UPDATE: As of Patch 1.06 you can now fully complete Varre’s quest OFFLINE. This involves a step where you invade and defeat a new NPC, Magnus the Beast Claw, at Writheblood Ruins in Altus Plateau. You can defeat Magnus the Beast Claw after you get the Festering Bloody Fingers, instead of invading 3 other players’ worlds in online multiplayer. Unfortunately I cannot retroactively add this step to the guide series, but it seemed worth mentioning.

The power of going "straight to the point"
As a father and someone who works fulltime, these video's are a great help! I know part of the charm of this game is exploring and figuring things out, but unfortunately I just don't have all that much time on my hands to invest in this game. So thats why I use this video for directions to locations and to do things in the right order. But I do like to wander of and do most of the exploration myself. These vids help me to enjoy the game a great deal, with the limited time I've got, so I want to thank you for making these!
if that’s your first play through i don’t recommend watching tutorial videos. it makes the experience even better doing everything alone and discovering new things, i completed the game poorly in my first play through and skipped many quests so now in new game plus i am beating the game freshly and properly
@@3arooshy465 Yes I'm aware and do think you're right. But unfortunately I don't think I'll get to play it again and invest another 100+ hours, but I do want to experience most of the quests/story lines the game has to offer.
@@3arooshy465 In my opinion it doesn’t ruin the experience, maybe there are less surprises but he won’t miss out on anything and will go through every quests. The fact that you can lock yourself out of some quests or items if you progress too fast makes you want to do things in the right order.
@@roelfoI’m in the same boat and I’ve already locked myself out of some of the quests just wandering around watching random videos to get powerful but it’s costing me.
dw, FromSofts quest design is maximum ass and not worth trying to figure out shit yourself when they can't even give you a quest log with the last shred of cryptic info some Npc gave you
On my 2nd playthrough now, beat the game at level 195, and missed like 60% of these npcs lmao. And I checked everywhere. So now I'm going with your videos step by step and truly getting to experience things in this game I love so much that I might have never had the chance. So thank you my man.

Using the erudition gesture with the glintstone crown equipped at the converted erudition tower gives two pretty good sorceries- Gavel of haima and hammer of haima

3 play threw of eccently speed balling rannis quest for different builds I needed some spice
I found some piece of useful dialogue: At 22:38 in the video, when traveling to the gate, you can rest at the site of grace. You will have an option to speak to Melina who will tell you only that it would be good to speak to our seamster, Boc. Boc will be there at that site of grace and you can give him the Golden Sewing Needle and have some dialogue with him.

Personal recommendation for returning players. Doing Varre's quest ahead of time doesn't effect anyone elses quests and allows you to get a super nice rune farm! Its also completable offline due to the NPC invasions you can do.
By that do you mean when npcs invade you? Do they count? I’m just there now and tried invading others 3 times but it seems to take a long time and I can’t be bothered waiting I cancelled after trying for a while twice so far and just have it sitting there as I’m on my phone now no luck yet…. If npc invasions count that’ll be great and if not will I miss anything important by not doing this step?

This series is phenomenal and appreciated. I know I'm very late to the party, and this is such a small detail, but you can take a sending gate from just north of the academy gate town area and it will warp you directly to the last map fragment to the northwest. Much love

If you're having trouble with the black knife assassin like I did, run to the mist then quit out to lose agro. D's gold summon sign is infront of the door and he can tank a lot of the fight for you.

Legit the only way that fight is even a little Fair the enemy is so fast even if you try to learn it’s moves you will legit die at least four times as you have zero time to heal especially when enemies input read those actions

Before going to siofra river if you go to Redman castle you can find some unique dialog with jerren, you will have the option to talk about Iji and jerren will ask we were serving ranni and jerren will say after the festival ranni's fate will return to motion
There are two mistakes in this guide.
1. Before Fia is giving you the Weathered Dagger you have to progress more foward or (maybe) rest some times at a grace.
2. 32:02 You can speak with Iji and (more important) Seluvis! Seluvis will give you an item for Sellen. Give it to Sellen and she will give you Information for Blaidd.
This series is much more than helpful, it is liberating and makes me genuinely enjoy traversing through the lands between like the main character of berserk

This guide is super helpful I decided to go for all the achievements because I was enjoying the game so much and now I'm just playing through trying to do all quests and npc interactions in 1 run and this is very helpful thank you for putting alot of time and effort into this series 👍
Just a reminder if you want to save the key you get at The Four Belfries, the woman in The Church of Inhibition at 15:30 can also be used to get the maidens blood for Varre's Questline!
What are the other ports for? You can find another imbued sword somewhere along the rooftops where the 2nd flint stone key is
Also the reason he uses the key there is because you need the stormhawk for nephelis quest

Half of the NPC's dies because you helped them or they decided to kill you... Man, we are already in a dying world (not as bad as in a Dark Souls but still), why can't you just help eachother in this difficult time :)
Fortunately, there are some NPCs you can/will have a positive impact on (no spoilers here). But this guide will help you see those positive endings through!

At 27:05 If you go right, into the tower there is an Imbued Sword key. One of the 3 Belfry keys in the game, a good one if you wanna open more or you used it on the wrong one first time.

This is so helpful, I had to do this on my own with just fextralife before I found this was such a massive pain, but with save states at the end I was able to platinum in one playthrough! but now with this guide my other characters just breeze through thanks to you lol

Remember the knife print isn't needed for Fia or Rodgiers quest as of recent. If you talk to D up until his invitation and then talk to Fia, you can give D the knife and not require the knife print steps
