because it is a show, they are there for clout not for real romance at least not 100%. They are there fully or partially for fame. You cant watch these shows with seriousness. it is like expecting orange candy to actually be made of real oranges. It looks orange it somewhat tastes like oranges but it is in fact not an orange nor made of oranges. These shows exist for amusement. The only people who go on these shows are clout chasers/fame seekers, dysfunctional people or delusional people. Which is why it always ends up being a hilarious train wreck of a mess to watch between the fakers/actors and crazies.
