yes i found at the Zellers at StThomas (Elgin Mall everthing there was expensive :( my aunt susan worked for 3 years there( now Giant Tiger and Dollarama ) :)
Zellers was awesome. I remember the one at Fairview Shopping Center in Montreal. I have one bad memory though: One Saturday morning me, my brother and dad went to Zellers and witnessed a janitor cleaning window and fall over into the glass smashing it. He had bits of glass in his eyes Horrible to see as a six year old.
Zellers 'rocked' in its day. A truly Canadian establishment. That store had lots of great stuff as long as it was in availability. Yes, you could find most of the popular products, clothes and everything else at Zellers. There was a certain respect for Zellers stores in that they had the goods you were looking for, even if you were a working or a retired Canadian. It was a store-of-choice back-in-the-day.
I loved Zellers(especially the Christmas ads). I used to watch the commercials with my Niece & Nephews, getting them amped up for Christmas and hoping to take them to see Zeddy at Zellers Toyland. Time moved on & they grew up. I never fulfilled that promise to them(I regret that), but I didn't break that same promise to my Son when He was young. We went several times to Zellers when we went over to Canada for Vacation(we even went to say goodbye to our Friends that worked there during their last week before closing). I got Him a Zeddy Bear & a few plastic bags for memories. Zellers was always a special place for me growing up. I always wanted to go there and I wanted the Kids to have those sentiments.🙂

This video is one never ending zellers commercial I remember at towers everything connects The last day of one sale is the first of the next I think zellers went te same route k mart and towars Bankrupt or brokesville sure at towers everything did Connect all the way to bankruptcy lol 😂 There used to be a towers at saint Lawrence village Right next to that shipping plaza right next to the apartments but that was back in 1972 before Towers went bankrupt towers had a cafeteria just like zellers I'll bet zellers is gone too like Kmart and towers The same thing happened in Canada that happened in America on line shopping put a large amount of shopping malls out if business there is still sawgrass Mills Mall here in Florida I saw the death of te Hollywood fashion center i think though that was due to the murder of Adam Walsh it saw their demise Now it's just an empty building sad but true I found out that county fair mall in fort Erie is now a hospital i love county fair mall you had a supermarket The great A&P and then you could kill time shopping In Zellers and eat in the cafeteria and you could go see a Movie at the garrison cinema there we saw Murder on the orient express with Albert Finney We saw young Frankenstein there nasty habits With Glenda Jackson the last Ovie i saw there was Young Frankenstein in1975 at garrison cinema

I remember being a little kid in the 90's when our local Kmart got converted into a Zellers.
Stores don't "beat" prices nowadays. They match them, if they even do that.
Good news! Zellers is coming back either this year or next to 27 locations Canada wide. 9 of them in Ontario alone.
