Another Brilliant video Sid. What a great day over 50 hammered in total loads of roman bronze and silver coins roman artefacts 4 medieval rings a silver posy ring and a potential really rare saxon find!!. plus over £3,000 raised for the Fluency Trust . So a great day had all round. always to see you and Phil.

my dad could of told you right away what it was. he was a saxon numinist with extraordinary knowledge. he worked as a consultant with the british museum on saxon and late roman coin finds during the mid 70's til the mid 80's... alas, he is now down there with the coins. bless my dad with his eye-magnifer, and bless you guys for your persistance in digging up the past

i recon the rain turned the hunt around.... the finds were few and far between at the start but after the big down pour the fields came to life.... finds everywhere

I was there Sid saw you but left you in peace if I'd known you would have been there I would have brought that diving gear for you, never mind next time, I had a day on the roman with Hadrian Silver Denarius being the best find also had a 1920 sixpence same place as you and a 1912 3d just feet away. Got very wet and muddy but great day, good video as always mate.

@@englandshistory i am in America only one i have ever found was in the Bahamas in 1988 .. its a 1714 shipwreck coin from Spain
@@morriscat11 this isn't a cob.. it's much rarer.. it's a saxon coin dye from around 800AD.. nearly 1000 years older... a test piece to check if the dye is good enough to strike hammered coins... well thats my guess anyways... stunner
