I do a henna treatment monthly and use the center wrapped bun method. I call it the Henna zen Buddha bun. Truly peaceful hair coloring and strengthening in one. I love ur videos!! 🥰😘
🙏🏽 thanks you
Henna has been my Day 1 for about ten years. Now I mix it with amla and aloe powders and my hair got her life in a whole new way!
Facts!
About how often would you two lovely ladies recommend a newbie adding ayurvedic mask treatment, into our hair regiment.....
Also great video!!! 💜🎯🟣
@@lyonessjudah5313 when I first started using henna - which was about 11 years ago - I had used it once a month for about 4 to 6 months then would do it once every 3 months. But every head of hair is different and we never know how our skin/body will react to something new. With that being said, I definitely suggest being cautious and always do a patch test first. I went gung-ho when I first started which wasn’t smart and thankfully I had no reaction to it. Health and safety always comes first even with anything that’s natural. I suggest looking at HennaSooq’s CZcams Channel as Khadijah has a wealth of information for first time henna users. Hope this helps a little 😊
I am so excited to see this video. Super helpful and will definitely try it myself
love your vids you NEVER disappoint yaaaaassss lol henna has been helping my go from shoulder to mid back length. I love it!!! Thanks PM
LOVE your energy and your informative videos! And your hair is absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😻
Thanks so much 🙏🏽
So much fun!!! 😂😂😂5 hours later OMGOODNESS its beautiful! Can’t tell me NOTHING lol!!! I am feeling it ! Good job!
Love the ideal of putting it in a top knot bun as you apply the henna. I will be doing that.
Really, she showed me something new. I will definitely try.
I love this treatment for my hair!
Beautiful hair! I’m trying to gain more length so I’m taking your advice.
You’re a pleasure to watch! 🤗
I just did my first henna mask a few weeks ago, I loved it my hair strands feel so much stronger. I was inspired to test it because I have high porosity fine strands. Anyways good video !
I'm glad you tried it. Believe it or not I also have fine hair and high porosity. It really helped thicken my strands and make my hair look Fuller overall.
That glow, in the first clip!
☺
I really enjoy your energy❤️and how detailed you are in your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank u so much 💓much appreciated
Thank you for sharing! Gorgeous hair and personality! Please consider doing a video on how you get your hair dark w/ indigo.❤️
Another great video! Absolutely love henna.. and your hair 🤩
Thank you 💕😊
Love this channel. So informative.
🙏🏽🥰
Love watching Your video's. You are showing me a whole new thing!!!
Thank you
Okay so I know I’m late to comment on this video, but I have been looking at your other ones and I just had to say you are so on point with your knowledge. I learned about Ayurveda for coloring gray hair naturally and used the book, Natural Hair Coloring by Christine Shahin, but you ladies are helping naturals to understand that henna and Ayurveda are about much more than body art and hair color. Keep up the good work!
Love your channel! I'm a guy, but I have really gotten into using ayurveda to take care of my hair, and it's worked better than anything else. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you! 😊they do work wonders!
Do you use it on your beard? I was wondering if my boyfriend could try it he wants to thicken his beard
I would say say yes, it can be used for beards also. Henna is safe on skin and good for the hair, beard hair is the same as scalp hair. @@mercedezz
Very informative. Love your content so far. Keep it up.
Thank you 💕
Well done miss 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰🥰🥰.. thanks for the videos. You are my new fav... keep going!

Smart way to do it so it doesn't get on your neck and those messy things. 🥺😍
Absolutely
Just binging all the videos. I love everything I have seen so far! Lol
thank u so much!!!
Lol look at you so beautiful , yes we see that awesome bun you are rocking!!!! Thank you so much because I wanted to know a bit more about doing a henna treatment for my hair, it looks exactly like the mud I made for my pies way way way back in the day!!! Love it🤗👧🏽awesome demonstration👏👏👏👏
Thank youu 💓Yes it really look like mud!
Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍
Thanks so much 🤭🙏🏽

I'm so obessed with your videos
🙏🏽 🥰
New subbie!!!! 💞🤗💞
I really like how you combined it with your hair oil. I did the basics of your hair oil minus the horsetail, nettle, and black seed oil. I was too excited to make it. I love the oil and it smells so good! I ordered those items so next time it will be the complete recipe!
