I just love when a person knows how to explain what they are reviewing. The company picked the perfect person for the job, great walk round
What company?
Amazing looking bike, a right beast. Still kept with the old traditional look
Having had a 2002 and a 2008 Busa, I agree, to a degree, thats it's looks are not to everyones taste but to ride !!! Don'k knock it till you've ridden it!! as long as you try and get past the looks!! Great explanations Kate, Well done .
If people want to talk about the Hayabusa's looks.... Umm.. You know since 2003, every motorcycle made is SO ugly, they are basically unbearably ugly. The Hayabusa retains some of the 1990's styling which was the last good era of sportbikes. Year 2000, was the most beautiful time period for Japanese and Italian motorcycles, look them up, and EVERY SINGLE one of them was STUNNING. After 2003, they became so ugly, they were basically painfully ugly. They still haven't figured out the magic of the year 2000 dual headlight, sweeping lines. But they will get back to it, naturally. It will have taken 30 years for the idiot designers to realize that the 1998 Ducati 916 or 1998 Yamaha R1 were the most beautiful sportbikes in history, but I pray they will figure it out again someday. Nobody ever asked to have a small "nub" muffler under the oil pan, or a "slash cut" triangle muffler, or a crappy single headlight with LESS lighting coverage. Nobody asked for a smaller passenger seat, or sharp square edges on everything, or wedge shaped mufflers, or a crossplane "crap" crankshaft. Nobody asked to have motorcycles look like a bad sci-fi movie gone wrong. Triumph got better over the years, with their incredibly beautiful bikes, while everyone else went downhill pretty rapidly after 2003.
As always, great walk-around. I am not even interested in a new bike but I watch your presentations to the end because I do think you are wonderfully entertaining. I am a big fan of one liners and your singing. More than anything your walk-around is truly practical combined with a riding video seems to give a good and fair representation of any bike. Keep up the great work
Great info Kate - thx. Insurance quote is crazy!
Awesome review! Iconic bike for sure. You look good on it. I think it was made for you. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on riding it. Best!
I love the way, that you expland everything
Outstanding walk around presentation .the best dash operation explanation on CZcams IMHO.
Shucks!! I appreciate that! đ
Omg i like your accent and voice too! Your bri-ish accent is so attractive lady or as you would pronounce "laydeh" or "leh-eh" đđ
And yes the bike is nice too, a lot of bike for me but i can see it is perfect and comfortable for big long trips.
Thanks for the review/overview and overall video and content. Its very informative as well as entertaining. Good đ
Thanks Jason!
As always very nice bikeđ
Interesting video Kate look forward to seeing you riding the bike
Knocked another one out the park, Kate!! Hands down, best reviewer out there.Wow and the insurance costđ€ŻPlay big, pay big I guess.
More singing, please!!!đ€đ
smashed it as usual Kate đ, bikes an icon, very marmite, be interesting what your thoughts end up as after rideout, see you inthe next one mate.
Lovely from the side aspect the gen 3 isnât it⊠I had a gen 1 stealth. Mrs Headrace and I did Perth and back in a weekend on it, from
Southampton. Only thing that failed to impress was the old 6 pot front brakes, which were awful and and shared with many Suzukis of the era. No denying a lot of bike for the money, taking into account prices now. Yep, Iâd not rule out another. Your little song-letâs in your vids make me smile lol. Keep âem cominâ, Kate. Love your work. đđ
Really well done review đ. The new Hayabusa is stunning in my opinion
I have one (had the previous model too) - same colour - fantastic bike and IMO an improvement on the previous one! - nice walkround - enjoyed it - thanks!
Thanks for a thorough review, and a great big laugh for "c'mon Kate, you've 'ad your spinach!" đ€Ł
Greetings,
As always another lovely detailed video đșđžđđŸđșđž
Keep producing more videos.
Nice one Kate. Stille remember when the Hayabusa came out. Not long after that several brands made a pact to restrict the amount of horsepower to protect the public riding a bike that potential could kill them. This one is also an impressive machine. Looking forward to see you riding this bike. Big thumbs upđđđłđ±
I must have one as soon as possible. Great walk around đ
Jeez, my 23 Hayabusa is 840 a year. 25 y/o male with no claims. Full coverage.
A friend of mine owned one of these, a 2008 model and of course as mates do, we swap rides occasionally, I rode this behemoth and OMG! It's a rocketship on 2 wheels ! Not much else on the road can keep up with it.
It is a beast!
Muchas gracias por el vĂdeo.
Espero poder pronto disfrutar de esta maravillosa maquina. Llevo ya tiempo esperando.
La he comprado en el mismo color.
