Boss 302s have ran as quick as 11.8 at 117 mph bone stock on slicks and more than one person has accomplished this. The 392 shouldn't be taking down a boss boss owner prob needs to learn how to drive. All bosses 12-13 were manual trans so driver actually makes a difference.
Not really. The 392 has 100 foot more pounds of torque and a 8 speed auto. 392 has too much power. The regular bodies are even faster. Scats with tires run mid to high 11s with a good prepped track. Also, the Boss isn't running 11.7 lol google has it certified at 12.8. Most are running high 12s to 13s.

(felt like a ram 1500). if the sidepipes are not engaged the car is sucked out. track key with restrictor plates removed there is no way. you can also tell that he was bogging that boss at the beginning, that thing needs to be in the high revs to make power. this was one driver way better than the other.
I had a 2012 Boss, I’d love to have another one. Also I’d like to see these 2 cars on a race course, Dodge doesn’t have a chance there because it doesn’t do corners. And another thing, why all these rolling starts, try one from a stop.

Top end? Dude a boss motor smokes that 6.4 on top end lol. They pull to 7500 rpm stock and can pull to 8000 with a tune. Boss 302s have went as quick as 11.8 at 117 bone stock on slicks. With a good driver there is no way a boss should be being taken down by a stock widebody 392 auto or not.

It's manual so driver makes a huge difference. Also a passenger is going to weigh alot more than 3/4, of a tank of gas so that is eating into the mustangs weight advantage. They run as quick as 11.7 at 117 on slicks bone stock otherwise. It shouldn't be getting pulled from a roll by a 392.
(Disclaimer) Not hating on the mustang owner.. he seems like cool guy, but he has no idea what he's talking about with engine! Boss and GT are similar engines. The boss code name by Ford is roadrunner not coyote, and it does NOT have triple cams in head, it has 2 cams per head just like the coyote. What's different is BOSS is built with quality parts ready for modders, the real performance 0-60 type stuff is just 3:73 gears, the tuning and that boss 302 intake manifold other wise it's going to preformance in a straight line similar to a tuned GT + intake. To the real bones of the matter, what makes roadrunner engine stand apart? Boss comes with some nice forged internal elements from Ford! Forged pistons, main & rod bearings, reinforced heads, hi lift cams and 7500RPM redline(HELLO TURBO), and some other stuff I can't remember right now. In the end these boss mustangs are superior to GT out of the box if you plan to punish the car and modify the car, boss will be your huckleberry. This boss would hold up to boost and punishment far longer than the scatpack as well many cars in class. Sadly the boss flies under the radar, it's been a great car for better part of 12 years now, it's just many of the buyers don't apply what it was built to do from factory. And even racing and driving them they don't understand where to be with the powerband! These are high revving engines that you want to be nearly 7,000RPM when you start a race, a lot of guys are tuning these boss's to nearly 8,000rpm!! They will eat all way to redline.
The Boss 302 was never built for the quarter mile. Short quick shifts for the track and twists. Nonetheless, cool comparison. Both of these cars are highly respectable. Big fan of the scat packs, especially the widebodys! That said, the Boss did beat the Audi r8 at Laguna 😏 so shes no slouch. Had to throw that in 😂

I have a 2009 6-speed procharged and built SRT8 and FBO Auto Hellcat, up until now everything's been cool, my Hellcat makes around 900 at the wheels and is running on E85 here lies the problem though, I live in California and sent my Hellcat is a 2015 I finally got the dreaded I need to bring it in to get it smogged letter in the mail😢.. now even though it has been shown that a V8 on ethanol puts out as much if not less than a Prius since my Hellcat has been tuned I cannot sell it ( which I would not try to do anyways!¡! Nor can I set it back to stock in order to pass smog so here I sit with a car I spent over a hundred thousand dollars on easily with the mods including, but when July 8th rolls around they literally told me that if I drive it and get pulled over I will have my car taken and crushed😮 fuck that I say!@#@ where is the Justice or any kind of justification for this, if they would just hook my car up to a sniffer where they put the thing in the tailpipe it would easily pass smog, 🌽 but know this new law they enacted here in California in 2021 on July 19th which is my birthday and just happens to be a coincidence fucking lovely one is stupid and obviously I'm just so I'm going to literally stand in front of my car while it's in my garage and not move and he'll with them taking the car if it comes to that, now I know I'm bitching here and I don't care it's pissing me off, I love my Hellcat it's comfortable and roomy and I just enjoy driving it, I have a perfect driving record literally perfect, no speeding tickets no DUIs nothing so I feel like I should have some kind of fucking break or a chance here! Can’t say about the Boss because never driven one. Spent time in 2019 Bullitt and Scat Pack Widebody. Really didn’t feel the Scat Pack was faster. Of course opinions vary. Dam the boss looks small compared to the Scat.