Thank you! And yes, It smells AH MAY ZING! When you get those other ingredients you'll be well on your way. Let's grooow! 🤭
I just subscribed! You're so informative and the way that you present your videos is super easy to digest. Thank you for that! I just started using herbs in my hair like 3 days ago and I'm so excited to continue with this new addition of ayurvedic haircare. I do have another question, lol. I used henna as a gloss and included amla and moringa in it as well. Since I'm using my dc as a base and just adding in the herbs, is it safe to use every week on wash day? Also, I made a tea and included henna. I plan to spray my scalp and hair every other day. Is that considered too much henna if I use it in both my dc and tea?
Love your videos
🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing all of this information and your experiences with Henna
I think I have been using Henna for approximately a year now.
I have low porosity low density extremely fine 3B--4A ( yes three different types of hair all over my head )
I have 3c-4b curls with a mix of fine, medium, and coarse strands 😂 and I’m high porosity and high density. Crazy how many combinations our hair can come in!

Awesome 🤩
New subbie here. I love Ayurvedic herbs. This is a great video and you and your hair are beautiful. I can't use henna because I have gray hair (high porosity, fine strands) but I will pass this video along to my daughter whom I'm trying to convince to use henna. I may still use this recipe minus the henna for myself...my dry hair needs help!
Hey curl friend! You can add indigo to your henna mask to combat the greys turning orange or copper. Or you could sub henna for cassia if you don't wanna deal with it altogether. I also have high porosity fine hair and I use henna.
I have 4c fine hair and a couple of gray strands in the front of my hair. I use henna, it turns the 3 or 4 gray strands orange. I use the indigo powder right after rinsing out the henna treatment. The indigo powder treatment will turns all of my hair including the gray hair a dark black. So yes, you can use henna on gray fine strands. @@ProudMane
I went to the Indian store and bought some fenugreek seeds and amla powder bc of YOU.
Your hair is gorgeous 😍
Love to hear it! Lemme know how it works for you.
With my low porosity hair I have noticed that using certain products that is very similar to protein treatments yes has made my hair feel like straw but overall with my low porosity hair I maintain moisture for approximately 4 days however I do need to go in approximately every other day make sure I have jojoba oil and take care of my scalp .
I really hope this mask will loosen my coils when I do it...
Che meraviglia..😍🥰♥️👏👏👏bellissima😊
I have no idea what you said but I'm just gonna guess it's positive bc of all the emojis. Haha. 🙏🏽

@@antocosenza6 Figurati! 😊👍 Di (Da) dove sei? Io sono stata a Firenze cinque anni fa per studiare canto lirico e italiano e amo l'Italia, ci sono ritornata 3 volte :-)
I also have another question, I use the Nupur henna that's combined with the other herbs. Since it's combined, do you still suggest doing the mask once a month? Even though more herbs are combined, I still add in more amla, aloe vera powder and moringa. Last night was the first time using straight powder without a deep conditioner. I typically add my herbs to my dc every week and do a gloss. Since I typically do a gloss every week, would the incorporation of the full henna every month be beneficial? Or should I not do the gloss and just do full henna treatments once a month? I hope that I didn’t confuse you, lol.
Question. How long does the hair oil last? A week? Months? A year?
You gained over 20k followers in under a year ? 🐐
I know, it's crazy!
Thank you
Thanks
Hello have you heard of ambunu? I added the infused ambunu water as my liquid to my henna mix. Soooo amazing. Let me know if you are interested in knowing more. I am a henna head from way back. Love your hair and Ayurveda!
Hi Tara 👋🏽no I'm.not familiar with ambunu...tell me more! It's water? Added to oil?
It's the curl definition for me
Did you rinse it out and then use shampoo and conditioner or did you rinse it out with just water? Thanks you.
I love the way you explain Henna let me tell u , my first experience with henna was horrible I followed a utuber who didn’t explain and I didn’t research it either and my hair fell out bad , but I didn’t give up a year later I tried it again and yes I was scared but this time I learned everything you said with the help of @curly proverbs and my hair is amazing now growing like crazy I love henna now , it’s a must try.
