I Bought A Nokia N810 Acceptance Device | Lets Take A Look!

This is the 2008 Nokia N810, an internet tablet running a version of Linux called Maemo OS aka Internet Tablet OS 2008 Edition. I got this one off eBay for really cheap and it immediately stood out as being odd. With a coaxial diagnostics port at the back, weird stickers and a few other details that make me think its some sort of network acceptance device.
The Nokia N810 was announced in 2007 and released in 2008 as a Linux based internet tablet, mainly focused on entertainment and business. It did not have any calling features and lacked a sim card slot. It has a simple front facing vga camera for video calling and a slide out keyboard with a kickstand for ease of use. It also has wifi and bluetooth with a bunch of other options at the time. It is also capable of USB OTG or USB On The Go which is quite impressive for such an older device. It is not as popular as other Nokia's when it comes to be a collectors item but good working ones with all their parts are hard to come by. This one was cheap and being an acceptance unit for the Brazilian network Anatel, I had to get it and add it to my collection. I also have ordered a normal retail Nokia N810 to compare.
I will eventually get into more detail on what other differences this device has when compared to the retail version so stay tuned!.

These are considered rare phones or collectible phones and I am keeping them in my phone collection since they are considered as a vintage phones or retro phones.
My collection also includes Nokia Prototypes, Blackberry Prototypes, Motorola Prototypes, Sony Ericsson prototypes, Sony Prototypes, HTC Prototypes, Rare Nokia and other rare developer devices! These phones are no Android 13 or Android 14 powerhouses and It also ain't no iPhone 15 Pro Max, Google Pixel 8, Google Pixel 8a, Lumia 950Xl, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020, Google Pixel 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 12 Pro but are definitely interesting phones on their own!

the absurdity of some of nokias models to begin with combined with weirdness that comes with acceptance/prototype models is just a perfect combination

Actually ANATEL Is Brazil's communications agency. Every device that uses telecommunications has to be approved by it.

maybe the internal memory card is actually an internal memory itself, so thats why theres no sd card installed 😅
some sort of internal memory just like the the n96 maybe???
