I actually did one a year ago. It lasted around 8 or 9 months.

@@LandtoHouse You might consider painting it with a UV-resistant clear coat after you polish it. The plastic lens originally comes with a UV resistant coating which eventually breaks down.

The kit that I used had a UV spray but apparently only lasted about half a year.

Matrix used the low beam for daytime running lights. They are provided less current (?) so that is why the LEDs are known to flicker. In your case, it seems you only tested them with the lights "on" (ie, full power).

Nice. I upgraded my motorcycle from halogen to led, loved the result.

LED is way brighter. For those of us over the age of 30 it is important to have better light.

    1. Those things help the driver see but on coming traffic gets blinded, trust me I am always cursing someone out due to those lights. 😎😎
    2. On my Silverado the lights are pretty simple to get too, in my Jetta you need a Rocket Scientist to change the lights. 😁
    3. My Wife had similar plastic headlight covers in her Nissan Xterra, we had a friend use some type of rubbing compound and a buffer and those things looked brand new.

I get that with bright led headlights. Even worse when they are on a tall truck. With my dull covers its not terrible. I used some of that polish and clear coat a while ago. Lasted around 6 months.

Lasted about a year for my wife, our Daughter has the SUV now and she has complained about the "foggy" headlights.

Your right that's why I've always been apprehensive to switch over to aftermarket headlight led, newer vehicles with factory led's does not glare to oncoming traffic