So happy to hear you didn't give up 🤗
Fantastic advice. I love henna. Love your style, succinct, informative yet quirky and amusing. Thank you. Just to confirm. Wait 2 hours with mixture and apply to freshly washed hair and leave in 5 hours and then rinse out and apply deep conditioner?
Thank you so much! You can let the dye sit for 2-4 hours. I know that some people like to let it sit for 8 hours or even overnight, but I find it's not necessary. Even if you were to "prematurely" apply this to your hair it will eventually release the dye once applied to your hair. Add the oil/conditioner ONLY once ready to use, if you add it before the dye might take longer to release as the oils might inhibit that. Yes, apply to freshly washed hair and leave it in your hair for 2-4 hours. I left it in for 5 that day just because, lol. I have slept with it in my hair overnight before. Once you rinse it out go in with a deep condition and rinse that out. no shampoo.
@@ProudMane ahh thank you for the explanation. Got it. Great news cause i did wonder why others waited so long unnecessarily. Thank you being high porosity i can do this more often. Have a great weekend.
@@ElegantPaws01 sorry, someone brought to my attn I told you not to shampoo. Please shampoo. That was my bad. I mixed up the response to my other video about the fenugreek and hibiscus mask lol. I've been getting so many comments I'm tryna keep up. Pls shampoo AND deep condition.
Beautiful hair!!! Which Henna did you use?
Thank you! It's the "Noor" brand.
Can one use pure henna oil instead of powder?
I Love your hair! How did you get them to loosen (did you notice it with the use of henna overtime?, if so how long?) I think I actually would like the loose curl effect you mentioned henna have.
Thank you 💕 the henna does have a cumulative effect. With consistent use your curl pattern may loosen. I use to use it weekly...then biweekly...and I noticed it was loosening too much. So I switch to every 3 months but use other herbs to "control" the loosening. Hope this helps.
@@ProudMane yes it does! Thanks for responding. 💜
Great Video. I love your look. You are BEAUTIFUL! Can you please provide the ingredients and the amount you use in your description box. It makes it easier to see how much we may need to adjust our henna or mask for our own personal hair lengths. I finally got all of my herbs and am so excited to get started. I will be following you primarily with using herbs. I love your energy and your daughter is Beautiful just like you💖💖💖
Thanks so much Janice. Yes I'll start putting those measurements in the description. It's in the video though for reference. 🙏🏽💕
@@ProudMane thank you soooo much! You replied. I will be doing this Henna Mask tomorrow and so looking forward to it. I will be using Cassia and cutting down the measurements of everything else because my hair is supper fine and about shoulder length so I do not need as much product. I like that you keep your powders and herbs in jars. I actually purchased several mason jars from the Dollar Tree and will be putting my products into them and labeling the jars. I truly love your videos and your personality. Keep making the great contents. By the way, do you live in the United States? You have a slight accent. Blessings💖💖💖💖
P.S. It would be nice if you do a video just telling us about your hair journey and how long it took for you to get your hair to the current length and fullness, etc., I am so excited about this journey and looking forward to doing videos to share and tell everyone I know about you as I progress in my journey. Thank you lovely.
@@janicejonessanders thanks so much I appreciate the support. I love labeling and organizing my herbs lol 😆makes me happy. No I live in Canada. What accent do you hear? Lol I was born in Jamaica tho...is that it? And I'll think about a hair journey video down the line. Thanks for the tip.
@@ProudMane It is that Jamaican Accent Young Lady♥️. I actually have the henna mask in my head now. Plan in keeping it on for about three to four hours.
I will definitely be looking forward to new videos from you.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Your hair is so healthy and shiny😍. You stated 1 cup of henna, in the video it looks like you used 2 cups, which measurement should it be?
Thank you. I did use 1 cup. The measuring cup was 1/2 so that's why I added 2.
Hi there is this done on clean scalp or not?
Loving the content luv I will be using the hibiscus and Fenugreek mask this wash week and next wash week I will do this henna mask 🥰. Did you get a chance to check out my deep conditioner caps?
Yes, let me know how it turned out for you. And yes, I did check out the caps. They are beautiful
@@ProudMane Do you have a P.O BOX? I can send you one if you like.
