Mad Max is an Australian post-apocalyptic action film. It began in 1979 with Mad Max, and was followed by three sequels: Mad Max 2 (1981), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Mel Gibson starred in the first three films and Tom Hardy took over as Max in the fourth film.
The series follows the adventures of Max Rockatansky, a police officer in a future Australia which is experiencing societal collapse due to war and critical resource shortages. When his wife and child are murdered by a vicious biker gang, Max kills them in revenge and becomes a drifting loner in the Wasteland. As Australia devolves further into barbarity, this skilled warrior of the road finds himself helping pockets of civilization, initially for his own self-interest, but his motives always drift into more altruistic ones.

Some of this film when mad max is parked up and the night rider comes around the bend with his girlfriend in a car . Mad Max was actually parked up in Old Melbourne Rd, Little River, Australia. About 300 yds from my mothers place. The night rider was driving out of the Little River Village towards Werribee . In fact the whole area around little river was very popular with film crews. Sadly Mom past away in her late 80's 12 yrs ago and the property was sold.

Very good movie, it's genre action, adventure, apocalyptic science fiction and black humor. they have good action scenes, even though it was nominated for the Academy Award for the Oscars it didn't win. This is one of the best Mel Gibson movies I've ever seen. Thank you for giving information about the lives of the actors in this Mad Max movie. Blessings.

You missed Jerry Day who also sadly passed away he was Max's partner (The Dark One) he moved to the country but was still part of the MFP his name in the film was Ziggy his nickname was THE DARK ONE. I knew him personally he was doing military reenactments at Fort Lytton in Brisbane until his death :-( He was truly a nice man and did quite a few films other than Mad Max.
