerala. The place enjoys a favorable and pleasant climate all year round and is famous for its peaceful retreat in the midst of a lush plantation.
