When you mentioned Crash Landing on You, I think you meant Son Ye Ji, and yes she looks quite like Jisoo, and funny thing is, Jisoo just been in her first kdrama as the female lead actress. Its called Snowdrop, and they say that Jisoo and her co-actor Hae-in is the mini Crash Landing on You couple.
Jisoo (one of the members) is the only one that’s been in a Korean drama and it’s called “Snowdrop”
For future reference, when people say ”Main” and ”Lead” it means first and second. The person who is ”Main Vocalist” is the best singer in the group. There can be several Lead Vocalists aswell, since they’re a step below Main. This is for all positions, vocal, rap and dance.

Agree with the production. I always trust YG producers when it comes to autotunes as effects and not as main tool for polishing their songs. Plus you had your headphones on - a must on every YG produced song due to quality.
The actress in "crash landing on you" isn't a member of blackpink. But Jisoo, a member of blackpink, is in a different kdrama called "snowdrop" sadly, its not on Netflix or a streaming service in America that I'm aware of, but it is really good.
Lisa the girl who did that rap that started with "your girl need it all and that's a hundred" is actually from thailand, but she speaks fluent korean and english. She is the main dancer and lead rapper of blackpink. She is the youngest out of blackpink which is called the "maknae" (mack-nay) in korean, and she is 24 years old.
Jennie, the girl who started the song with "I crumbled before your eyes" was born in south Korea, then she moved to new zeland when she was about 10 years old, so she is fluent in English as well as korean. She is the main rapper and lead vocalist of blackpink
Jisoo, who sang right after jennie in the beginning of the song who sang "to grab onto the last bit of hope" is fully born and raised in Korea, and her english is okay, but not as good as the other members. She is the lead vocalist and visual of blackpink, and she is also the oldest out of the members, at 27 years old.
Rosé is the one with the silver-blueish hair color, and also the one who stood in front of the black wings in the MV, She was born in new zeland, and raised in austraila, before she went to south Korea to audition for YG entertainment, (the entertainment company that manages blackpink) She is of course, fluent in both English and korean. She is the main vocalist and lead dancer of blackpink.

lol "How You Like That" is definitely huge but to say "this is i believe one of their biggest ones" isn't actually accurate because literally ALL their releases are huge (most of their MVs have over 1B views each) but as a mega fan of them it's sad that they don't really have a lot of songs out. Most Kpop groups depend on constant promotions to stay relevant so they release 2-3 mini albums per year but BLACKPINK just releases a few tracks once a year. BLACKPINK doesn't come back often, but when they do, it's a sure hit. And oh they're the biggest girl group in the world right now and they just beat Justin Bieber making them the #1 most subscribed musicians/artists on CZcams.

9:15 It's more the opposite. Companies were quick to use the song because they knew Blackpink was incredibly popular worldwide (and cuz the chorus and hook are so easily catchy, lol). They have multiple songs with music videos on CZcams at over a billion views, and topped streaming platforms, etc. all before the release of this song in 2020.
So yeah, I'd guess the ads and such maybe gave them only a tiny bump -- I think most people, like you guys and myself as well, heard the chorus in ads but never bothered to look up more about the song or group. I know I first heard it in a Spotify ad that played during MLB games, haha. Then months later found out about the group and have bumped their music ever since.
