been using the MX3 since it got out. I'm a heavy PC user: Excel development, BI, present data in PPoint, some content creation when not working and... oh, it makes it a pleasure to work! Main things I think can still be improved: - mag wheel: please, if mechanically possible, enable left/right push; that was great in the previous logitech mouse I had! - gesture button: I feel it requires too much pressure which becomes even worse when you consider it's a modifier key supposed to accompany another action. One user below had requested to have it as a button under the 2 buttons on left side; that makes sense to me. If you want to prevent accidental actioning, you can make the button a bit stiffer: pushing it would still be much easier as it would correspond, from natural standby position, to squeezing it rather than applying top down pressure (which also increases friction when moving) - horizontal wheel: any chance you can make it clickable too? :) - partner with app vendors to include more customizations and possibly APIs. For example there very little for outlook (like "prev/next" item), nothing for DAWs (steinbeirg, cakewalk, FL, etc.); of course it's not profitable for you to add niche products: let others do that for free! ;) but I'd gladly give up all these changes for a single one: make it simple to open it and remove the electronics: I want to be able to wash all the plastics to keep it clean which is something I suppose many users want to do as this product is meant to last years (and its price point reflects it)

Thank you for pointing out that the left/right tilt is no longer a feature. I have been using Logitech mice for years, my latest being an Anywhere 2S. I wanted to upgrade to an Anywhere 3, which also has the new scroll wheel, but noticed that there are not as many programmable buttons (5 for the Anywhere 2S, 4 for the Anywhere 3.) Now I know why--I can't program the left/right tilt functions because there is no left/right tilt.

Hi, this is exactly what was needed, as I have the MX Master 3 and I have to say this is simply the best Mouse I have ever used for design and general screen work. The functions are efficient, responsive and a time saver. The mouse Hyper-Scroll wheel, i laugh out loud at times because I have never seen lines and and pages scroll so fast on my 40" screen, in fact when I read the 1000 lines per second, I actually thought it was exaggerated, but it really does work that fast, great for getting back to the top of a long webpage from the bottom, it's like having the speed of light on yr screen. So, I'm trying to wrap my head around this Application-Specific buttons for my MX Master which I've used for years. This video shows you applying a brush size variable to a scroll action. However you have not shown exactly HOW this action is applied to that button/scroll. When I have Photoshop picked as my application, I do not see any of my Photoshop tools as options. WHERE are the application specific tools in your set-up panel? Thank you

Put the thumb button on the side (below back forth buttons) and then have the thumb scroll swap places with the back forth buttons. this should be mx master 4. You can also make the thumb scroll have magnetic feedback like the main scroll. Thank you. Also consider making a palm rest attachment, and touch surface like magic mouse on the left right click.
Also, you could add the option for touch sensors on the back forth for instance: swipe up and down softly on the back forth button, as if it is the scroll button.

Is it possible to invert the thumbscroll wheel when CMD is held In my program, thumb scrolls the timeline. Cmd + thumb, is zoom but I want to invert the scroll for this only. Can we implement a feature in the logi app for the thumb scroll? "invert thumb scroll when key is held" This way, the scroll of timeline and zoom will be to my liking

I am a developer and I would not mind "installing additional software" to have gesture support on Linux. As long as the software is optional, the argument makes no sense at all. It's a shame that it isn't available on Linux.
What the . . . I must have been living in the dark ages. I have three computers on a glass Desk, using three blind mice and three keyboards. Also have a usb microscope, a pluggable hard drive a focusrite mic preamp, 2 27" monitors and a 43" monitor, and an Ableton Push Pad. No room for my Novation keyboard, until . . . my best friend Jean showed up on YOURTUBE. This thing is incredible, and yes I'm in love with this thing as if it were a Russian bride. I'm getting my visa together to go straight to Switzerland to pick one up, COVID-19 or not.

