- Nephrotic Syndrome is one of the commonest kidney problems seen in children. Unlike other kidney diseases, it is a curable kidney diseases in the majority of the children. I share my experience over the last 30 years of managing more than 100,000 children with this disease. I also share the common questions that I have been asked by parents of my patients over the slat 30 years. I also share the new treatment of nephrotic syndrome in children.

My son took three years to recover; from age 8 to11. He was treated with steroids , high protein diet, and penicillin injections as antibiotic cover. He recovered and is now a handsome man of 42 with a wife and two beautiful kids. He had all the problems mentioned by the DR: fluid retention, breathing difficulty, bloated body etc, and the doctor was bit slow in giving him diuretics, once started he shed extra fluid rapidly and recovered.

Best result in avoid salt or food with out salt, oil little, no spicy...I'm giving only dal a d rice since 4 month.
Best result than medicine.
But it is too difficult to eat for a 8 yr old boy, for me also because I have to eat for his happiness .
