China already has "Beidou" and it is on par or better than GPS. This info is from Western institutions.

Astronaut refers to a person engaged in or trained for spaceflight. Cosmonaut is the term used for a Russian or Soviet astronaut. Cosmonaut is a borrowing of the Russian word kosmonávt. Cosmo comes from the Greek root kosmos, which means “universe,” while astro comes from the Greek root astra, which means “star.”

His assumption that Singaporean could be more inventive...doesn't he realised 70+% Singaporean are ethnic Chinese with similar Cultural profiles as those of mainland Chinese😂...dumping down on perceived adversary is perhaps another type of cultural traits not very uncommon

It would be great if you analyzed the figure of Wang Huning. Not only his opinions on the social effect of culture in America and China, but his opinions on international politics, if he has any.

Im surprised Samo misses or ignores the strategic nature of establishing a permanent base on the moon. A base that has the ability to launch, manufacture, recieve and store, advanced communications, etc etc.. all while being out of weapons range or at least the ability to reasonably defend itself from any attack originating from earth or near earth orbit. Such a base would then allow for the establishment of hegonomy over earths orbit with the ability to destroy any rival satellites or aircraft while remaining safe from attack. And with this orbital hegonomy, this geopolitical power or military will be able to initiate launches and expansion to Mars, asteroids, etc. and lead the expansion into the rest of the solar system

Your scenario is not possible. Some country will not become Dr Evil to claim the Solar system.
The reason is: Asteroid mining will only be profitable after 30+ years of straight investments. I.e. if a government would want to implement it, they'd have to pump funds into it for 30 years before they see the first quarter or profit. (Asteroid mining will happen as private enterprise, not government pushed)
Why, then, is your moon base a good idea? It would only make sense if some state on Earth wanted to claim the rest of the Solar system for itself.
If you want to prevent the other nations from accessing the asteroids to mine them, then you'd have to be hostile towards them. You'd have to shoot their spacecraft down with your moon base. But as said, that requires an EXORBITANT initial investment that then needs to be defended AGAINST THE REST OF THE WORLD FOR THIRTY YEARS.
Mars is worthless. Will be a lossy investment for 100+ years.