Even without horizontal scroll, I love using my 4-year old Mx Master 3 mouse. I’ve paired it successfully on Android, ChromeOS, MacOS, and most recently and often on my iPad Mini 6th gen (even still on iPadOS 17.5.1). Online, I see Logitech in 2024 supports the more silent 3s which has a higher DPI. I have no desire for AI prompt builder. I don’t travel carry my mouse, so quieting doesn’t matter. Since Apple is enabling more external keyboard functions (switch on inside accessibility), I hoped there would be same general and customizable choices for mice.
I have a mx keys and a mx master 2 mouse which I use on 3 separate devices. Two of those devices share the same screen so Logitech Flow is not the best option for me. Is there a way to make the mouse change device when I change the device on the keyboard? Right now I have to do it separately which is tedious when switching the amount that I do.
I was impressed with the advertisement and I ordered MX Master 3. It is good but it is not working with iTerm2. When the iTerm2 is opened, you can't scroll/gesture with MX Master 3 Mice. As a developer most of my day will be on iTerm2 and vscode. Its shame the mouse is not working with specific apps. I raised a case with Logitech support but no reply yet. I am planning to return back.
Why the occlusion of macros for each button like the Logitech G series? AutoCAD programs require multiple keyboard inputs for a single command. Setting up those macros in AutoCAD adds one more unneeded step when I can simply add a macro to a button on my G305, for instance.

Almost my dream office/productivity mouse; Logitech, I cannot give up side-tilt buttons on the main wheel. If tilting is not possible on this new MagSpeed wheel I would be happy with actual button on each side of the wheel.

I can't wait to receive mine in 2 weeks! Due to my needs, I also ordered a K600 for my TV and my laptop that I use as a media center with the TV but I have the MX keys Keyboard on my list too for next month because I work on both, Windows and Mac and it's a perfect match for work with the Master 3. I hate Apple 's Magic mouse. It's nice if you don't use it a lot but for heavy use, it's a nightmare (specially for people who keep their nails short). Everytime I come back from the restroom, it's difficut to use it because my hands are humide after handwashing so the Master 3 will be a welcomed change. I can't wait to try it all.

I had the same question. Further down I found a reply that helped. He is using a mac in the video so the sesttings are different. If you change the function of the screenshot key to "Keystroke assignment" and press "Win + Shift + s" as the assignment it will allow you to clip specific areas. Same as if you just push win + shift + s on your keyboard.

I also have a 2nd question! On my mx keys, the pause/break, scroll lock and printscrn buttons have (sadly?) been REPLACED with the "connect to another device" buttons, I suppose I should call it Logitech Flow. I really really like using pause/break in my workflow but sadly windows does not detect any key input when I press the flow buttons so I can't remap the "flow 3" button to pause/break button. I expected to be able to do this because I figured a product made for professionals like this would boast customizability but sadly what I found out so far is that all the customizability is through logitech options which I could configure on any keyboard with a script with autohotkey or something. Could you guys please tell me how I can remap the flow buttons to actual keyboard presses or please please please implement it in the software so I can use my workflow the way i want it? You guys talk about programming, but ctrl + break is used in Visual Studio to stop a build and I can't use this setup anymore now.
Hello, The 3 buttons you referred to are profile buttons and can be used to connect the keyboard to 3 different devices. However, you can customize specific buttons on the keyboard with keystroke assignments to achieve functions such as Pause/Break (Fn+B). You need to develop a function that allows switching between Bluetooth channels for the mouse via the keyboard. Every time you have to flip the mouse over just to change the channel.
For some reason, the gesture commands do not work on my Macbook Pro. The gesture button works but when I try scrolling to the left or right whole holding it nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how have you fixed it?

Hello, thanks for the video. At first, the "application specific settings" sounded very nice and I was interested. However, as soon as I started using, I figured out that the settings it proposes aren't and can't be specific to different applications since the same options are proposed for all. For example, for Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop) that I use the most, one needs to Alt+scroll to zoom in and out. Let's say in the application specific settings, I set some buttons as "Zoom in" and "Zoom out" as it proposes. However, it won't do what I assigned on those applications because zooming doesn't work the same on desktop and on those applications. Do you happen to know a way to fix this problem? Or should I just admit that "application specific settings" aren't very specific and aren't very useful for me?
@@xavierc7497 if the program uses a certain key for zoom, you can assign your mouse button as that key instead of choosing some "Zoom" function in your mouse software. That said, I don't have this mouse so I can offer no further help.
This mouse is worthless because of the software. The settings are horrible for Adobe programs. I used to be able to pan in Illustrator and the software crashed and lost the ability to pan.

