The Barber of Seville Overture by G.Rossini

The greatest masterpiece of comedy within music, The Barber of Seville played by trio from The Music school "Blagoje Bersa" in Zagreb, Croatia. Karla Kroflin playing the piano, Petar Ruk playing the first violin and Matej Mihaljevic playing the second violin.

Bravo, a fun performance with many interesting things to hear. There is a lot going on in the Barber of Seville Overture and this performance by three players makes the musical components easier to identify. The first measure played in ensemble just by itself is music for a dance step. Then the next musical piece interrupts the dance for the first few bars of a song. Rosinni is having fun teasing the audience. . A few minutes in and I think I hear a tune borrowed from the Kreutzer Sonata, possibly to hint at ardent pursuit.And then quickly smoothed over with a musical "ha ha".Comedy or humor is about the brain discovering incongruities in the incoming information. Thanks to the performers and Blagoje Bersa for making this wonderful performance and sharing it with us.
