We try INDIAN public transport ($2 Local Bus KOCHI to MUNNAR INDIA)

- We try indian public transport for the first time as we say goodbye to Kochi and hello to Munnar. We priced a private transfer for €50 so we decided to take the cheaper public transport, and more interesting way to travel to Munnar, the $2 Public Bus.
The journey apporx 4 hours and to be totally honest, the public transport was perfect. It was safe, nice temperature and we got to see such stunning scenery along the way. If you are making this trip we definitely recommend Public Transport.

Hi guys 👋 Thanks so much for watching our journey from Kochi to Munnar by public bus. We really enjoyed the experience of riding the public transport here in India. If you liked this video please leave a like 👍and also please subscribe to our channel as we continue to travel through India. Have a great weekend ❤ Thanks, Samantha & Caolan x
@@adityaiyer0904 thank you 🙏
The thing about the bus you sat in was a Government KSRTC SUPER FAST Bus...which means they have to stick the schedule (also go back to their wife 🤣) therefore, they go very fast. That's why they have a nick name in Kerala called "Aanavandi" coz they run like a wild Elephant rampage 🤣 also their official insignia is an elephant.
The small van driver told to the bus driver "you have no sense or something"...then the bus driver told him "you don't know how to drive" then the ticker checker joined the bus driver and said " we are in this side of the road line, are we suppose to move or something, then he said you go and sleep that side of the road" then the small van driver used some slang against Bus driver dad ..and then the bus driver told him this is how you talk to your dad (as far as I could understand) 🥶
Very nice to see people enjoying their trip without cribbing and comparing with other countries, no two countries are the same and the moment you accept to experience it as it is you will start enjoying
@@paulson2008 😂😂But the buses don't look very clean. Yaa ?
I love riding in buses in Kerala. Especially with my father, brings back so many memories 😊
thats awesome ❤️
You feel Kochi is hectic. I’m scared for you when you reach Mumbai and Delhi 😅
We have heard this 😂
2:54 the bus u see was also going to munnar. That was a Fast Passenger (FP) bus. It goes much faster than the bus you guys boarded, which was ordinary. It also has less no of stops , so u would have reached faster . The rate would be higher (maybe 1.5 times ) wat u have paid now.
4:28 kerala buses are either handled by state dept or privately owned. The type of bus u see here is privately owned. The one u have entered is state owned. U can identify with color codes for state buses.
5:38 the seats are assigned for ladies , elders , differently abled etc. The seats on your right (first 3/4) rows are for ladies only. If u check above the window , u could see priority seating details.
14:40 the driver from van questioned bus driver . As per him he blinked and signalled bus driver to let him go and he was not allowed. As the bus driver was about to move forward, someone from the van cussed at bus driver. So bus driver stopped bus and questioned as to who was that and maybe he cussed at end too(not clear). But I think he did.

Also remember, turning on your headlight doesn't mean you have the right of way, road rules still apply unless you are in a emergency situation.

Local place
Hey guys.
I am giving you an example of how diverse India can be.
1. South - Kerela, Karnataka - Very Tropical life. Comparatively organised. Has beaches, mountains etc.
2. North - Some developed cities like Gurgaon, Noida, New Delhi etc. A chaotic mess.
3. North East - Extremely green with less concrete villages and more nature. Similarities to Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar etc.
4. Extreme North - It's snowing in few parts of Kashmir & Ladakh. Himalayan landscape. Nightsky view of Milkyway.
5. West - Rajasthan has palaces that will beat the modern day architecture. Ahmedabad is a developed city
If you visit India, you will have a lifetime experience. India is like a mini world.
So Ahmedabad is in north, but Rajasthan is in west? Ok 😂
👍🏽👌🏽
🤣🤣
@@tweetmemes5015 rajasthan is North Indian plains. No term called extreme North. It's called south Himalayas. North Himalayas is Tibet Uzbek etc. Central Himalayas is afganistan etc.

India is one of those places that I think just has to be seen to be believed! I would love to go and make some videos! Imagine when it’s over and your in a regular bus in Dublin and not feeling all that hustle and bustle! It seems so amazing
Absolutely 👍 India definitely has that “see it to believe it” kinda vibe. I don’t think we’ll see another country like it to be honest ♥️
@@GoTimeTravels I don’t think there is anywhere else like it on earth! Seems amazing! You make me wanna use my GoPro more for videos but I have a hero 7 so doesn’t look as nice as this! Brilliant video as always can’t wait for the next one
@@DanUnplanned Thanks sir.... Welcome to India 🇮🇳🇮🇳.... I would recommend you to plan atleast for 1 or 2 months here to visit at least 30-40% of india.... In that i would recommend u to go to ladakh, Jammu & kashmir.. Uttarakhand, Himachal ... In the North... If you love mountains.. And quiet place that would be best place for you.. Visit southern India.. Karnataka, Kerala.... To see our ancient architecture, Kerala for boat ride, stay in boat house..... Especially I would recommend u to visit Northeast I know transportation there is not so good.. But if you go there. . You will feel heavenly... Tea garden in assam, Manipur for lakes(lakes there are so clean you can see deep down till the river bed) , meghalaya for rain lovers..(highest rainfall in India).... Just don't pay any attention to Propaganda of western India.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏welcome

