    This video is perfect. I warped some letters, but it wouldn’t let me slice from a shape, but it did allow me to do it with the subtract. Thank you for another wonderful video.

    Hi Angie, Great tutorials always! I hoping you could assist me with cutting out a partial image. I have a butterfly that I 'Only' want the outside of the wings to cut leaving the center of the body area untouched. Allowing me to lift up on each wing for a pop up 3D affect to my card. T.I.A.

    Great video. I have a problem resizing and/or rotating images/text that I have shrunk down to very small. The corners disappear and I am unable to do Anything with the image. Unlocking it doesn’t do anything either. This occurred after all the recent updates. What am I missing ?

    • @AngieHolden

    Love your tutorials but i am at a loss. I made a design for a garden flag. Its too big to print so I usually use slice, cutting in half, print to cut then tape together to sublimate on the flag. It will not allow me to use slice so i was trying one of the other ways under combine but they are not even lit up to use except for weld, and when i choose weld, my design goes away. Any suggestions? I usually just attach everything and slice by using a square shape. Im at a loss.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Před 4 měsíci

      I would pick everything and click flatten then use a square and slice should work at that point.

    Can someone help me? I’m new to using the Cricut and I bought an SVG file off of Etsy that I want to print on a shirt. (It’s 2 colors red and black . ) I wanted to add my name to the file to match the red color . I added the name to the file in canva and I uploaded it to design space as an svg. When I go to complete the project (To the next step “ make” )the black cut on the grid looks ok but the name I put in canva for the red cut is now separated from the image and the letters are set off to the side in a random order. Can someone tell me how I can make the two red images print together and in the way I positioned them on the image? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

      Click everything and click flatten to make it one printable image.

    Hi Angie! Thank you so much for your inspiration and understandable explanations. I do have a question about making stencils with keeping the centers of certain letters from falling out. I can make the “sticks” to insert into those letters and place them in the correct position in Design Space, and it seems that I should be able to highlight those areas and hit Subtract. But I am so frustrated, having spent so much time, over a few days now. When I hit subtract, all of the word gets subtracted! I have tried attaching first, no luck…detaching, grouping, ungrouping and I am baffled. 🤬
    Do you have any advice? I am using holiday phrases from the Cricut library so I just need help. Thank you.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Před rokem

      I am thinking unite would be better for this?

    • @lindacole3942
      @lindacole3942 Před rokem

      Thank you for your response. I tried using Unite also, but that has not worked for me.
      Since my first comment, I have experimented with using my own text, trying to replicate some of the fonts, etc. Then the SUBTRACT works to remove just a sliver of the those letters so that the centers stay connected in my stencils.
      Any other thoughts, since using the Cricut library is a huge plus in creating projects, but that seems to be my issue. The Cricut Design Space Text is when I am not able to subtract that little space in the letters for my stencils.
      Thanks again.

    I'm having a problem attaching everything so it prints (so to speak) correctly on the mat, but now it all changes to the same color. I don't know how to get around this. I have a complex design (that I purchased) that was not well done. Every single piece cuts separately despite color. When I combine the colors and attach. EVERYTHING turns the same color even if I hid the other items. Is this function no longer available, or is there a different command I need to be using. I even called Cricut, but they were no help. HELP!

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Před rokem +1

      You would need to ungroup or contour out the pieces you want to change colors on. It hasn't changed.

    Thanks Angie, now those moves make a lot more sense. I think I've run into them in Inkspace or something before. I have a question, not sure if i'm going goofy or what. Wasn't there a fairly recent feature where you could type data on the screen but it didn't print or cut, just like instructions for yourself? Just tell my i'm losing it or put me out of my misery, thanks a bunch Angie! kat
