The meateater episode in Alaska with Evan is one of my favorites. Love both of these guys. Both have a great sense of humor
Two of the greatest living Americans in one place, Uncle Evan and Uncle Steve.
Amen to that.
Need to add everyone’s favorite Grandpa Callen
That’s a horrible disservice to Steven… lol
Nah these fools are unamerican and anti 2A
@@riffedwood5597 😂😂underrated comment 👏👏
Yes!!!! Two of the best together! Can’t wait to watch the meateater episode! Thanks fellas!
Hilarious how much Steve loves to win his trivia shows. I wish they would put them on video like this!
same here! wish the whole show was like this
I'm so happy you brought up Louis L'Amour. The Sackett books were my first real novels that my father introduced me to. I remember crying at the end of To the Far Blue Mountains.
My love of literature came from Louis L'Amour, and of course, from my father.
"American Buffalo: On Search of an Icon" is my very favorite book! Listening to it narrated by Steve Rinella is an experience in itself.
Thanks for the shoutout Evan! Can't wait to see what adventures the arrows go on!
Outstanding conversation. Thanks for letting us be a part of it.
Two of my favorite folks on one podcast... awesome
I swear Evan is the king of trailing off. Listening to the podcast on the way to work and couldn't hear half of what Evan was saying. Re-watching on youtube so maybe I'll catch it all. Great collab!
Love the content. Many thanks from your cousins across the pond. 🇬🇧
“Last of the breed” is also a very underrated Louis l’amour book in my opinion
Being that books are one of my favorite things, I really enjoyed this podcast. I hope we can see more of it, literature discussions. Great podcast!
The collaboration we needed 🤘 Just finished the podcast and now time to watch MeatEater season 11 Episode 1!
I too am a MeatEater...
Coffee drinker...
Eastern KY bull elk harvester.
Great show!
Two of my favorite brands, two of my favorite people alive today. This was great and hope to see more collaboration in the future.
Steve: "What the hell is on your shirt?"
Evan: "It's an espresso machine. It's a La Marzocco Linea 3 espresso machine."
Me: "I thought it was a sewing machine..."
Great podcast! Really enjoyed the part about the authors and worldview.
Steve’s books are great. And his Wild Game cookbook is the best in the genre.
this was the podcast ive been waiting for!!!! steven and evan finallly is here
Outstanding show gentlemen, I find the topic fascinating, Louis L'Amour Cadillac desert mind-expanding and character developing.
theres not many folks i want to sit down and talk with but steven rinella ,evan hafer and the duck commander guys are on the bucket list
“A souped up coffin” 😂
Today was a good f’ing day, listened to the podcast, the trivia episode, and watched episode 1 season 11 of MeatEater. Damn I couldn’t be happier lol also bought some of that coffee on the table. Pretty dang excited for that too.
Rinella makes me laugh out loud more than anyone. Great pod.
I was so happy to hear Evan again.
Is season 11 coming to Netflix if so when my husband looks for it every night it's like the only show he watches he and my 10year old son love it.
American buffalo is one of my favorite books. The amount of time I made my wife stop doing what she was doing so I could read her passages had to be annoying!
The Sackett family story is one of the best
Louis lamour is my favorite writer my granma loved him he’s a classist a true renaissance man, the sackett brand is my favorite within the sacketts it was my first n remains by my side to this day…it takes a heap of killing to finish off a sackett
Nice!!! So stoked
Yep good episode, Evan is finally learning to listen.
Hunting elk this week in idaho 💪🏻
Great podcast, brothers
Sitting here at home on Prince of Wales Island as it's blowing 60kts going wow they had good weather last year.
2 of my top favorite 10 people Steve rinella and instructor earl
Awesome...thanks
That Hmong cloth is awesome my guy.
Elk are ruminants. They ferment plant cellulose into mostly saturated fat. If you want to get huge and jacked, you want tons of saturated fat. Animals that have bacteria break down plant cellulose into saturated fat are generally huge animals for the kind of food they eat
Am incredible book!!! An adventure read.
