-Patch Notes
-The enemy's weakness system has been added.
-You can turn the conversation over quickly with the start button.
-The tempo of some event scenes has accelerated.
-Some unnecessary conversations have been deleted.
-The conditions for X to join us have been changed to the rescue of 32 hostages.
-Sound effect and BGM volume have been adjusted.
-Rank promotion conditions have been eased further.
-While axl is transforming, you can release the transformation with the player change button.
-Weapon damage and consumption have been adjusted.
-Some special weapons have been accelerated.
-HP and damage of enemies and bosses have been adjusted.
-Initial special weapons gauge changed from 25 to 32.
-It's been changed so that if you fall, it happens faster.
-Reploid was changed to be killed if he was attacked three times by the enemy.
-Zero be judged invincible while you're demonstrating Bakuenjin, Raijinshou, Gokumonken.
-The problem with dash wall jump has been improved.
-It's been changed to allow Zero to change direction during the jump attack.
-Zero Saver Attack Delay has been reduced.
-The sound of getting a heart tank has changed.
-Camera angles on some stages have changed.
-The scrolling speed of the Mole Bore stage has increased slightly.
-The placement of some enemies within the stage has changed.
-Boss's weakness has changed.

-Snipe Anteator's sniper device has been reduced from six to two.
-There's an increase in the delay before Red's attack.
-Tornado Tonion Stage The mid-boss's rotation time has been reduced.
-When you get a life-up or energy-up, all characters' max gauges increase. (1.1.5)
-The system that gets Life up and Energy up when you knock down a 8 boss has been deleted. (1.1.5)
-Soldier Stonekong's initial pattern changed to sword-wielding behavior. (1.1.5)
-Fixed the issue that does not reflect on the resume screen when the heart tank is obtained. (1.1.7)
-If you pass through a particular area within the step, it will start in that area when you retry. (1.2.1)
-Setting the video plugin to softwere fixed the issue of darkening the boss icon color. (1.2.2)
-In the Weapon get screen, a bug has been fixed where Zero's hair floats in the air. (1.2.3)
-The problem of not being distributed to all Characters beings when you get Energy up has been fixed. (1.2.4)
-Camera viewpoint position of Splash Warfly stage has been lowered. (1.2.4)
-The splash warfly stage camera angle problem has been fixed. (1.2.6)
-The direction (Left, Right) of the camera's movement has changed. (1.2.6)
-Sniper Anteator's invincible time has been shortened. (1.3)
-Sniper Anteator's missile homing time has been shortened. (1.3)
-The charging time for the Axl's copy shot has been shortened. (1.3)
-The voice has been changed to the Japanese version.(1.4)
-Opening and Ending BGM have been changed to vocals.
-8 Boss weakness order has been changed to the original.
-The Giant Mechaniloid's movement has been changed to stop when the horn is destroyed or the hyena casts the Tri-Strike pattern. - Hry
You're doing a god's work with this! Never thought that someone would finally sit down and patch the game! I bet it took a lot considering what a mess the game is. Props to you! Too bad this can't be adjusted for the PC version though...
Personally, It was a pity that the fundamental problem, the camera angle problem of Sniper Anteator, and the problem of the physical engine, could not be fixed.😂

I saw the changes compared to the original game and I have to say I’m impressed with the quality changes you did overall. For someone to work on a “dead game” for me at least making it slightly better makes me want to give this patch a go. Good work.

