The videos I'm working on are taking much longer than anticipated so I wanted to give you something to watch while you wait. This video is a little bit different than what I usually put out and it's a long one but it's also a great interrogation and it shows what can happen when a detective takes their job seriously. Share your thoughts below.

My friend met a girl and we all hung out one day. she constantly asked us how we made money. She ended up running out of our house in the middle of the night and claimed rape. She had the hospital do a rape kit on her. She had done this before and the detective and cops came, blocked off our street, and raided our house. The detective said he didn’t believe her but they had to do their job! She called me the next day and told me that he could make this all go away for $25k. This ended up costing my friend $5k for a lawyer and $5k for a lie detector test. The girl didn’t get in trouble at all over what she had done. Our local bars banned her because they knew she had been preying on wealthy locals. Guys need to be very careful who they take home!!

Immediately everyone who believed her apologised, most of us knew not to take it too seriously in the first place as the guy wouldn't harm a fly. But the damage it can do to their mental health, if even one person believes it. Even if nobody does, it can make you second guess anything in the future in case it happens again, even second guessing yourself, what if you really did do something bad and didn't realise it? I absolutely believe that if a false accusation is proven false, it should be prosecuted. The trouble there is what constitutes a false accusation, as many people making genuine accusations grow cold feet or are intimidated or bullied into withdrawing their statements.

But it’s true people, for the most part, tend to listen to women a lot more than men in these situations. This investigation is how they should all go, an actual investigation.

This is why you don't automatically believe what you are told.. I'm a 58 yr old woman and have known a few girls or women who lie. I knew a married friend of mine who would get bored and want to sleep with someone else, one time her target was a coworker of ours who knew she was married and wasn't going for it so she uped her game and told him she was being abused so he'd feel sorry for her and he'd let her stay at his house and of course they ended up sleeping together. How many girls have you known, usually young girls who lie about being pregnant to get the guy to stay but conveniently have a miscarriage so they don't have to prove it..
Women who cheat, get caught then cry rape, it happens more than anyone likes to admit.
I'm a DV survivor but I know not every claim made is true.
Supposedly innocent til proven guilty. Maybe claims need to be better investigated before people's reputations are ruined or careers lost.
Maybe if proven people who make false claims need to be prosecuted too.
Also any abuse victim watching this knows she's lieing bc we, victims, don't talk like she is. We are ashamed and humiliated we don't talk loud and act like her.

Filing a false police report is a crime, but I looked it up and I'm shocked at how light the sentencing is. I agree with you and I think the punishment should be dealt on a case by case basis. Since there are such a wide range of scenarios someone could potentially think up to file a false charge I feel that the punishment for those lying to officers should be equivalent to the sentencing their victims false charge would have the falsely accused facing. If the punishment should fit the crime, it would only make sense. A false report is a class b misdemeanor, up to 6 months and maybe a fine no more than $1,000. Feels like that wouldn't feel like justice to someone who was staring down the barrel of 25 years and a felony record, or worse, for a crime they didn't commit. Not to mention the fact that they're publicly slandered well before any trial takes place. And even those who aren't falsely convicted in these situations, that arrest record is still public information.

It’s messed up she didn’t have consequences. If she had been successful in tricking the authorities, this poor man would be trapped in a jail cell, kept away from his baby - and knowing this selfish psycho is raising his child. He’d be getting punished and doing time and have his reputation completely destroyed for literally no reason, and there would be no one to believe him.
There should be consequences for false accusations so that other people see them happen and may then think twice about doing it themselves because they know they WILL get slapped with jail time/fines if they decide to take the risk and create an elaborate, damaging lie about someone else.
Like this, the worst thing that can happen is the lying accuser gets embarrassed when the truth comes out. Definitely not an adequate consequence for trying to ruin someone’s life and taking their child and freedom from them.

As a victim myself, this moment (and several more like it come afterward) stuck out to me: The rambling after the initial “story”, mostly about how she’s so lonely, a single mom, trying to be happy with her life, and he’s out partying… very telling. It wasn’t focused on the aftermath of what happened, it was very focused on how much she deserves even more sympathy.
When I had been assaulted, my brain wasn’t focused on “poor me and my sympathy-deserving life”. It was shock. I knew I was a victim of the assault. Even in the most abstract thoughts, of “what led us here”, not a sliver of my being focused on anything as light, general, and abstract as my poor, lonely “lot in life”.

THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! Men are victims bc when they get abused by a female, the police don't take them seriously or they feel shame for admitting a woman is abusing them. My ex did the same thing to me. We were married for 11 years and never had any major problems, had the police called, and I never touched her. But, during our divorce she lied and said I hit her in front of our daughter. It was insane what happened next. I got arrested, wasn't able to see my daughter, and life destroyed. Long story short, they interviewed my daughter 100 times and she even told the judge that "my dad never touched my mom. She slapped him a few times and he would leave for a walk and come back later". They had zero proof, no marks, scratches, police reports, or history. Luckily, all charges were dropped and I was able to get 50% custody of our daughter. Even though those 3/4 months were hell, what hurt worse is knowing that this person I loved, married and had a daughter with could do something so evil. What's also crazy is how male detectives/police love to play Superman and treat you like absolute garbage. The judge scolded my ex at our court hearing and said "I see this all the time, your feelings are hurt and in return you try to destroy your daughter fathers life". I finally understood the old saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
