I just love this- jazz/pop/rock fusion. All the instrumentation and vocals are perfect. Akane- just fantastic. Kanami does a lot of composing on the piano.

I love Band-Maid's "Start Over" because I'm into great writing, playing and well-constructed songs. But the jewelry store ad MV... not so much. Songs like Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile can help them more than most of their catalog to become more approachable and widely accepted by the general public.
However, I'm afraid the kind of songs I love from Band-Maid, The Warning, Lovebites, and Jinjer will remain a tiny, tiny niche like a sea slug in the ocean of teaming pop life. BTW - Start Over sounded awesome in their online live OOJ Concert. It's actually, "Be born again" but yeah a lot of us heard what you did 😂 To me the imperfect English is part of their charm and lore - "Breaking new gate" is a byword for fans despite/ because being "bad English." A major aim in writing lyrics is sayng something in a new way that's memorable, and if it just happens because the writer is working in a language foreign to them, it works just as well.