The only thing it needs to be better is to add the character backup system when one dies so that the other can continue like in X8, with that I think it would be the definitive experience, it would improve the game a lot, greetings and thanks for this new edition
This patch is great!! just a few suggestion:
- Is it possible to restore japanese ingame voices? Cutscenes voices can be chosen from Options but in game no.
- Is it possible to restore opening and ending japanese songs?
- Is it possible to fix the recoil produced by the fire in the Stonekong fight scenario?
- Is it possible to change Axl's hover into doble tap jump button instead of holding jump button?
I think you can finally make X7 an enjoyable game!! :D
That sounds some really good addtions to this already awesome patch, I was wondering myself if the op and ed could be brought to this patch, it would make it the perfect version of this game.

or slow down their walk cycle animation so that it doesn't feel janky

Does this use PAL / Japanese damage values for enemies?
This is awesome! But if I may make a request if you do 1.4, It would make more sense to have to just have the hostages not able to die at all. That way we could get every upgrade without starting the whole game all over again and it would make it easier to unlock X. I actually would love to have X just playable from the beginning too.
I'll have to give this a playthrough. Would it be possible to restore Code Crush (the JP version OP) to the intro and the vocal version of Lazy Mind to the credits?

I would like Axl to be the same in the X8 when pressing jump twice releases the jet and presses just once to give the dash.

Oh man, this looks amazing, you got talent, i love the fact that you used your time to fix this mess, it shows how much you care for rhe Franchise ❤.
But i also came to give you an idea for the x6 mod.
There are 2 ways of doing it
1: going into a completed Stage by pressing x sends you to the start of it, but if you Select the completed stage by pressing start, you go to a Specific checkpoint of the stage, this checkpoint being the one that the alternate path is located.
2: if you go into a stage's Alternate path, leaving it or completing it, will send you back to the checkpoint of main path in which you got in to the portal. Without going into the menu, kind of the same with the secret lab after defeating high max (This wont work in the recycle lab, so you wold have to change the checkpoint you teleport to).
This would make the game more fast paced, not forcing you to restart the stage from the start. Idk if you will do it, but im triyng to help anyway 👍

This is a good start, to say the least. My biggest issue is that the bosses still take long to kill, even though you claim you adjusted it. Have you considered looking into the PAL version?
Changing the boss weapon's weaknesses is a pretty superflous change and I'm sure most people want to keep it is as it is.
@@MegaNav23 I know, yeah, which is why I suggested the PAL version since the damage output is unaltered, features four extra languages and still supports 60Hz. Capcom also did a similar thing in DMC1 with Dante dealing less damage in the NTSC version, except we europeans were stuck with a poor PAL conversion for that one.
I have two questions:
1. would this be similar to Megaman X5 Improvement Project Addendum and Megaman X6 Tweaks?
2. Is it available for PC?

X7 should get an SNES Demake X8 already has and is still in progress as of writing this comment, all that needs to be done is the Jakob Elevator, Boss Rematch Chamber and the Moon Stage.
i don’t see the point. X8’s demake removes all of the game’s identity in favor of turning it into a diet version of X1. i’m all for the idea of demakes but the way the X8 demake does it is less of an improvement and more of an overcorrection, i’d rather just stick with this improvement patch, or if possible, some kind of project 06-like remake
@@amso7169 Yeah, the demake is impressive in its own right, but it really does not follow the right spirit by going for an imitation of the X1-X3 style. It does not even logically make sense, stylistically the game should at least take after X6 if we were to put it into any 2D style, simply because it otherwise has the same awkward effect as MM9 and 10 where they feel like regressions from the prior game it should be a sequel of.

Thank you for making this hack! Megaman x7 is ok for me but this makes it much better. The hack feels just like playing the ps1 games but in 3D. We need more megaman hacks!
Could you please patch the camera to the right analog stick and make it free range? I also want the Weapon Select Buttons to be the Left and Right Shoulder Buttons too please! Would you even mind doubling the upgrade chips you get from rescued reploids from two to four? I would also like to see X have a vertical air dash by pressing D - up and dash in 2D mode along with pressing the jump button twice in 3D mode. These are the key improvements I wish to see in Mega Man X7 becoming a much better game!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! But you can make the patch for the pal edition? Having the game multi 5 is a great way to make it more accessible, i guess you just have to make a 60hrz patch, i don't know if the game already has a 60 hrz mode.

