Dave is the definition of a perfectionist. Reminds me a lot of Kanye and Frank Ocean who care more about the quality of their albums than the quantity of the music they produce and I personally think this really pays off, it’s an album I’ll never get tired of like psychodrama. Beyond that the level of his storytelling lyricism and wordplay and how he paints pictures in your mind and the emotional connection you get with each song… he’s my favourite artist in the UK. We may have to wait 2 years for another album but with Dave it’s always worth the wait.

I thought this album would be bad just gassed up because it’s Dave but fuck man I think this album is better than phycodrama and I was going through a mental warfare within myself that album made me realise that I’m not alone and showed me I needed help which I did get and I’m glad I did

"F*** a gun charge, 2 swords I'm a Ronin. Błaszczykowski, I'm tryna score with the Polish" is the best bar on this album. Dave is referring to how Błaszczykowski witnessed his father stab his mum to death at a young age, hence it isn't a gun charge.
A Ronin is a samurai (who often carries two swords) with no master, Dave uses this to say how he grew up without 1 parent just like Błaszczykowski.
The word "score" means that he shot drugs with the Polish, as there is also a high population of Polish people in the Streatham area, where he grew up (me being one of them lol)

Someone who takes time to both hear every lyric and explain every word. Someone who understands the complimentary duality of beat and bar. This is the level of analysis that dave deserves and the people need. Album and reaction are both a masterpiece. Dave out here changing the scene.
The amount of respect and hope Dave must have for Meeks has to be massive, to put him on a tune with 3 of the UK’s greats and himself you don’t just do that if you don’t have confidence for an newer artist.

Top marks for this album, something for everyone. Bars, features, party tunes, storytelling, protest. Dave,,, is,,, the,,, man. This is surely the golden era of UK hip hop, so many great albums in the past year.
Three Rivers...fucking hell man that song had me in tears when dave was speaking about eastern european countries in the 90s. I’m an albanian from Kosovo and my people still suffer to this day. So glad that that there are people that know what happened back then.
Survivor’s guilt... I feel sorry for Dave having to be in a situation like that with his girl, i’m just going to clear up for all the mandem that don’t know why it’s like that with albanians: Most of the first-generation immigrants from Albania and Kosovo are still in trauma from what happened and they refuse to let anyone outside their culture marry their children, as they only trust their own people due to severe betrayal back in the 90’s (yugoslavia war). This always got passed down generations but its slowly going away as more albanians are immigrating into other countries. big up Lee!!

As a non-brit (hell, as a non-english native speaker even) some of the meaning in Dave's lyrics is inevitably lost on me from time to time, but you just pick through every bar with incredible detail and attention, and it helps me grasp the full meaning of every riddim. Three Rivers is definitely the top track for me, Reminds me of question time and hangman. To me it’s Dave at his peak, wordplay, flow, Hard beat and most importantly speaking from experience and the heart. Relatable to a lot of people and is an issue that needs to be spoken about more.

This bar is absolutely outrageous and I hope it doesn’t go over peoples head. If you don’t know what an onomatopoeia is it’s something that resembles/suggests the sound that it describes. It may not be the hardest bar in the album, but his delivery and thought process behind what he writes is second to none.

Dave has been consistently top 5 in the uk scene since the very start of his career. Maybe not in views or money, but the amount of respect his fans have for him, the realness of almost everything he says, he’s an amazing artist who allows himself to show everyone who’s struggling or has struggled that it can be better when you follow your dreams. I’d go as far to say he could be the future of the uk scene for years to come. Very special album from a very special artist.

You can't reach the conclusion that he was referring to Pascal simply because he mentioned art a d pressure without reaching for that.