Not a bike for me personally, but always a great video & enjoyable to watch. Canât say I could ever cope with the old style speedos now Iâve had a decent TFT and a digital readoutâŠ
Awesome Kate hope you had a great time with the bike this bike has a big story you know
Your ride awesome Kate
Thank you so much!
@@UsernameKate welcome Kate đ
So, a de-tuned Hayabusa? Ha ha What a beast!! Looking fwd to the ride vid.
It's just a muscle bike or sports tourer now .
Dont be so sure it is "detuned". The peak rpm power is 3% lower but there is almost 10% more power through the whole midrange compared to the last Busa. Plus the auto gearshift and electronics etc get faster quarter mile times on this gen than previous gen Busas.
Also, the brakes are very sharp now and they changed the steering geometry to make it more nimble and more sportbike style steering.
I rode litre bikes on the track for years and my gen3 Busa is a lot more sport bike than touring bike believe me! It is like a litre bike took steroids and turned into the hulk.
@@wizrom3046 Mine was a tongue in cheek comment.
@@colblimp1882 ... đ
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and my personal fav' has always been the (1999/2000?) copper/silver colour which seemed to come in for more than its fair share of criticism. Oh, well, maybe I just should've gone to Specsavers.
Just bought one exactly the same arrives in august thanks for your inciteful videos
Not long now!!!
@@UsernameKate
Many thanks đ
Looking forward to your riding videos as being there aren't many busa's here in Hobart Tasmania as they sell here for 27,000 Australian dollars
Somewhat limited market for such great bikes đ
Nice one Kate, I owned a 2008 Orange\black one, die for the colour. Shame we get old as it is a stretch to bars but loved it. Cost ÂŁ9500 new and traded 8 years later 17000miles for ÂŁ5800. Did I tell ya I got a new Tiger 900 GT Pro now, ha!
I absolutely love my new busa !
Yesss! I bloody bet!
Yes, Kate, youâve definitely had your spinach. When searching for my last bike, I did consider the Hayabusa, but settled on the Yamaha XJR1300. The Busa was too intimidating for me and, not being a track rider, wouldnât make use of the available power.
Fab review. Very indepth, thank you. That insurance though, wow!! Under ÂŁ200 last year on my K13s. Admittedly its an older bike and I do less than 3000 miles....tad bit older too!
You're really the perfect leg length demonstrator for me!
đȘđȘđȘ
Good first look round video again Kate.
Thanks lyn! â€ïž
Don't let any of the negatives fool ya, as there are negatives with anything and everything produced by man himself. I've had both previous gens of this motorcycle, and now own the current, and am here to tell ya....it IS all that. Zuk nailed it while on their hiatus producing this thing under the radar. Best of every world incorporated into this machine. Likely tho with everything turning ev, this will be the last hayabusa model produced. So get your hands on one if you can before they aren't available anymore. Total legend the busa. And Kate is hott AF btw! đ
Great review Kate,I love this bike but not the insuranceâ€ïžâ€ïž
Great presentation! Thats a lot of bike. A bit scary!
Best efforts and thanks for sharing a good knowledge with us, May ALLAH protect you and give you success in your vlogs đčâïžđ€Č
"Big Bertha" indeed, have a safe and happy ride Kate. :>)
Good stuff Kate
Credit to you for moving around 260kg and the clip on makes it more difficult to manoeuvre đȘ
just my humble opinion its the must hideous cartoon like bike i have ever seen, great video again as always :)
đ„Čđ€Ł
i love to nosey around bikes like this and look at what they are capable of, but just not my thing, maybe one day i'll rent one for a day or two, but for now i'll stick to appreciating the engineering
đ
The thing is, you need that seat cowl to hold you onto the bike. The Hayabusa has more torque than just about any motorcycle you can buy, and the 3rd Gen has even more torque. In low gears, you actually need that cowl so you don't feel like you're going to be ejected off the bike. That's a 1340cc engine, with a long stroke, and it produces about 110 ft lbs of torque on the 3rd Gen, which is a car engine level of torque.
hey Kate. subscribed to your channel. You are the spitting image of my eldest granddaughter. I have owned 2 hayabusas and I rather fancy the new Gen 3 after looking at your review
Nice video and walk around.
Awesome! That's my bike (but mine is black). đ
Yep it is terrible to push! Ive been riding for 40 years including heavy harleys etc and this is the worst bike to push ever! Because the handlebars are so low and close together, and the motor is heavy and high, right at the front of the bike between the handlebars. Pushing it on wet grass is a nightmare, the tyres sink in and especially worse if you need to push it backwards lol. đŹ
But all the big stuff on this bike is awesome! Handling, steering, suspension, brakes, power, electronics, lights etc all fantastic.
