FINALLY!
These two were my absolute favourite ship from the show (as well as the books), so I wanted to make sure I did their video tribute justice. I kept switching songs for multiple reasons, but in the end, I'm so glad that this project was the one I landed on. It wasn't one I had on my list until after seeing the show, because it didn't fit their book story at all, but fits the on-screen story perfectly.
I can't wait until we get to see their book scenes play out.

Speak, she begged silently. Give me a reason to stay. For all his selfishness and cruelty, Kaz was still the boy who had saved her. She wanted to believe he was worth saving, too.

“A favor, from Sturmhond. He sent out scouts. As part of our deal. If it was a mistake-”
“No,” she said as the tears spilled over at last. “It was not a mistake.”
“Of course, if something had gone wrong during the job, they’d be coming to retrieve your corpse.”
Inej choked out a laugh. “Just let me have this.” She righted herself, her balance returning. Had she really thought the world didn’t change? She was a fool. The world was made of miracles, unexpected earthquakes, storms that came from nowhere and might reshape a continent. The boy beside her. The future before her. Anything was possible.
Now Inej was shaking, her hands pressed to her mouth, watching them move up the dock toward the quay. She started forward, then turned back to Kaz. “Come with me,” she said. “Come meet them.”
Kaz nodded as if steeling himself, flexed his fingers once more.
“Wait,” he said. The burn of his voice was rougher than usual. “Is my tie straight?”
Inej laughed, her hood falling back from her hair.
“That’s the laugh,” he murmured, but she was already setting off down the quay, her feet barely touching the ground.
“Mama!” she called out. “Papa!“

@@AamrahMSayed ohh, we got it :) actors expressed their feelings with their eyes perfectly in my opinion. Even if i did not read the books, i could tell that Kaz keeping his distance to her even he has feelings for her. I hope we will learn why. My favorite ship in the series

@@haticeo9346 I highly recommend reading the books too. Kaz doesn't really say things outloud, but his inner monologues about Inej are to die for. I can't even count the amount of times I squealed and shed tears while reading his thoughts about her. That's the thing that makes me sad about the show, it will never truly capture their raw feelings (especially Kaz's) because it's all mostly in his thoughts.
I love them with my whole heart😭 they are the best Inej and Kaz we could ask for 🤩

this is hands down the best kaz and inej edits I’ve watched it so many times-
Their cast was splendid. Kaz was a little more candid than I would have like to in the beginning, because he only shows feelings at the end of the books but I can live with that. And Inej, WOW, love that girl.
Necessary, though, because we don't have access to his inner monologue the way we do in the books. Freddy did an incredible job with micro-expressions, and the struggle he's trying not to show when he's unable to do something (like help Inej after she's been injured).
@@SiriuslyPotty yes! I read in another comment that the watcher must see him nice first because in the second season he's gonna be as ruthless as we know him. I can't wait!
@@barbarasusej sorry to intrude, I haven't read the books yet and so I'm curious, is Kaz more of a bad guy in the books than he appeared to be on this first season? I absolutely loved the Crows and Kaz and Inej are everything, so I'm intrigued to know more about them from the books! Unfortunately with college I have little to no time to read the books, so if you could tell me, even if vaguely, what to expect from a more ruthless Kaz I'd really appreciate it!
@@anapaulo11 everything Kaz does is very calculated and to play out an advantage for himself/his gang. He's portrayed as stone cold, ruthless, and someone who would kill you in a heartbeat if you cross him. There's this wonderful sentence in the 1st chapter, "Kaz Brekker didn't need a reason", and Inej thinks to herself that that's wrong, because there's a reason to everything he does.
So placing him on the hero/villain spectrum is kinda hard for me, I'd say anti-hero maybe?
Edit: as an example, there's this cool scene where he straight-up rips somebody's eye out and then throws them into the water because they hurt Inej.
@@anapaulo11 Yes, in the books Inej isn't even sure she is his friend because he is cold and all of them are working for him, he uses everyone to accomplish his goals but he's fair and actually care for them, BUT he's a monster with his enemies and doesn't give second chances, he kills and is really ambitious. His backstory is really heartbreaking and it explains why he is like that.

To me they are THE ship, my absolute favorite characters and my absolute favorite couple. They're just... so precious. Maybe because I was already reading Six of Crows when the tv series happened (no spoilers because I haven't finished the book yet), but I feel so attached to them and I find them so unbelievably adorable together.
