Thanks for watching our epic Vietnam road trip! Now time to test your world knowledge. I'll give the quickest correct commenter a shout out my next video! Question below... QUESTION: Ban Gioc Detian Falls are the 4th largest border waterfall in the world. Can you name the 3 larger ones? (no cheating now... 👀)
There is an almost zero percent chance I am ever going to travel there to see these falls. Thank you for making this nicely shot and edited video to show me such a wonder!
Man. Seriously. This video is what travel is all about. You absolutely nailed it. Might be one of my favorite CZcams videos I’ve ever seen. Thank you Ryan for making real, true travel videos 🙏🏻
so glad I found this channel, we just arrived in Ho Chi Minh and we have one month in Vietnam, extra excites after your video and happy that we discovered more ways to escape the crowds haha!
Assalamu'alaikum Wr Wb, I am from Riau province of Indonesia 🇮🇩 and I am a Muslim, first time seeing on social media the area near the border with China 🇨🇳 , good 👍👍
We ended up camping right there in the corner near the side falls - in 2014 four of us from Guangzhou took our bicycles on a night bus to the border at Ping Xiang/Lang Son, and rode about 3/4 days to reach Ban Gioc falls. We arrived at the falls around dusk, so the area was empty, and also this was during Tet new year when most businesses are closed as well. We decided to walk on in and no one stopped us or seemed to notice us, so we decided to just set up our tents over there in the quiet corner.
Just been to that very same homestay and it's amazing. The waterfalls are staggeringly beautiful too. Did the entire trip on motorbikes including the Ha Giang Loop twice starting from central Vietnam!
Pretty cool cave you went into! Vietnam is such a lovely place! I think the travel is worth the wait to see that amazing waterfall! Thank you for sharing ! 😊😘👍🏼
I think I watched this earlier but seeing it again has not lost it's charm. I'm in awe. How absolutely beautiful- and that trip- amazing. I can imagine why this will stay in your memory
The waterfall looks incredible and seeing them from the raft so close up looks fun! The hidden places are always the best, when they are not crowded with tourists they have a special vibe, definitely worth the long trip. Love the spirit of adventure in your videos!
Wow. Guys what an epic adventure you guys had. This place is insanely beautiful. Loved the details shared in this video..and whoa some scenic views were totally mind-blowing 😍
I went there 2018. So now they do have a market nearby ?? When I was there, it’s just the hotel. I arrived 7 am and I was the only person there until around 9 when some people arrived. Unforgettable solo trip to that place ! Almost cried 😐😆❤️
The cave system is absolutely incredible! Looked somewhat perilous to walk around in there but totally worth it to see those incredible rock formations.
Oh I most definitely would have been carsick during that bus journey up through the mountains. That cave is amazing! Looks like you found some live music too! Very cool. Those waterfalls are huge! What an adventure.
That is an insane and epic waterfall. Man I wish i would have know about this gem when I was there...Those too far away places are the best! Cao bang looked cool too! Ha, ohh man, I remember those rally car journeys! Stunning place Ryan, man now I feel like I need to head back to Vietnam! Great work
Ha, the local bus picking up packages along the way. I've never seen that. Haha, those kids loved you guys. Did not expect the inside of the cave to look like that from the entrance. Oooh, such beautiful falls. Yes, so surprising that you guys had it almost to yourselves.
Those mountains are so green and beautiful. And that cave was really nice. The waterfalls look so nice so I think you're right, I'm sure it will get more popular and crowded.
Thanks so much for this comment, it means a lot! I've had a lot going on in my life recently, so I've ended up taking an unplanned break from CZcams. Hopefully I'll get a new video up in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again for the support :)
@@OneShotAdventures Yeah, you cant spend your entire filming and editing can you. Chill and enjoy. See you back soon, no rush. From one indie fan to another, thanks for the consistently quality (And fun) content.

Always love your videos! That waterfall looks awesome! That trip was pretty epic…you really do have to “earn it” to visit there! The homestay experience is really special, an authentic look into local life. I think the best part though was the journey to the waterfall! Great job with this video…thanks for sharing!
What an amazing place. Often the places that take more effort to get to are so rewarding. And like you say it's ll the other things that make it special, like staying with the local family and so on. It all looks so wonderful!
Omg you guys are sooo close to 3k! You're growing at an insane speed. Yeah you guys are totally committed going on that long journey to the waterfalls. 7 hour coach rides are something else. The views are amazing but yeah the bus that kept stopping to collect mail probably would have made me so carsick. I've probably asked this before so excuse my poor memory but how do you do the text effects where you keep the titles in place on the screen? I love homestays! That was how I travelled Sri Lanka and there's something so special about staying at the homes of the locals. Eeew that tiny entrance tot he cave makes me feel so claustrophobic. I'd be happy to battle through that though to see the awesome cave. Curious to know how far behind realtime this was shot? Are you still travelling at the moment? Sorry for the influx of questions haha!
I do the text effects on After Effects, which is pretty much all I use that program for! This was filmed way back at the end of last year, so I'm running waaaaay behing (slow editor) and we are back in UK again now :(
I was there, only on the Chinese side, the local people didn't have to stay have way the river. On the Chinese side, Vietnamese people came there to sell their stuff and we went to the market also, it was a sort free trade zone in Vietnam
7 hours ride totally worth it. Better than the 16 RT hours hike I made to Havasu Falls LOL. Love the experience you had at Yen Nhi Homestay and enjoy the village, the live music so awesome!
Thank you for creating such an informative and thoughtful video! What time of year did you go? We’re planning for mid December and wondering if the water flow would be as spectacular then as it was in your video.

Excellent footage. I stumbled on your video and watched it because I had a friend that went to Viet Nam with his wife on vacation. I doubt he made it there but he said it was beautiful and now I see that he was quite right. My friend died several years ago from cancer. Your video made me think of him again. Thanks. God bless you both. Safe travels.
Rally car bus, hahaha! Third world countries drive quite differently than first world! Did you ever have a moment of feeling afraid? That cave looks so awesome! Didn't feel too afraid on these particular buses, but we did have one driver who was drinking a few beers at every one of the rest stops! Scary! The cave was $2 entry - which is awesome
Spectacular indeed!