Unfortunately, we do not have any software or flow function to support on Linux for now and we will not be able to comment on the future launches at this moment. I love this mouse, the only drawback that the scroll wheel is not easy to clean by any means and sometimes it gets kinda jerky and stuck after carrying it in a backpack

Like 8 months ago I had my warranty respected by Logitech on a really cheap mouse, since then I'm very loyal to Logi. Today, my first expensive mouse, the MX Master 3 is arriving, and I've been wanting to get it since 1 month ago. I'm hoping that it helps me with my hand problems and to be more productive, as now I work +8 hours per day on the PC, and do some gaming as well. I will try to update on a week or a month to tell you my experience. For now, I haven't found if I can add my own app specific settings, because I use the Affinity suite and not the Adobe products.
@@Volkanizma It's been amazing so far! I stopped having problems with my hand right after I started using the MX Master 3. However, I do not recommend this mouse for gaming, I started to have the same "hurt" when gaming with this mouse, but I actually stopped gaming, so it doesn't matter for me. For everything else, is just perfect. And yesterday they released a new software in beta version (Logi Options+), Logitech said that they're bringing new features to the MX Master 3 that they were not possible with the current software, so I'm reaaaaally happy with that, specially because right now it is A LOT better than the actual stable version (you have to have installed the two versions, but when the beta gets the final version, it will replace the "normal" software). I work all day on PC, as a designer and sometimes I do some video editing. I feel like I still have to get used to in order to get my day jobs done with the efficiency I'm used to, but far from that I'm very happy with the MX Master 3. If you buy it, please make sure to disable "smooth scrolling" on the software, as it causes some weird bugs with the scrolling that is not infinite (no one talks about this in the reviews, hopefully they fix them with the new software or a new firmware update), for me it was when scrolling up, but not a big deal since now I'm 100% a infinite scrolling user, and it doesn't have any bugs for me.

Is possible to add specific settings for an app that is not in the default settings for the gestures and the buttons, but for something like Affinity Photo, you can't easily have for example, the setting of Photoshop to increase the size of the brush, sometimes I think that I can find a workaround, but honestly, it just doesn't seem right. I already sent feedback for them to add more default settings for more popular apps.

Can I remap the device switch button on MX Master 3? I switch between devices a lot and picking up the mouse every time is what I currently do with my old mx master.
I work with theree different laptops. Unfortunately, I can't keep all the laptops in the same network to use Logitech flow. Is it possible to assign the easy switch option to a different button at the top rather than having it at the bottom which is kinda hard to reach Everytime to switch between computers?

However, we have other mice like M720, where you have the easy switch buttons on the side of the mouse. I am sure you love the MX Master 3 once you start using. Hi, I just got the MX Master 3 for Mac to use with Davinci Resolve and even though the Resolve symbol shows up on the options, there is no way to configure the mouse to Resolve for actual editing shortcuts. Am I missing something? I feel I just bought a 99 dollar mouse and I could have kept my regular magic mouse because at the moment they function the same.

However, you can customize the buttons via Logitech Options in the App-Specific settings with the commands available on the software. i just got this mouse and holy sh**. it's amazing. I've never owned such a nice mouse before. my previous Logitech m510 lasted 5 years before it started to go bipolar and I'm so happy I decided to spend a few extra bucks, especially since I'm working from home. being on the computer for hours on end this mouse will surely help me.

Love the MX Master 3 and the MX keys. However, my MX Master 3 for Mac has been having issues with the custom buttons for Photoshop set through the Logitech Options app. Basically, any custom functionality I set with the 2 scroll wheels do not work. I use Photoshop CC with BigSur. Scoured the net for a fix, not much found. Hope you see this. For a premium device, one expects everything to work.

There is no options "Select what to capture" and "Select a destinations" in "screen capture" In my newest Windows version of Logitech Options for MX Keys. How can I set these options? And not working Photoshop Undo / Redo of MX Master 3 in Photoshop CC v20.0.6.

it is a pity that Logitech does not provide a kind of manual (preferably in .pdf format)going into details about the many possibilities. The CZcams videos is mostly an appetizer, not giving much help to new users. It is very hard to find the more complicated details. Wasting a lot of time, unless you have a kind of photographic memory😥
Hi @Logitech Support, I do like the Master 3 mouse except the confusing side wheel. Is there any way to change the sidewheel scroll direction without using the Logitech Options software? I actually find its default direction is counterintuitive - to me, if I scroll the sidewheel upward (i.e. physically the wheel scrolls to the right) it's more sensible for the view (of a wide Excel window, for example) to move toward to the right, rather than the contents of the window scroll to right. Another way to think of what I feel the Master 3 is currently behaving is that imagine you scroll down the vertical wheel on a normal mouse and the web page is actually moving up! And practically for security reason in a workplace you usually cannot install external software so practically I cannot change how the sidewheel behaves. Is this something Logitech may change in your next MX Master 4 product?