@@donnac163 I actually don't have one lol I'm still working out the kinks. I'm new 🤭🤭. I'll let you know once I look into it. Thanks so much 🙏🏽
@@ProudMane OK🥰
@@donnac163 hey, can you email me @ the email in my description box, thanks!
Hi! :) I was wondering what do you use to shampoo your hair and do you use any leave in conditioner after you wash your mask out? Thank you!! :)
Hey! I use the Jamaican black castor oil to cleanse my hair thoroughly after the mask (about 3 washes) then a 4th wash with the 100% virgin coconut oil daily hydration shampoo. Both from shea moisture. The latter is hydrating and replenishes moisture to my hair even though it is a shampoo. For leave in I use shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil. It's my fave! Hope this helps.
@@ProudMane Thank you so much! :D I really appreciate these tips and your videos! They help me so much in the process of growing my hair healthy and strong!
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Can I put this on transitioning hair ?
Yes you can
@@ProudMane Thank you
I’m 4C Low porosity and terrified to use Henna can I use it once a year Or is Cassia less drying as Henna so I may use it more often ... Or can I eliminate them from the mask ingredient all together.... Cuz!! I’ll mess around and be bald which is my opposite goal rt #NewNaturalGirl
What's the shelf life of this mask?
Saved this recipe for my next henna treatment. Have you ever used coffee as your liquid?
I have never buy I've heard good things. I'm so curious. Have you? If so, how was it?!
@@ProudMane I yet to try it that way but I too have heard good things about it.
@@coilyloxs9696 well lemme know if you do :)
I do like your videos. Is your hair 4c?
No. Type 3.
Question, has Henna elongated your curly pattern any? It has literally straightened the front of my hair and the top is still kinky. Now I have multitextured hair . I believe I was using it too oftenly. Smh . Do you know how I can fix this ?
Yes henna definitely loosened my curl pattern which is why I only do it 4 times per year. Every 3 months. I used it on my daughter and the same thing happened. I used the raw aloe plant for 2 months consistently on her hair and her curls came back like they never left. Also if u add amla to you henna mask it will aid in combating the loosening effect of the henna. Try these.
You can use amla. It will bring the curls back.
Great video. What is the purpose of the Saran Wrap
1. To prevent the mask from touching and staining things and 2. To trap the heat and allow it to penetrate more effectively.
@@ProudMane ok. Thank you
Hi! I have a question. Does henna change/stretch your curl pattern?
It has the ability to. If you wish to keep your curl pattern intact, add Zizyphus or Amla to your Henna treatment.
Wouldn't I be able to use it more frequently since they are other herbal remedies besides henna ? Wouldn't the potency of henna be diluted because of the other herbs?
I don't think the henna is "diluted" due to the addition of other herbs. They're aren't many herbs that can match or overpower the strength or potency of henna. Plus I'm using henna as my base. The quantity is much greater than the other herbs. Adding the other herbs can make a difference but in my opinion it would not overpower the potency of the henna. Hope this helps.
What shampoo did you use to wash it out because most shampoos will strip away everything the mask did right?
I use Jamaican black castor oil from the shea moisture line. The shampoos won't strip away the henna mask. The henna has already bonded to the hair shafts.
6:00
How do you still it from staining your bathroom?
Put some newspaper on the floor. As for rinsing it out in the tub, it never stains my tub tbh.
Why green tea? Can I use black tea instead?
Yes you can use black tea. Green tea and black tea both aid in blocking DHT which is responsible for hair loss (also mentioned in the video) 😀
Do you apply oil after you wash it out?
I apply my DIY ayurvedic hair oil.
So after the henna sits for the 5 hours do you cowash and deep condition?
I shampoo as normal and deep condition
@@ProudMane thank you
Can I still color my hair if I have henna
Not advisable, sister...
I've got a question how do you keep your hair black with henna ??
Indigo
@@ProudMane I'm aware but after that how do you keep it black if you keep using henna
@@Vessel_of_God
Use black coffee and Amla. It won’t be black, but it’ll be quite dark on its own.
Can you use the henna after a fresh color or just stay away from henna all together
You can put henna on colour treated hair BUT I'd wait at least a month minimum.
