My First Open House

- How I prepared:
-Downloaded the app, "Open House", in iPhone app store
-Opened the MLS listing on laptop to study property
-Had one open house sign in front yard
What I wished I would have done differently:
-Get there earlier
-Studied property before hand, maybe printed out info on location, etc.
-Business cards (didn't have any made yet)
-Candle
-I learned some things that are and are not okay to disclose
-Advertised the open house to neighbors

How did you find out how deep the pool was and what kind of wood flooring there was? I am not sure if you have seen southern charm but Cameron has come a long way she didn't know that stuff either but on the last season she was naming the wood type on the floors and what kind of marble was in the kitchen and I'm interested to know how we find that out . Thank you!

Thank you for the video. I have a question : does the realtor showing the home have to clean the home and make it look presentable before showing? I ask since do a lot if different realtors show the same home? thanks for the video
The listing agent is responsible for staging the home or having the owners stage it. Any realtor can hold a open house for any other realtor, regardless of what company they are both with. As long as there is an agreement.
Awesome tips! I am currently studying to become a teacher, but it's taking me quite a while and would like to start working already. Where do you recommend I start looking to get my license? I am asking because I would not want to get scammed on a website or misinterpret the information. I am from Brownsville, Texas btw. :)