Can you do a video for the keyboard too? I'm still trying to figure out if I can keep the backlight always on if it's plugged in or not. I'd also like to know more about it's software in general. The new products are very nice looking.

@@logitechsupport Thanks for the response. I will take a look at that later. I met someone with the very similar Craft that claimed he had set his to always keep the light on. I would hope the software is similar enough. EDIT: Honestly, didn't find much beyond the basics in that page linked. I will try digging deeper later, but looking around I didn't find much that really showed the software off in detail. Just vague "you can customize a lot" which is not enough of an answer for me to fork over $100.

I own this mouse my favorite ands triathlon as well as a trackball and ergonomic keyboard and videoconference camera. While I’m clearly a fan I find I am using less than all the inherent features

Logitech, why did you leave out the ability to choose "Task View" for the Gesture button of the mouse when setting up in Custom? You only have "Switch Application" available (which doesn't perform like it should by the way -- the way 2S handled it was better).
This is an improved design. I own the previous generation and the crease between thumb and index finger is very annoying. I'm very glad that that crease is gone.

Hello! I saw Logitech Support answering someone else's question, maybe they will also answer mine? I am now a proud owner of the mx keys and mx master 3. When I switch to another device by pressing the "connector to another device 2" button on my keyboard, how do I make my mouse automatically switch, too? I dislike having to turn my mouse around to fiddle with my button when I expected the mouse and keyboard to integrate so well with eachother. if this is not possible, can it please be made an option in the software so I can turn this on if I want to? I bought one today. I was using G402 for the last 5 years and I've been very happy with it, I just felt like having an upgrade going for a cordless one. I'm hoping to get used to MX Master 3 in a few day, cuz it feels a little less accurate for now. Knowing that both mouses has 4000DPI sensitivity, it's probably me... Also Flow works seamlessly but while trying to copy files or texts (just a url) from my two Macs (iMac 2017 and MacBook Pro mid-2016, both on Big Sur), it gives an error: "Paste action failed. Please try to copy and paste again.". This notification pops up on the one I want to paste to. I hope I can work it out!
be sure to connect it using the provided USB key (I think they call it logitech bolt). I had the same issue you are experiencing when I connected it using bluetooth.
There is a need among us to have MX Keys controlling MX Master 3 when using those quick buttons (1,2,3) to change the computer. Flow is a nice feature when you have 3 totally different setup (pc1 + monitor1, pc2 + monitor2 etc) but it is not so good when you have the same monitor for 3 different PC:s. I hope (and many of us do) that you will consider to put this option available in a near future so that MX Master 3 would follow the computer choice that is made with the MX Keys? Thank you!

It would be really nice if the mouse buttons on the bottom corresponded to the keyboard, so if you pressed the button 2 on the keyboard it would change the to keyboard 2 AND mouse button 2 instead of having to flip over the mouse to do it. Since they work together, i don't understand why this is not available. This would be an INCREDIBLE feature enhancement and i was mislead to believe this was available when i first purchased this.

Hello. I just bought the MX Ergo and will most likely also buy the MX Master later. However I am trying to use the Logitech options to create macro for Chrome that allows me to scroll up or down a web page when I hold mouse 2 + trackball scroll up or down. Is this possible?
Hello Sampsalol, MX Ergo is a great choice. please do try the MX Master 3, which offers countless number of customization, using the Logitech Options software. Regarding your question, we would need to have the mouse 2 operate as a modifier key, which Options doesn't support. The trackball cannot be customized, however all the other buttons can be, so do give it a try.