The only negative points (for me) are all little things like pushing it, or the fact that it leans over too far on the sidestand (annoying, especially on wet grass - again), or minor issues with seat height and riding position.
One tip; the ECU has been hacked now (see MooreMafia video) and it shows that even in power mode 1 the bike will not give you full throttle until 5000 rpm. That is an important point to know, because below 5k it is a real gentle pussycat, and 5k and up can turn into a full-on snarling beast.
I love my black Busa and it even gets decent economy on freeway speeds 80 to 110 kph speeds. And the handling is really nimble for such a big weapon of a bike, even in traffic intersections and car park stuff etc it feels like a small nimble bike you dont feel the 264kg once the bike is moving more than 12mph or 20 kph. It is not a city commuter bike, stop-start traffic sucks, but for fast mountain sweeper roads or freeway zooming it is awesome. đđ
Damn Kate!⊠thatâs a big machine âșïžâŠ props to you đâșïž
Cheers haha
Kate, that was a long "walkround" - but then it is a gigantic bike!!
Long bike... long walkround đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

very informative walk around. both you and the bike are beautiful. would love to have you both.
Hayabusa is so beautiful bike..btw ur voice is beautiful i love you from India â„ïž very nice review đ
Hi Kate, you don't look like a pea on a drum đ€Ł is that local Bolton saying? Bike looks well made and well thought out but like you say a bit of a brute. Looking forward to the ride đ many thanks đđ
Hello Kate nice bike as always looking forward to seeing you ride it soon I'm off to watch the saints at the totally wicked stadium come on you saints ride safe lovely greetings from st Helens Merseyside
Greetings from Dubai,
Dang , it was like your singing your review on the bike , what a beautiful voice, are you a professional singer ?
Damn..that insurance quote made my eyes water đđđ
Iâm hoping being male and er slightly older than yourself may help bring the price downâŠthen again, being a new rider Iâm guessing Iâll be paying the same as an 18yr old getting quotes for a Hypercar đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž
đŹđŹ
The Busa is a beast, I call em BigasaBusa !
I have the same bike. I love it
I'm just glad Suzuki stuck with the analog for the speedometer. They added a computer đ„, but kept in mostly analog. Analog just gives a motorbike or car better detail! You can have computer đ„, but keep analog as well. & I'am so glad Suzuki Hayabusa is in it's 3rd generation. Because there's on thing that I like about a super sport bike. Its that is super long, super wide, and super heavy. That's what makes the ride so glorious and awesomeđ.
..and yeah....as it happens I am insured with BikeSure. đ
I loved the review and accent. I pick up mine from the dealer tomorrow, and the insurance is on the high side. I do have one question, though.. What does "Look like pea on a drum." mean? đđ
The opposite to an elephant riding a bicycle đ€Ł
Lovely bike Kate but not everyone has a flat piece of tarmac into their driveway or garage. I had a client that had one his first name was Keith. He struggled with the Suzuki Hayabusa moving it around and he sold it. Love you videos keep them coming ..:)
I wanted to buy a 2020 Hayabusa here in the US. They were still making the 2nd Gen, in a beautiful stunning maroon color with maroon wheels, in 2020. I wanted to buy a brand new bike. But it was $495 USD a month for insurance here, the necessary full coverage insurance, to get a bank auto loan. The cost of the actual loan was about half of that. So the insurance would end up costing about $30,000, so you're paying for basically 3 or 4 motorcycles if you buy it new. A used bike doesn't require full coverage insurance, so it's only $45 a month for insurance on a used Hayabusa for "liability" insurance. The only loophole you can use to buy a new motorcycle is to buy it here on a credit card, or get a personal loan. You pay way more for interest on a credit card or personal loan, but you don't need "full coverage" insurance at $495 a month. I don't honestly know how people afford to buy a brand new Ducati DesertX or Hayabusa, unless you have enough money to buy it with cash, the insurance is just unbelievable.
Hiya Kate đđŒ
Just like Perfection, needs no Correction, Flawless, absolutely Flawless đ€
That's you, not the bike !! đ
Excellent video.
I have an important question to ask, I haven't found anything on the web!
Why is the rear mudguard or rock guard not fitted on most motorcycles?
It's not important?
No idea to be honest đ
"Big Bertha"đđ
She is a whopper
This is a lot of bike for the money đ
âïžđ€ a good walk around and explained clearly thanks đ I feel the same about the weight being a male 5â8 slim and not the hulk lots of gadgets for me itâs not riding I love the real feeling nothing beats a human brain đ§ b safe
Thanks Peter đ
Donât understand people who think this is ugly. Remember the best selling bike in the UK is the BMW GS. Now that is not a looker ! The Hyabusa looks sleek and purposeful. I like it. And unlike an adventure bike, it does not have a beak !
