Eps 184 Sailing Etanche. Epiphany in Kalamata. Sightseeing the City and some jobs

A taste of the culture in Greece. In Kalamata, 6th January is Epiphany. We visiting the beautiful church in Kalamata and of course we have some jobs to do.

Love it. Never did get there. Your water heater did well. When we took our boat out to Greece our water heater was almost twenty years old and we had to replace it within 18 months of arriving. However, the replacement only lasted three seasons before it too had to be replaced. A local surveyor, (a Brit. based in Lefkas Marina who we knew well.) told us this was par for the course as they furred up very quickly there due to the hardness/softness of the local water.

Correct Brian. The water can be terrible in the Med. We changed the O-ring when it was only 2 years old. So, a little bit of luck you have to have. That in mind...not bad after 13 years. Kalamata is a nice city, the marina is so so. Now , there's a new owner. I hope it will be better here. Cu🫡

We were alongside near that ceremony. Just by the Jumbo store. Cleaning out our boiler in a few weeks. Hope its OK inside... Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid. xxx

Did you swim for the cross too?🤔. Yeah the boiler. You can never tell. 2 years old, changed the o-Ring. Now 13 years old. I can live with that one. 🤗