been using the MX3 since it got out. I'm a heavy PC user: Excel development, BI, present data in PPoint, some content creation when not working and... oh, it makes it a pleasure to work!
Main things I think can still be improved:
- mag wheel: please, if mechanically possible, enable left/right push; that was great in the previous logitech mouse I had!
- gesture button: I feel it requires too much pressure which becomes even worse when you consider it's a modifier key supposed to accompany another action. One user below had requested to have it as a button under the 2 buttons on left side; that makes sense to me. If you want to prevent accidental actioning, you can make the button a bit stiffer: pushing it would still be much easier as it would correspond, from natural standby position, to squeezing it rather than applying top down pressure (which also increases friction when moving)
- horizontal wheel: any chance you can make it clickable too? :)
- partner with app vendors to include more customizations and possibly APIs. For example there very little for outlook (like "prev/next" item), nothing for DAWs (steinbeirg, cakewalk, FL, etc.); of course it's not profitable for you to add niche products: let others do that for free! ;)
but I'd gladly give up all these changes for a single one: make it simple to open it and remove the electronics: I want to be able to wash all the plastics to keep it clean which is something I suppose many users want to do as this product is meant to last years (and its price point reflects it)

Thank you for pointing out that the left/right tilt is no longer a feature. I have been using Logitech mice for years, my latest being an Anywhere 2S. I wanted to upgrade to an Anywhere 3, which also has the new scroll wheel, but noticed that there are not as many programmable buttons (5 for the Anywhere 2S, 4 for the Anywhere 3.) Now I know why--I can't program the left/right tilt functions because there is no left/right tilt.
I totally agree with everything you said, I hope logitech pays heed to all your points.

Hi, this is exactly what was needed, as I have the MX Master 3 and I have to say this is simply the best Mouse I have ever used for design and general screen work. The functions are efficient, responsive and a time saver. The mouse Hyper-Scroll wheel, i laugh out loud at times because I have never seen lines and and pages scroll so fast on my 40" screen, in fact when I read the 1000 lines per second, I actually thought it was exaggerated, but it really does work that fast, great for getting back to the top of a long webpage from the bottom, it's like having the speed of light on yr screen. So, I'm trying to wrap my head around this Application-Specific buttons for my MX Master which I've used for years. This video shows you applying a brush size variable to a scroll action. However you have not shown exactly HOW this action is applied to that button/scroll. When I have Photoshop picked as my application, I do not see any of my Photoshop tools as options. WHERE are the application specific tools in your set-up panel? Thank you

Put the thumb button on the side (below back forth buttons) and then
have the thumb scroll swap places with the back forth buttons.
this should be mx master 4.
You can also make the thumb scroll have magnetic feedback like the main scroll.

Also consider making a palm rest attachment, and touch surface like magic mouse on the left right click.
Also, you could add the option for touch sensors on the back forth for instance: swipe up and down softly on the back forth button, as if it is the scroll button.

Is it possible to invert the thumbscroll wheel when CMD is held
In my program, thumb scrolls the timeline.
Cmd + thumb, is zoom but I want to invert the scroll for this only.
Can we implement a feature in the logi app for the thumb scroll?

I am a developer and I would not mind "installing additional software" to have gesture support on Linux. As long as the software is optional, the argument makes no sense at all. It's a shame that it isn't available on Linux.

What the . . . I must have been living in the dark ages. I have three computers on a glass Desk, using three blind mice and three keyboards. Also have a usb microscope, a pluggable hard drive a focusrite mic preamp, 2 27" monitors and a 43" monitor, and an Ableton Push Pad. No room for my Novation keyboard, until . . . my best friend Jean showed up on YOURTUBE. This thing is incredible, and yes I'm in love with this thing as if it were a Russian bride. I'm getting my visa together to go straight to Switzerland to pick one up, COVID-19 or not.

Even without horizontal scroll, I love using my 4-year old Mx Master 3 mouse. I’ve paired it successfully on Android, ChromeOS, MacOS, and most recently and often on my iPad Mini 6th gen (even still on iPadOS 17.5.1).
Online, I see Logitech in 2024 supports the more silent 3s which has a higher DPI. I have no desire for AI prompt builder. I don’t travel carry my mouse, so quieting doesn’t matter. Since Apple is enabling more external keyboard functions (switch on inside accessibility), I hoped there would be same general and customizable choices for mice.

