Random idea I had the other day. For more information on VHS vs Betamax, see the excellent video by Technology Connections: • Why Sony's Beta Videot...
Why in the world are we talking about vcrs and video tape? That's so gay. Tapes were terrible, after watching a tape you had to rewind the damn tape which took forever! Everybody streams movies and music now right?........RIGHT?
Thanks for the info. When I get the courage to make this happen, I will try to get back to you with my results. The Betamax I purchased not knowing this was not a VHS, I remembered changing cassettes on VHS to VHS. The nice lady at church left our VHS in her car and melted it beyond working. That change-up was successful. Here's to a new adventure of putting a Beta max into A V.H.S. The movie was made in America back in the 70s. And so I'm slightly apprehensive of any problems. 🤞🤞
In the last century, I wound a tape from VHS tapes on BETA, but not for this experiment, but because cheap, unused VHS tapes were the same size as BETA and it was possible to record film on them. Beta tapes were few in stores, so it was necessary to use VHS tapes. It was necessary to stick the guide tapes so that the VCR could stop at the beginning and end.
It is funny experiment. But the result was clear in the beginning. You can not exchange recordings between any video format. Tape speed, track wideness and recording frequencies are different.

First you are being homophobic, second because thats his channel

Tapes > thin air

No, you can't play an 8-track tape cartridge in a VHS player, either.
but you can technically play a 8 audio track on a cassette player

Love the video!
I already done this back when i was a teenager and it did not work back then .
That referee/umpire, though. That call the referee/umpire made was good/bad, wasn't it?
but you can record on it
do and try
Can we play a vhs tape in a betamax vcr pls tell
why not record to it and see if it works then?
Im gonna try this
Can you record on the tape etc?
YEs you can
Just used a multi system vhs player to play betamax pal to ntsc
yeah i did that, but have to transfer the Betamax tape to a VHS case
Derp.
So what do we do if no picture ?
That's the point of the video... it doesn't work. Don't try it at home unless you're fine with breaking things for no actual benefit
You have 11 subscribers after a video like this?! What's wrong with CZcams?
What About Vice Versa? Can Normal VHS Tape Be Played In Betacam VCR?