Steven rennell is one of my favorites I believe he is honest
Louis Lamour taught a whole generation of boys honor, integrity and a strong work ethic.
Wow, the irony of this is crazy. I listened to this podcast today. For the first time in my life I heard of the Elliot bay book store. Here I am walking through SeaTac Airport, and the Elliot bay book store is here. Obviously not the original but what are the coincidences?
So good
Where is the trivia show? Is it a podcast or a tv show
It's a podcast, it's on the meateater podcast channel. It's pretty good you should give it a try.
Cormac McCarthy just came out with the Passenger. Love Cormac.
Hey, not pertinent to video but would like to express. I watched your Moose/Caribou hunt video.
I read some time back that Artic Grayling and Dolly Varden live up to 100+ years old.
It's the SACKETT SERIES!!!!
I wonder if they are going to let the guest talk? We will see.
Here to leave a thought...I want to see and hear you guys interviewing Mike Tyson. Has done a ton of interviews. But I don't think anyone does this like you do.
Steve getting people in touch with others who know things has become a “connector”. See Malcolm Gladwells “tipping point”
Juuuust Great. Seems like I gotta get 600 bucks worth of books
Backstraps n’ bbq for the book
Ironically 231 is the area code of Steve's hometown lol
Stopped mid podcast and downloaded the road, now I want to build a bunker under my basement.
Nice.
Did Phil the engineer got called Jamie? That Alone should justify a pay raise!
Awesome! Even though I blame Rinella for ruining my Idaho hunt his year.
From the Kill To the Grill!! 0.05%
⚡
evan needs to invite the duck commander(phil and jase )!
Steven Rinella, my hunting hero, likes to hunt turkey in the spring, and is getting older, Turkey neck LOL.
Don’t forget Larry McMurtry fellas and Laura ingalls wilder
Elk-- one word-- meat.
Everything else is second -- bottom line at 53 you have think like Rambo -- mentality. Packing out gets tougher each year -- but it is most rewarding. My opinion.
No ways Steve's 48 that's crazy to me
I think Evan is pretty intimidating when watching you straight in the eyes. It's worse when a firebreather like that is a joker troll like Evan. I bet many a "insurgent" have been sweating. Feels like there's a pretty well oiled machine behind those jokes.
Steve rinella is as important to conservation and hunting as Daniel Boone. Prove me wrong.
I’m not a great kid raiser.. but I know a guy
Back country back yard

A Country
C

Hunt New hampshire
Steve, why don’t you bow hunt elk more?? I’ve asked you this question before! Killing mule deer on a draw tag in a coveted area, is easy!
Plus when it comes to drawing a tag for those limited tag draws. It helps to be a known name like Steve Rinella, Jim Shockey or Evan Hafer.
Rinella has been putting in for these tags for 20/25 years, give that shit a rest. That man is a National Treasure, folks should listen to him more ..
@@leftytee790 I am a fan of his to but I stand by my assessment. It helps to be a personality when it comes to those most sought after tags. I to have been trying for 30 years to draw tags. Not 1 yet. Luckily I live in a good state for white-tailed deer.
Please fix the audio!!! It's super quite then blows out your ears.
Not sure what Steve has on his pod casts! But I literally turned this off. You don’t have it.
The insurrectionist who brought zip ties to the Senate was wearing your hat. Why is that? Character is destiny my man (shame, bankruptcy, being a mediocre POS whose coffee is somehow worse than your politics) Post a video of whatever happens after the CEO says, "Im not a racist but..."
the outdoor book that drove me to be the best woodsman i could be is a nra book african rifles and cartridges by john taylor it made me stalk rabbits and squirrels with all the care and focus he used to poach all the big game he did in africa with black powder double rifles
Gardner Tag not so special anymore.......Great stuff folks