I have a mx keys and a mx master 2 mouse which I use on 3 separate devices. Two of those devices share the same screen so Logitech Flow is not the best option for me. Is there a way to make the mouse change device when I change the device on the keyboard? Right now I have to do it separately which is tedious when switching the amount that I do.
if they have usb dongle you can use an usb switch (and a hdmi switch too)

I was impressed with the advertisement and I ordered MX Master 3. It is good but it is not working with iTerm2. When the iTerm2 is opened, you can't scroll/gesture with MX Master 3 Mice.
As a developer most of my day will be on iTerm2 and vscode. Its shame the mouse is not working with specific apps. I raised a case with Logitech support but no reply yet. I am planning to return back.
Why the occlusion of macros for each button like the Logitech G series? AutoCAD programs require multiple keyboard inputs for a single command. Setting up those macros in AutoCAD adds one more unneeded step when I can simply add a macro to a button on my G305, for instance.

I can't wait to receive mine in 2 weeks! Due to my needs, I also ordered a K600 for my TV and my laptop that I use as a media center with the TV but I have the MX keys Keyboard on my list too for next month because I work on both, Windows and Mac and it's a perfect match for work with the Master 3. I hate Apple 's Magic mouse. It's nice if you don't use it a lot but for heavy use, it's a nightmare (specially for people who keep their nails short). Everytime I come back from the restroom, it's difficut to use it because my hands are humide after handwashing so the Master 3 will be a welcomed change. I can't wait to try it all.

How do you change the screenshot setting to region? My Logitech options app didn't gave me the option to select what type of screenshot I wanted.

I had the same question. Further down I found a reply that helped. He is using a mac in the video so the sesttings are different. If you change the function of the screenshot key to "Keystroke assignment" and press "Win + Shift + s" as the assignment it will allow you to clip specific areas. Same as if you just push win + shift + s on your keyboard.
It's a very easy-to-understand video. I am editing a video using MX Master 2S. So it's easy to use. I'll come back again! With love from Japan :)

I also have a 2nd question!
On my mx keys, the pause/break, scroll lock and printscrn buttons have (sadly?) been REPLACED with the "connect to another device" buttons, I suppose I should call it Logitech Flow.
I really really like using pause/break in my workflow but sadly windows does not detect any key input when I press the flow buttons so I can't remap the "flow 3" button to pause/break button.
I expected to be able to do this because I figured a product made for professionals like this would boast customizability but sadly what I found out so far is that all the customizability is through logitech options which I could configure on any keyboard with a script with autohotkey or something.
Could you guys please tell me how I can remap the flow buttons to actual keyboard presses or please please please implement it in the software so I can use my workflow the way i want it?
You guys talk about programming, but ctrl + break is used in Visual Studio to stop a build and I can't use this setup anymore now.

The 3 buttons you referred to are profile buttons and can be used to connect the keyboard to 3 different devices. However, you can customize specific buttons on the keyboard with keystroke assignments to achieve functions such as Pause/Break (Fn+B). You need to develop a function that allows switching between Bluetooth channels for the mouse via the keyboard. Every time you have to flip the mouse over just to change the channel.
For some reason, the gesture commands do not work on my Macbook Pro. The gesture button works but when I try scrolling to the left or right whole holding it nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how have you fixed it?

Hello, thanks for the video. At first, the "application specific settings" sounded very nice and I was interested. However, as soon as I started using, I figured out that the settings it proposes aren't and can't be specific to different applications since the same options are proposed for all. For example, for Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop) that I use the most, one needs to Alt+scroll to zoom in and out. Let's say in the application specific settings, I set some buttons as "Zoom in" and "Zoom out" as it proposes. However, it won't do what I assigned on those applications because zooming doesn't work the same on desktop and on those applications. Do you happen to know a way to fix this problem? Or should I just admit that "application specific settings" aren't very specific and aren't very useful for me?

@@xavierc7497 if the program uses a certain key for zoom, you can assign your mouse button as that key instead of choosing some "Zoom" function in your mouse software. That said, I don't have this mouse so I can offer no further help.
This mouse is worthless because of the software. The settings are horrible for Adobe programs. I used to be able to pan in Illustrator and the software crashed and lost the ability to pan.