What would X8 N edition be like?
My only problem with X7 is that when its 3d the game feels slow cause of it having the regular speed from the 2d sections, aside from that I never had any issues whatsoever with this game.
Wow. I don't like your other patches, but this is incredible. I don't know how you managed to adjust all those things, but seeing X7 be so much more fluid, with menus being way faster and Zero being far better is great, especially since I've never seen an X7 modification project before. Great job!
EDIT: After beating the hack fully, I really appreciate some of the changes, particularly related to movement and making Zero faster and more powerful, but I have some issues with the hack:
-The weapon balance is very odd: most weapons are not as optimal as simply using base moves, and for bosses in particular, most non-weakness weapons are far worse than even uncharged shots. This particularly hurts weapons like Explosion or Splash Laser, which used to make up for how dangerous they can be to use with their damage, but now they're basically useless. Moving Wheel and Raijinshou work really well against enemies, which is cool, but some techniques like Hiejin are very weak in almost every scenario.
-Every single one of Zero's slashes still cause boss i-frames, making him feel a bit slow compared to previous iterations even with the increased damage.
-X still has the issue of the charge shot being lost for unknown reasons.
-It would be really nice to see an option to have Japanese voices, as the in-game option only works in cutscenes. Many of the English voices are rather grating.

Can you make the version 1.26 patch available? I didn't really like the nerfs on the anteator, there were a lot of nerfs and it ended up leaving the boss like a banana lol

트레일러처럼 보스 약점이 변경됐으나 대부분 불호의 의견이 많기도 하고 저 또한 계속 궁리해본 끝에, 다음 업데이트 때 다시 원래대로 돌려놓고 추가로 북미판 음성을 일본 음성으로도 바꿀 예정입니다.

The patch was really good, this game finally became more fun to play.
If you update the patch, I wanted to ask you a favor. In the title menu, it is possible to press any button other than Start, for me it is more than clear that this game has cheats just like X6 and X8. I don't think anyone has discovered it yet because who would be interested in messing with the files of a shitty game like X7.
And it still doesn't make much sense for this game not to have cheats when X6 and X8 do.
I hope this patch make for legacy collection 2 too and one thing I don't like is Boss's weakness change.
Now if only we can get this on PS2 homebrew! Also wouldn’t hurt to be able to change the whole voice track to Japanese(‘cause in the original English version, only the cutscene voiceovers are affected by this)

They're in the description of the video itself, in a long list. Some of them are demoed in the trailer, which I will note:
- Zero has increased attack speed all around, roughly on par with X8's pace
- Axl has new "weapons", and many enemies are made to take significantly more damage from subweapons and techniques
- Boss weaknesses have been adjusted to make more sense
- Damage that knocks you over takes less time to recover
- Rescuable Reploids no longer die to one hit from enemies
- Dash Jumping off of walls actually works
- Axl can cancel an active transformation at any time by pressing a character change button.

Maybe give Axl cool guns and no weapon like in x8, also low damage continuous shooter
But, isn't like Ray Gun, Blast Launcher, and Double Bullet "cool guns" in X7? also X8 is also like X7, giving Axl different firearms and not simply ctrl c + ctrl v of X ones.

All in all, this mod is wonderful. I just don't like that the weaknesses changed. Some of them don't even make sense
I'm going to change the boss weakness to the original when we update it later.
I do think some of them makes sense
like Hyernard being weak against Volt Tornado being a ressamble of Flame Mammoth being weak against Storm Tornado
Snipe Anteator being weak against Splash Laser because......well, electricity doesn't make a good relationship with Water
Doesn't make sense to change the weakness order. I wanted to try this 'til I heard that part. Make them do more damage, sure, but don't mess with the logical order; why would you have the water guy's weakness stop being lightning, and start being FIRE, instead?

the problem isn't not invincibility, the problem is the timing of Roll Dodge

You can patch it with the ps2 emulator rom file. You need to download the Mega Man X7 USA rom file separately.
