- trying out the various ways to stabilise a video footage.
In short, I think Active Stabilisation is really good! Catalyst browse is also good - but requires extra post processing and higher shutter speed which defeats the 180 degree rule.

I really love video like this, straight to the point no BS.
Thanks
Good comparison! Thank you. Active steady is truly amazing. Try active steady with the gimbal! Buttery silky.
Thanks for the tip!
Great reviews. Was looking for this type of comparison for A6700. Btw, did you use the internal mic when testing the stabilization? Also, how much percentage of crop when using catalyst? Thanks!
I used internal mic....unfortunately, I didn't check the catalyst crop percentage
Have you tried using gyroflow to stabilise the footage? I find it works better than catalyst browse and you can still use 10bit. However you have to use it with all stabilisation turned off. With catalyst browse you can stabilise clips that have stabilisation turned off or using active but not standard. I would be interested in seeing a comparison between catalyst browse stabilising clips with no steady shot and with active steady shot vs gyroflow stabilising clips with no steady shot.
Ok.. I’ll post a video to compare
Thanks, what lens are you using? (does it have it's own OSS)
20mm f2.8...it does not have OSS
I use a crane gimbal in all my videos no steady shot and not OSS lenses, it’s amazing
awesome....I have crane m3s..but sometimes too lazy to set it up
Thanks for this vid.
Yes shutter speed a litter higher works wonders.
I find that 1/100 or 1/120 on my zve10 is normally the highest that I need to go.
can the camera body IBIS be turned on AND it will record gyro? Or is it one or the other?
Yes.. gyro recorded when ibis is turned on
