Mate your definition of pagan is wrong and I will tell you why. The word pagan is a word coined by Christians and not muslims. It is a word used to denote people who worship any other god other than Yahweh the true God of Abraham. Although islam "claims" that it worships the true God of Abraham there is not a shred of evidence. When you read the quran and the hadith - apart from the banal claim - it shows that Allah is nothing but a pagan God who was worshiped at a pagan shrine called the Kaabah with pagan rituals and customs.
Out of the 360 gods and idols worshiped in the Arabian Peninsula Mohammad chose his tribes God and made him the chief God of the Arabs. He simply changed the Arab pagans from pagan polytheism to pagan monotheism.

Do you know the difference between a statue and an idol?
A statue is not worshiped it is a piece of Art. eg the statue of St Teresa, a statue of Abraham lincoln. Yahweh the true God of Abraham allowed statues. If Allah does not allow statues and he is an iconoclast then he is not the true God of Abraham.
And idol is worshiped and given divine power eg forgive sins. eg the black stone.
