  • This video shows my Henna Gloss recipe. It consists of my Henna powder, a deep conditioner of choice, and oil of choice. Henna is able to strengthen the hair immensely. When combined with water the powder releases the Lawsone dye which is the active ingredient that fortifies the hair. It binds to hair depositing the dye and strengthens the weakened areas of the hair. I love this stuff!!

    I use warm aloe vera juice instead of water to mine. It makes such a huge difference.

    I rinse my henna over the sink and apply deep conditioner while I m at the sink and do the final rinse in the shower. That way I don't have to worry about stains.

    I applied henna to my hair and it changed my hair colour to a nice orange/brownish highlights. Love it keeps all my grey hair at bay for almost 3 months

      @@AG-vp1ok The color is permanent. The new growth comes in gray. It leaves my gray reddish. I use indigo the next day after henna on the new growth around my facial area only because I like a little reddish throughout the rest of my hair for highlights.

    so in India you would mix the henna in a cast iron skillet and let it sit overnight and it would turn black and thats what you would use if you want dye your hair black instead of that the orange color

      Wow! That's good to know! However, I've been keeping that brassy, reddish brown look. After I used henna for the first time and it hit those gray hairs that's what I ended up with and I liked it lol. Now I also discovered once I did my final with clove water.......I was like yeah baby!!! Still doing it like that till this day. Thanks for your tip tho cause black is my natural color and Incase I ever wanna go back I now know what to do!!!!👍😃

    Loving it from Brazil , I add honey and aloe vera gel , and it saved my hair from quimio and I rinse with conditioner and I only use shampoo after three to four days...🇧🇷💐

    I've never seen boiling watering with henna. It should be hot but not smokey hot as you see here. I wouldn't use oil if you want dye to be absorbed thoroughly throughout hair.

    I have a TWA, therefore I guess I'll be using a teaspoon of the masque and oils. Lol That masque changed my hair game very drastically!

    henna is the TRUTH!! but I forgot to use gloves one day while applying and you were right about the staining. had orange hands for at least 3 days 😂

      Do you add honey or any oils to it? I add so much in my henna it crazy- almo powder, moringa powder, aloe Vera powder, cloves and fenugreek powder, honey , coconut milk and she butter melted.

    I had to stop using henna and indigo on my hair because it would turned my gray hair red/orange. Cassia didn't work either. I'm so upset because I LOVE HENNA.

      That’s strange if you added indigo to your henna it should have turned your grey hair black or dark blue🤔

      You have to do 30 percent henna and 70 percent indigo to get a dark color.

    I keep my hair in twists too. I haven't found a way to keep the henna from staining my nails when twisting my hair. I rinse out well, deep condition, and rinse again. Stained nails every time. What is your secret?

    by far the most informative and understandable video on henna❤ just one question, when you say deep conditioner and then sitting under hooded dryer for 30 mins, you are talkin about a leave in conditioner right? or i have missed something?😅

      Great question, with deep conditioning you would apply the product (deep conditioning masks) and sit under the hooded dryer, and then go back and wash it out. Some deep conditioners are made to leave in as well and most companies put that on the label.

      Never shampoo after henna as it deepens in color after rinsing also..wait for 1-2 days n then hot oil (preferably mustard oil) massage n shampoo next day 👍🏻hope that helps❣️

      Every week is way too much. Try it once and see how your hair reacts first. I do this every 4-5 months. Because it’s so effective.