From my understanding not every car is the same, some are freaks of nature others aren’t. Prominent with 392s. Just speculation though from the many I’ve raced and scene race doesn’t make it true though. But I imagine it is true as you can tell from gaps in trunk lids hoods why would the motor be any different than certainly with castings, they tend to leave flash. Who knows, just a theory. good runs. Still don’t think he beat a zo6 unless it was from a dig they are slow from a dig and usually spin. I beat a c7 stock he was modified at a light I had no chance but ended up winning for that reason. That’s why they call it racing.

This boss needs a driver, they run 12.1-12.3 stock around 114-117mph. 392 scats run about the same time around 111-113mph. That boss should be pulling on the top end. Guy needs to learn to drive that boss
@@landoninahellcat8745 I could say the same thing about 392 scats, best time I've seen one at the track in stock form run was a 12.6. My boss with a full stiff road racing set up and stock motor ran a 12.5 at 116mph. It all about the driver especially with a stick.
I'm a huge ford guy. I have a bone stock gen2 5.0 6speed auto, I've ran 16 392s I beat most of them because they couldn't drive. Only a few beat me with good driver mod. Respect to the 392, those cars are fast🫡
It literally wouldn't lol. I've done more racing than you have. We have tested it multiple times. It's not making up 3 car lengths lmao. There was absolutely no difference from the window down and up. All windows down would be way more drag 1 isn't anything.

Well it’s my first mustang, and the fact of the triple over head cam is from the 21 GR premium supra I had. Don’t know much other than it’s a rare car and is meant for track not straight line driving, when it’s stock. No need for the hostility, I’m a Toyota guy in a Ford. If I don’t know the information oh well. It’s a nice car and is an exhilarating driving experience for sure though. Still learning the ins and outs of mustangs, let alone the boss. From my understanding not every car is the same, some are freaks of nature others aren’t. Prominent with 392s. Just speculation though from the many I’ve raced and scene race doesn’t make it true though. But I imagine it is true as you can tell from gaps in trunk lids hoods why would the motor be any different than certainly with castings, they tend to leave flash. Who knows, just a theory. good runs. Still don’t think he beat a zo6 unless it was from a dig they are slow from a dig and usually spin. I beat a c7 stock he was modified at a light I had no chance but ended up winning for that reason. That’s why they call it racing.

This boss needs a driver, they run 12.1-12.3 stock around 114-117mph. 392 scats run about the same time around 111-113mph. That boss should be pulling on the top end. Guy needs to learn to drive that boss
Most of them aren't running low 12s. High 12s to 13s. Scats are more consistent cause of their trans.
@@landoninahellcat8745 I could say the same thing about 392 scats, best time I've seen one at the track in stock form run was a 12.6. My boss with a full stiff road racing set up and stock motor ran a 12.5 at 116mph. It all about the driver especially with a stick.
I'm a huge ford guy. I have a bone stock gen2 5.0 6speed auto, I've ran 16 392s I beat most of them because they couldn't drive. Only a few beat me with good driver mod.

Well it’s my first mustang, and the fact of the triple over head cam is from the 21 GR premium supra I had. Don’t know much other than it’s a rare car and is meant for track not straight line driving, when it’s stock. No need for the hostility, I’m a Toyota guy in a Ford. If I don’t know the information oh well. It’s a nice car and is an exhilarating driving experience for sure though. Still learning the ins and outs of mustangs, let alone the boss. So cut your boi some slack. 👍🏽
