Change the title. It's not "for" an addiction it's "because of". An addiction is a disease just like cancer is and it works in the same way. When you're in recovery that's the same as when you're in remission from cancer. Cancer can come back and that's the same as relapsing. Don't talk about subjects that you don't know anything about because you will look dumb and spread misinformation. Change the title now please thank you.

He was sober for about 6 months. He got home from rehab Oct 16, 2022. He relapsed on Nov 15, 2022. Although he thought he was buying something different he was sold fentanyl. Sadly that was his last time. It killed him. I can't communicate through words how devastating losing him has been. He was important & his life mattered, just like anyone else's. Please stay strong & do anything you have to do to stay sober. I know it's not easy. But it shatters everyone who loves you when one moment of weakness & one bad choice ends up being your last. at least the kids of your cousin will never need a warning label for electricity generators or bottles bleach. it's a shame someone had to die, but all of our experiences in staying alive, revolve around watching other people fuckup.
most people with parents that are alive, are idiots. drink too much. drug too much. party too much. make mistakes too much. and it's all because thier antics never led to consequences and they got saved. then, when shit goes even worse, their kids, end up being your cousins kids. anybody being saved constantly by other people, is just luck. i've fallen off of roofs, out of trees, through 2 floors of an abondoned building, i've burned the shit out of my hand, i've smoked enough things to know what's smokable and what's toxic. i've burnt myself on oven doors and other stuff while cooking. i've trapped limbs between rocks and twisted my way out. i've had to catch, skin, cook and eat my own wild rabbits (or anything else caught in the snare).
this is because there was no dad and mother was the saftey blanket which made everything better. my lack of manly parenting put me in harms way.
my point is. those kids of your cousin.... likely to become the best of us. drug user dies by electricity for a quick fix.... already i'm seeing about 10 lessons from that description alone.
i also hold blame and fault for those around who did nothing to mitigate the situation. drugs addicts don't appear out of nowhere. society and thier environment are to blame, we're reactive creatures and as such, have to blame the surroundings, not the results. besides, drug addicts live a lot more than most people ever could. drug addicts travel, they talk, they meet people, they expand and try new things.... the problem is you, society, pushing them down because of this one thing that harms nobody except the user who is doing it fully aware of the consequences.

The narrator doesn't know much about criminal proceedings, though.
He said the cops wanted to charge her for not reporting a crime, which is impossible. In addition, the constitution says a spouse cannot be compelled to testify against their spouse. Narrator is 100% wrong about all of that.
The cops are trying to charge her, but not for any of the narrator's nonsense. They want her to admit to helping him try to get away with it in any way so they can charge her as a principal to murder, or accessory after the fact.
But to think that any American can be charged for not reporting a crime, especially a spouse against her husband, is laughably absurd

@@rachexl 1) mandatory reporting is only a requirement of specific jobs, not of private citizens. Since her employment was never even mentioned, you're bringing up a moot point.
Plus she is his wife, so spousal privilege still applies.
      2) spousal privilege is exactly as I started. A spouse can not be compelled to testify against a spouse. They can voluntarily testify if they so choose, but the government can not, under any circumstances, COMPEL the spouse to testify
      3) all of your examples fail on their face. It doesn't matter who was around or where they were. Spouse can't be compelled to testify. Period. If you fail to realize that you will never understand this conversation.
      4) your knowledge of criminal law is as laughably absurd as the narrator's, so your opinion on that matter is also moot.
This is criminal law. It's all written in black and white and has been interpreted by many a judge in many a courtroom. And those judge's interpretations have been scrutinized by appellate judges. And their interpretation scrutinized by other appellate judges. And it was all taken down and published in law journals. This is why it's cartoonishly naive to say "if a person has taken a life and it was really self defence they would have no reason to hide from the police." This statement clearly comes from someone with total trust in all police officers everywhere and no real life experience of what drug users experiences with cops are. First of all: he was high. He probably left the apartment with a bunch of stolen drugs which the cops would confiscate when they put him in a cell and interrogate him. No drug user is going to call the police and admit to committing a crime, especially one that's on the street and already has a criminal record. It feels like a lot of the people making these "true crime" channels are sheltered middle class people with no real street smarts or experience of what being homeless is like. Hell, if someone had tried to kill HIM he wouldn't report it to the cops. It's just not something that junkies do for reasons of self-preservation. Be real.

Like when she asked about if it was a violent murder, the curiosity is understandable if you were just told your partner committed a murder, however I can also see how if she was lying then asking a question like that could be calculated. I did find it odd how she made it very clear how he was known to lie by repeating the same story to the other detective, but she must've been aware that they were suspicious of her so I can see why she would draw importance to that fact. You really just cant know for certain.

@@THEBIGG8999 I think in this case you can be pretty certain. They asked her if he'd ever come home with blood on him and she said something like "I've never never seen him come home covered head to toe in blood, just blood all over. No, I would have remembered if he had had that much blood all over him since I'm scared of blood".
They never asked that. They just asked if he had blood on him. She volunteered information that she couldn't know unless she'd seen it.
I ultimately don't think it matters since there's a thing called 'spousal communications privilege' which is just as unbreakable as attorney-client confidentiality. I guess whoever made this video didn't know about that. She was never in any danger of being charged with 'failure to report a crime'. The only time that really gets thrown out the window is when there was conspiracy to commit a crime.

I’ve never forgotten her,and have always wondered what happened to her.