Thanks for the video and being to Kerala. Off course you will receive great hospitality there❤
Nice video, glad that you promote travel like the locals. It is safe and comfortable enough. Wanted to warn you guys not to let your hand hang out of the window - I personally know a person whose arm got chopped off by another bus doing that! Be careful....safe travels
You travelled in the KSRTC bus. It's fully owned by the Govt of Kerala. So you got a wonderful experience. ....😁😁😁
I started to watch today and I finished all videos from enter to the India… nice presentation !! I hope you will be enjoyed lot….❤
Bus and trains journeys are the most exciting and amazing in India as scenery is always changing every few yards unlike in Europe where it's all the same everywhere you go 😊

A word of caution. Never put your hand out of the window. Especially if you are on the right side. Vehicles from the opposite end could hit you. And it has happened sometimes, were people have lost their arms due to that
Great video guys. Cheers from Abu Dhabi UAE vloggers. I belong to Kerala, Indian but I live here now. Just randomly came over to see your vlogs. You got a new subscriber here mate ! What was happening on the road rage was this as below.
The bus driver says that its a heavy passenger vehicle hence the van needs to reverse and give way, but the van driver was arguing with the Global road standard saying that the van was climbing uphill hence he needs the priority of way.
Wow can't wait for the next video🙏🙏🙏
We're loving your videos, especially now that you're in India! We'll be headed there later this year too.
Funnily enough, I did Kochi to Munnar in reverse in 2004! (otherwise known as Munnar to Kochi)

The bus driver basically told the other guy “ If you want to abuse, go abuse your dad at home “ 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah it was the other guys fault, cos you give way to the vehicles coming uphill..

THANK YOU for your India vlogs! They have been sooo helpful as I plan my trip to India next year. How did you know where to catch the bus to Munnar? I've been trying to figure it out and you're one of the first vlogs that has shown it to be this easy. :)
You can use Google maps to get buses and routes. You can also ask for KSRTC Bus Stand.
Always remember; in India things may not go according to plan. So, you need to believe in fate when you come over :)
It just beginning... There is a long way to go.... Different tastes, cultures, languages and people.... Enjoy Time...!

Super guys, appreciate ♥️💚👏
Kolukkumalai is not a familiar name, even to those who have toured Munnar before.
If you are a fan of nature, this is one of those heavens you are looking for. No need to think twice to include it among the charming locations of the planet.
About 7130 ft from sea level, Kolukkumali is the highest organic tea farm in the world. The tea factory is old, still keeps machinery from the British rule times and is mostly a showpiece for visitors.
Factory staff takes you around, shows the machinery and explains the process of making organic tea.
Sip a cuppa. Well deserved after the bone shaking ride.
The tea factory has an entry fee.
Seeing sun rise from Kolukkumalai is quite an experience. You will have to arrange the jeep and the driver early. If you are staying at Munnar, have to start by 4 A.M. The journey takes 2 hours roughly.
Another plus is the clear view of the valleys in morning sparkle. Clouds set in later on.
Have a flask with some hot drinks and some snacks / food. Thought of having a memorable breakfast at the summit? Bear in mind that the factory opens only at 10 A.M.
If the weather is bad, the mornings are going to be misty. So sun rise tours are not a good choice during rainy season.
😍😍😍
There's a reason why I don't personally get into a public bus and would rather ride on a car. I just get altitude sickness or dizziness and the honking and the movement of the bus just adds to it. This is just me lol 😅
Thank you..visit again..😊
Superb..Enjoy

@@GoTimeTravels guys I'm not sure if it's already on your itinerary but check out "Kolukkumalai" if you can.
It's so picturesque and I believe it's one of the highest peaks in South India. It's maybe 2 hours from Anachal.
Buses are ultimate and fun in KERALA.. GOOD Speed and GOD Speed.... Munnar 2.5 hours from POLLACHI Town.. You can travel to BRITS OOTY , Kodaikanal from Munnar...
Every part of India is so different in terms of food, people, religion, culture and traditions that one year is less to explore it. Every state is different because it has so much diversity. No one country has so much diversity in vegetation and climate as India have. Hence India has so much to explore and discover. Enjoy your life and journey. With lots of love and respect 🇮🇳🙏

The private vehicle came from the wrong side. Your bus driver said that was wrong. This statement came into an argument. The private vehicle's driver replied that he had turned on the indicators. But that was not right. Your bus' conductor told them "should we go backwards by seeing your signal?" Suddenly the opponent misbehaved and said some bad words. That's the reason for the small dispute.
What misses in the KSRTC is the songs which played in Private buses

Inside every KSRTC bus you can see 2 instructions in Malayalam language,
1, don't put your hands outside the window (it's not safe)
2, don't smoke
The mini bus driver said he put the pass light or blinked head lamp it means give way, and ur driver said ur bus is climbing the hill, no chance to take reverse, u r the one should take reverse.

So basically the bus driver is like " You brat, can't you see me climbing up the steep. Don't you have common sense. You are a driver yourself'.
The mini bus driver says something like he was already half way down and the bus came up.
Then the Bus driver says 'What half way....' & Bus conductor ques into the scene and shouts 'Should we move back just because you came in flashing lights? You stay there(sarcasm ...probably). You had to turn back didn't you..... '
The bus moves forward and apparently, the Bus driver hear some curse words from outside. He put on the brakes and turns off the bus to confront the mini bus owner. Standing inside the cabin he shouts 'Who is the one cursing? I know how to curse better than you about your father sitting at home (bast***d or something -- kind of warning)......'.
Well, this is the whole conversation. Its very common to see something like this. Like all the 'audience' in the bus do one thing : IGNORE!
Don't let it bother the journey. Looking forward to the next vlog