I kinda wish they had gone super modern and crazy power đ
Love from India đźđł
Thereâs new colours coming , I would like to see a drag race between gen1 gen2 gen3.
NEW VLOG IDEA UNLOCKED đ
@@UsernameKate Quickest reply Iâve ever had on a CZcams Channel.
@@777Ruffdriver it's a great shout! đđ»
A bit controversial maybe but I don't like the look, I'm sure it's mad fun to ride but I've never found Suzuki bikes to look that great. :)
Great vid! You don't mention how tall you are or what your inside leg measurement is. That would give shorter riders a guide. Anything to get more girls on bikes is a benefit. All the best!
Some nice features but were the focus groups sight impaired or on acid.
Two beautiful girls. Very good review. Iâve all ways liked this bike and if I was not disabled I would buy one tomorrow in the gun metal or black. Iâm not looking for speed if I bought one tomorrow I just like the bike . They should keep the cot pit as itâs all ways been I donât like digital but thatâs just me. O by the way your stunning. This was a very good review you explained it very well and it makes a change to hear it from a biker girl. Ride safe keep well. Thanks
I always liked the look of the " Hawk " or is it " Valken " ...?
And it's speciale that you can get 220+ hp out of a 1300 cc engine...
Cool bike.
Kate, I have been pushing for 200mph for a long time. My best GPS is 167. That is a very hard target to hit.
Mi dream bike đłâ€â€â€â€
What a monstrosity!!!!.
The bike ,I mean Kate , not you.
You were great ,as usual. This is a fantastic presentation of something I would not go near if you paid me, so for what it`s worth from an old fart you must be doing a good job.
Watched it all through in wonder and bewilderment . It is like something from another planet to me and as you say has a similar mass.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Hayabusa power
The insurance quote was like a bucket of icewater poured on my head. How much to insure a jet airplane I wonder, idly. But then you do have your own small planet. =]
đŹ
Not having really good hand holds does make pushing around a bit more difficult, Kate.
Next video high speed lane splitting .... nawww just kidd'n.
Glad your having more fun 'n time off (doubt it) from not having a 8 to 5 have to go to work job.
Hmmm marmite bike... i like marmite but i dont like this đ
Another quality walkaround though all the details there
i like the rider seat look. besides, what if grandma is broke down along the highway?
I can visualized an Akatsuki wrap on the alien busa
162 every lap and I won the race!đbut I would prefer a yam 700 adventure these days lolđ
God I can't wait to get mine, hope the delivery isn't too long. Too bad this silver isn't available anymore but the new dark grey is just as good looking. Don't really like the black one
Insurance quote is scandalous! Nice bike but could not justify paying that amount for insurance. Could get another bike for that. đ
KYB suspension may have reminded older fans of Terry Wogan of KYBO (keep your bowels open) which would probably be better associated with brakes.
any thanks kate, am astounded at the insurance price, until i realised i am 61 ,so my
price was 361 on a 1999 busa ,
since sold but looking now for a later one ....
hello good morning Kate my friend Manuel has it he is 20 years old but he hardly moves it he has 70000km and mine in two years I have done 30000km and I have 85000km I do not like it too much and my accident was with gsx 750 greetings ok đđ
I had a Suzuki Gs 850 shaft drive years ago, what's that got to do with this bike, well absolutely nothing đ€ I do like Suzuki bikes but not this one. đOh I do like the Sv 650.....might get one of those, anyway...... Cheers đ€Łđ€Ł
Gs 850 is probably a similar weight as the hyabusa but much easier on the eye.
Just as a perspective on insurance for the type of person that will buy this bike, my insurance for the same bike is ÂŁ465 comprehensive
In my 50s with clean license and full no claims, hope this helps for the people thinking of buying this bike, great video but your not the demographic that will buy this bike
Regards a fan of your vlogs
Hey, a different relevant perspective is always welcomed đ thanks Chris!
What's the size of the front discs
My new suzu haya and girl
3:40 I wonder why Suzuki uses nissin on the rear brake and brembo on the front
I've noticed quite a lot of manufacturers do it. Maybe a cost vs efficiency thing đ€
Bikesure quoted me ÂŁ1200 for my Busa. I'm 54 and my bike is 9. I think they got our ages mixed up! I got a much more reasonable ÂŁ410 quote from Sergei.
So much cheaper to insure in Florida. Also no rules on bike choice by age or experience. A 16-year-old could buy and ride that bike here.
Crazy! So different here!
