If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex

I’m going to thank you again. My shoulder was in agony. I bought a keyboard tray. Problem solved. OMG. I really appreciate that you posted this, way more than any of the business videos!! Give me my shoulder instead of millions of dollars ANY day!!! ❤
Okay so so far nobody noticed how he’s teasing the book?
Yeah it's called $100m models, he showed it in a story on Instagram
Haha, $100M sales, coming soon! I hope
@@Joehirst*Brand, I believe.
@@Joehirst $100M Gains 💪
It’s 100m models, fk me if I’m wrong
Yes and also raise your screen to eye height to avoid neck pain
Such random but high value content 😂 i love it 😂😂
Literally had the same problem. Now I have my desk low so my shoulders aren’t hurting, but I have my monitor on a stand so I’m tilting my head back slightly to keep myself awake
Now he has back pain. Thats why im working from my pool
That video have a great structure.
Problem.
Failed attempts.
Realization.
Solution.
*gets neck pain always looking down at your work*
I'm not sure he feels the neck pain at all. Perhaps not yet. When he does, he only has to increase the height of the monitor to the point where it is parallel to his eye level.
@@abeoluwatomiwa8619then his shoulders will hurt
Laptop is ergonomically bad, no way around it. Having a plug and go Work Station is like having a nice bed. Totally underrated, nobody ever regret going for.
@@abeoluwatomiwa8619 true, sounds too good to be true though
Do you not see the monitor the laptop is plugged into?
Having an adjustable desk at work is a complete game-changer
Alex, this can be applied for people that work as delivery drivers like myself also. Thanks, man!
Thank you!!!
I have exacly the same! Thx Alex!
*develops neck pains*
Yep. I have the same problem when driving... I don't use the armrest either anymore.
I knew the 3rd book would be green! 😏
Yeah because he said it in a podcast right after the second launch 😂
@@todo6087 ah lol 😂 actually didnt know that,
Or raise your chair if you don't have an adjustable desk.
I just finished both books and am re reading through I’m pumped far pt 3!!
Got rid of shoulder pain but got neck pain instead.
Maybe the real pain is the friends we made along the way...?
I admit embarrassingly i know about this because im a gamer and im very into the optimazation and i cut the arm wrest off my chair, got a foot stool, lowered my desk and raise my monitor all in the name of optimization
Wouldn't adjusting the height of the chair be a cheaper and quicker option?
I know mine is mouse/keyboard related. I'm going to try this! I want shoulders as big as yours 😅 but shoulder presses and lateral raises hurt if I go to heavy at times.
Truff hot sauce huh? Respect
Amazing!😅 thanks
Wow thank you haha I love you brother ❤
That blurred out new book tho 👀
A good physical therapist would figure that out in a few seconds. It’s a basic ergonomic assessment. Also, if you don’t have neck pain already, give it about 10 years unless you fix the screen height for your computers.
Wait what, I got lost on your last statement. What did you mean
Thanks
You should get the split key board that’s at the angle of your hands. That will help too.
Arm sleeve with elbow pad. Works like a charm.
His 3rd book is called 100 million dollar brand
Now you have to put the screen at eye level, otherwise you get cervical pain, which is much worse
I drive a bus and could not figure out why my shoulders would hurt so much. Thank you
thank you
Dude. Me too.
Shoulder pain keeping you big as hell
wrong channel
Yea my shoulder pain started as soon as I turned 40
I just want to do emails each week on an exercise bike
I taught him everything he knows.
He has blurred the 3rd book. Its on the shelf to his left😂
Yaay I don't have armrests on both of mine chairs for that😊
Less is more. Wearing a flannel over the wife beater looks way hotter than not wearing something over it.
And a life hack for back pain is raise your chair up so you thighs and shins create a 90° angle. The less pressure on the floor the better. Ergonomics are so important.
I have a trapped nerve sensation down my back on the left what desk position should I adjust to?🤔
Holy shit ….life just changes
What desk is that?
This is a nobrainer for a pianist. Good tip doe
As a physiotherapist, I approve
Also, hanging from a bar is far better than like 95% of the random crap you'll find on the internet for remedying shoulder pain.
PTs also tell people with shoulder pain this same method FYI
And replace it with neck pain from having to look straight down all day?
Just wanna flex your cool desk lol
What about neck pain in this position? 😅
And now he gets neck pain
Im poor so I will sit on cushions. Thanks Alex as always.
Wait! This is why my shoulder hurts?!
Watch truff hot sauce blow up now 🙇🏽♂️
I don’t come across the videos from this guy often and am yet to hear him give a bad advice or tell half truth. Like.
Well then you will have neck pain looking down for hours. The key is to set keyboard at leg height and screen at eye height. Problem solved!
Lol, raise the chair
I bought a Bluetooth keyboard for that
Spoiler for the next book. Yes Sir❤
You are gonna have neck and lower back pain if you don’t raise your display so that it’s eye level.
bro, thats too low - your neck will be torqued
Did you just need to get stronger 🤣
But then you get neck pain for getting you head down low
Well what about your neck when you have to look down all day
100M sales???
I believe you’re legs always need to be at 90 degrees as well so it’s a compromise
Running out of content I see. "yeah lower your desk and uhhh yeah lower your desk"
You might have actually just freaking changed my life right now…
Your neck and back bro, 😅
Or just swing maces and clubs…
This is sooooo true!!!!!! 🫶🏼
Yes but guess what? Neck pain and lower back pain if ur table is too low 🥲🥲
