Screen-capture of a VR environment for the analysis and reproducibility of the archaeological process.
Functionality includes point-to-point distance measurement, 3- and 4-point area measurement, and a "handheld" database of archaeological documentation. Additionally, multi-user networking and VOIP (voice over IP, i.e. voice chat) allows up to 25 simultaneous users to collaborate in a real-time VR environment.
Special thanks to Jarod Saxberg for his assistance in 2019 with getting this project rolling!

Better put back the measure stick on its place, couse they will fine you heavy simeleons, for the mess.
Could you please tell us this simulation is for any visitors or it is for students? Like at pilots, they need to spend a specific hour in this VR place, so they will lesslikely ruin the ruins at the sites. Or else?
Thank you for the interesting tour. Amazing how far technology gone. And nice to see they use it for spreading and mentaining knowledge, for once.

This is meant primarily for archaeologists and students of archaeology, although it could be useful to anyone with an interest in the archaeological process. Because it uses a VR headset, the main audience is people who do not have direct access to the site of Cosa - of course, at the end of an excavation season, all of the trenches are refilled with dirt, so in reality it is impossible to "access" the excavated site, except through virtual environments like this!