I love this mouse, the only drawback that the scroll wheel is not easy to clean by any means and sometimes it gets kinda jerky and stuck after carrying it in a backpack

Like 8 months ago I had my warranty respected by Logitech on a really cheap mouse, since then I'm very loyal to Logi. Today, my first expensive mouse, the MX Master 3 is arriving, and I've been wanting to get it since 1 month ago. I'm hoping that it helps me with my hand problems and to be more productive, as now I work +8 hours per day on the PC, and do some gaming as well. I will try to update on a week or a month to tell you my experience. For now, I haven't found if I can add my own app specific settings, because I use the Affinity suite and not the Adobe products.
How is it going especially with hand problems? I feel like I'm having carpal tunnel so maybe this mouse can help with that.
@@Volkanizma It's been amazing so far! I stopped having problems with my hand right after I started using the MX Master 3. However, I do not recommend this mouse for gaming, I started to have the same "hurt" when gaming with this mouse, but I actually stopped gaming, so it doesn't matter for me.
For everything else, is just perfect. And yesterday they released a new software in beta version (Logi Options+), Logitech said that they're bringing new features to the MX Master 3 that they were not possible with the current software, so I'm reaaaaally happy with that, specially because right now it is A LOT better than the actual stable version (you have to have installed the two versions, but when the beta gets the final version, it will replace the "normal" software).
I work all day on PC, as a designer and sometimes I do some video editing. I feel like I still have to get used to in order to get my day jobs done with the efficiency I'm used to, but far from that I'm very happy with the MX Master 3.
If you buy it, please make sure to disable "smooth scrolling" on the software, as it causes some weird bugs with the scrolling that is not infinite (no one talks about this in the reviews, hopefully they fix them with the new software or a new firmware update), for me it was when scrolling up, but not a big deal since now I'm 100% a infinite scrolling user, and it doesn't have any bugs for me.
@@Volkanizma Oh, I almost forgot. Is possible to add specific settings for an app that is not in the default settings for the gestures and the buttons, but for something like Affinity Photo, you can't easily have for example, the setting of Photoshop to increase the size of the brush, sometimes I think that I can find a workaround, but honestly, it just doesn't seem right. I already sent feedback for them to add more default settings for more popular apps.

Can I remap the device switch button on MX Master 3? I switch between devices a lot and picking up the mouse every time is what I currently do with my old mx master.
I work with theree different laptops. Unfortunately, I can't keep all the laptops in the same network to use Logitech flow. Is it possible to assign the easy switch option to a different button at the top rather than having it at the bottom which is kinda hard to reach Everytime to switch between computers?
Hey ArunKumar, it's a nice suggestion. Currently we do not have the option to assign the easy switch option to different buttons. However, we have other mice like M720, where you have the easy switch buttons on the side of the mouse. I am sure you love the MX Master 3 once you start using. Hi, I just got the MX Master 3 for Mac to use with Davinci Resolve and even though the Resolve symbol shows up on the options, there is no way to configure the mouse to Resolve for actual editing shortcuts. Am I missing something? I feel I just bought a 99 dollar mouse and I could have kept my regular magic mouse because at the moment they function the same.
Hey Sermini, the MX Master 3 does not comes with the pre-loaded commands of DaVinci Resolve software. However, you can customize the buttons via Logitech Options in the App-Specific settings with the commands available on the software. i just got this mouse and holy sh**. it's amazing. I've never owned such a nice mouse before. my previous Logitech m510 lasted 5 years before it started to go bipolar and I'm so happy I decided to spend a few extra bucks, especially since I'm working from home. being on the computer for hours on end this mouse will surely help me.

Would be awesome if I could actually set keystroke assignments in Logitech options. There seems to be an issue that many are having. Please address this.

Love the MX Master 3 and the MX keys. However, my MX Master 3 for Mac has been having issues with the custom buttons for Photoshop set through the Logitech Options app. Basically, any custom functionality I set with the 2 scroll wheels do not work. I use Photoshop CC with BigSur. Scoured the net for a fix, not much found. Hope you see this. For a premium device, one expects everything to work.

it is a pity that Logitech does not provide a kind of manual (preferably in .pdf format)going into details about the many possibilities. The CZcams videos is mostly an appetizer, not giving much help to new users. It is very hard to find the more complicated details. Wasting a lot of time, unless you have a kind of photographic memory😥
Hi @Logitech Support, I do like the Master 3 mouse except the confusing side wheel. Is there any way to change the sidewheel scroll direction without using the Logitech Options software? I actually find its default direction is counterintuitive - to me, if I scroll the sidewheel upward (i.e. physically the wheel scrolls to the right) it's more sensible for the view (of a wide Excel window, for example) to move toward to the right, rather than the contents of the window scroll to right. Another way to think of what I feel the Master 3 is currently behaving is that imagine you scroll down the vertical wheel on a normal mouse and the web page is actually moving up! And practically for security reason in a workplace you usually cannot install external software so practically I cannot change how the sidewheel behaves. Is this something Logitech may change in your next MX Master 4 product?

