- Finally she's here! The whole process of starting a cross stitch project through to the end for the fabulous Black Mermaid (just look at her sparkle! ✨). There's been a whole load of learning in this one for me and long may it continue as it was a super fun stitch.

I adore what you did with the metallics for this project, thanks for recommending Glissen Gloss, I will give it a try. I think most people loathe DMC metallics, they are pretty hard to work with in comparison to the regular cottons, but the Diamant range is a bit better if you’re in the market for gold or silver 👍
Thanks Lucy! I haven’t had the pleasure of working with DMC metallics, I might need to challenge myself one day to see the difference 🙃

I love how we all have our own rituals! Do you just work with your skeins whole?
@@Emma.bobbins I keep them in floss bags and cut as I need, whatever the length, any extra bits go bk into the bags.
This is such a neat idea for a video!! She turned out lovely! I love the small organizer boxes you use. I’ve never seen that size here in the US!
Thanks for watching Julia! The small boxes are perfect for most of my projects, I can usually squeeze a large and a small project into one. I’ll update the video description with the Amazon link to them, I’m not sure if they’re available in the US but worth a try 😊
