I can't believe as a contractor the people whom installed the AC line set didn't seal off the hole at both the top of the line entering the house and the bottom of the set. At minimum All they had to do was use "The Great Stuff- Big Gap Filler" and then when it's dried you just cut it smooth at the bottom of the AC line so it looks like a bottom panel and paint it to match. When I build a house, add an addition, do a remodel or even a repair, I NEVER leave entry points for animals to get in and we have field nice and squirrels that burrow in attic and walls!
surprised they installed a channel at all, around here they just run it up the side of the wall and don't seem to care how it looks haha.
Hello guys. I recently had a rat and mouse infestation. I battled them for months. I don't live in your service area. But I watch your videos. I had a rodent service come out to perform exclusion. I tried to get the places they missed. I missed some too. I nest, hired a handy man and we followed your recommendations. Vents on the roof were covered with wire mesh. Pipes coming into the crawl space were sealed. Attic had insulation removed and any holes were dealt with. Traps were placed in both the attic and the crawl space. After two weeks of trapping, The attic insulation was replaced along with wires whose insulation was eaten away. It has been about 7 months with NO rats or mice. I think you saved my house from catching fire. THANK YOU
I live in the country and yesterday morning I opened my car hood to check the oil and there was a big brown rat sitting on my motor. Those things can go anywhere.
Place some cotton balls under the hood and sprinkle peppermint oil. That worked for me.
Did you ask if he changed the oil recently?

I’m not sure if laws changed in every state, but in California we have to rodent proof those linesets now. I thought it was a bit unnecessary but watching this made me realize that it’s not
Always keep steel wool on the truck or that inspection is gonna fail haha
Vinyl siding, corners especially, are easy entry points, mice, rats, etc.

Most modern car wiring is coated in Soy or other plant based that's why they eat it because its edible
I immediately screwed in a metal mesh cover on my duct opening to prevent entry after my neighbor’s attic was infested after rats gained entry through that opening .
How are rats getting into my attic? I dont know maybe look at the giant bridge going up there haha.

Not necessarily. The two cats I adopted to take care of the situation were too afraid. I took their asses right back to the shelter after 5 months!

Question! I got mice in my apartment ground floor. I found one January 22, the cat found it I killed it. The second I found feb 28 ran into a sticky trap. No signs of droppings tho? Do I have a problem or does the whole building?

The first one I killed with a spatula, the second one he was still alive in the sticky trap I ended him with a spatula

they lift roof vents,like corners of home's one has to admire them.. just look for greasy dirty areas..
Usually what I do is use a plastic bottle, by cutting the bottom off, after usage, I just throw it up