Can you do a video for the keyboard too? I'm still trying to figure out if I can keep the backlight always on if it's plugged in or not. I'd also like to know more about it's software in general.
The new products are very nice looking.
why would you want to keep the backlight on always? a lot of LEDs are not built for 24/7 illumination and this will just increase the wear & tear.

EDIT: Honestly, didn't find much beyond the basics in that page linked. I will try digging deeper later, but looking around I didn't find much that really showed the software off in detail. Just vague "you can customize a lot" which is not enough of an answer for me to fork over $100.

I own this mouse my favorite ands triathlon as well as a trackball and ergonomic keyboard and videoconference camera. While I’m clearly a fan I find I am using less than all the inherent features

Does the desktop application needs to be open all the time for mouse configurations to work ? It is required for some other brands.

Logitech, why did you leave out the ability to choose "Task View" for the Gesture button of the mouse when setting up in Custom? You only have "Switch Application" available (which doesn't perform like it should by the way -- the way 2S handled it was better).
This is an improved design. I own the previous generation and the crease between thumb and index finger is very annoying. I'm very glad that that crease is gone.

I am now a proud owner of the mx keys and mx master 3. When I switch to another device by pressing the "connector to another device 2" button on my keyboard, how do I make my mouse automatically switch, too? I dislike having to turn my mouse around to fiddle with my button when I expected the mouse and keyboard to integrate so well with eachother.
if this is not possible, can it please be made an option in the software so I can turn this on if I want to?

I wish there have a setting to change the polling rate of the mouse since the battery life of 70 days on a full charge is ridiculously long. Overall it is a good mouse for working.

I bought one today. I was using G402 for the last 5 years and I've been very happy with it, I just felt like having an upgrade going for a cordless one. I'm hoping to get used to MX Master 3 in a few day, cuz it feels a little less accurate for now. Knowing that both mouses has 4000DPI sensitivity, it's probably me...
Also Flow works seamlessly but while trying to copy files or texts (just a url) from my two Macs (iMac 2017 and MacBook Pro mid-2016, both on Big Sur), it gives an error: "Paste action failed. Please try to copy and paste again.". This notification pops up on the one I want to paste to. I hope I can work it out!
be sure to connect it using the provided USB key (I think they call it logitech bolt). I had the same issue you are experiencing when I connected it using bluetooth.
What is MX Master 4 release date?
There is a need among us to have MX Keys controlling MX Master 3 when using those quick buttons (1,2,3) to change the computer. Flow is a nice feature when you have 3 totally different setup (pc1 + monitor1, pc2 + monitor2 etc) but it is not so good when you have the same monitor for 3 different PC:s. I hope (and many of us do) that you will consider to put this option available in a near future so that MX Master 3 would follow the computer choice that is made with the MX Keys? Thank you!

It would be really nice if the mouse buttons on the bottom corresponded to the keyboard, so if you pressed the button 2 on the keyboard it would change the to keyboard 2 AND mouse button 2 instead of having to flip over the mouse to do it. Since they work together, i don't understand why this is not available. This would be an INCREDIBLE feature enhancement and i was mislead to believe this was available when i first purchased this.
Hi Phil, It is not possible to use one Easy-Switch button to at the same time change both your mouse and keyboard to a different computer/device. If you are switching between Apple macOS and/or Microsoft Windows computers, we offer Flow. Flow allows you to control multiple computers with a Flow-enabled mouse. Flow automatically switches between computers by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen, and the keyboard follows.

Hello. I just bought the MX Ergo and will most likely also buy the MX Master later. However I am trying to use the Logitech options to create macro for Chrome that allows me to scroll up or down a web page when I hold mouse 2 + trackball scroll up or down. Is this possible?
Hello Sampsalol, MX Ergo is a great choice. please do try the MX Master 3, which offers countless number of customization, using the Logitech Options software. Regarding your question, we would need to have the mouse 2 operate as a modifier key, which Options doesn't support. The trackball cannot be customized, however all the other buttons can be, so do give it a try.
