Fabulous ship and a great video, but to be absolutely honest... I`m not sure if I like the retro 50`/60`s furniture and decor thing. Just my personal taste, but I really don`t know if I could handle weeks at sea with it. 😕
Spirit of Adventure launching in 2020 might be the ship for you then! Spirit of Discovery is the retro/traditional themed ship, whereas Adventure will have a more modern/contemporary feel.
What’s with the self serve coffee machines? More McDonalds than a ship that’s supposed to offer a luxury experience. Decor quite nice and far superior to most of the present day kitsch palaces. Thanks for the video.
I think these ones are making fresh from the whole bean, unlike p&o and Cunard. Supposed to be pretty good. What is the offering on high end lines like Viking?
Those self serv coffe machines were in cabins.. english cruise lines like english hotels.. even luxury hotels tend to have tea and coffee making facilities in bedrooms because its what english expect especially as they are quite likely to drink several cups of tea whilst still in bed and preparing for the day... Viking cruise ships are similar luxury boutique style to Saga.. but they are aimed at the american market so disapointingly there are no in cabin tea making facilities though their river cruise boats have high quality tea and fresh coffee making in the public areas.. 24/7.
Fine and elegant design, details remind a lot of the art deco interior of many great past liners. Excellent atmospheric ambiance!
SAGA cater only for passengers ages 50+. Many of those shown in the video looked considerably younger.
