Thank you for sharing this beautiful memory pillow! I am going to make some for Christmas presents for my family from my father’s ties! He went to be with the Lord Nov 2019 and was a pastor, missionary and evangelist 70+ years!❤️

You're welcome! After I posted this, I had someone contact me saying they knew how to sew, but didn't think they could tackle the project. She hired me to make 12 pillows from all her husband's ties, to give as a memory gift to her children and their spouses, with a few more for herself. She had me use his cufflinks to make "buttons" for the centers. She loved the way they all came out. To see pics, go to facebook.com/themasqueradeNH and scroll back in time.😉
Great Project! I loved the detail you gave and tips you shared: Paper at beginning of delicate fabric, finishing cording and narrow piece of fabric where you inserted pillow form, I learned some great tips. Thank you!
This is exactly what a friend, who recently lost her husband asked me if I had heard of this process. Well now i have. This would definitely be a labor of love and remembrance. Thank you. You are a wonderful teacher.
You sure can! I find it gives the project a little more stiffness, not as much silky "give" that I like the pillow to have. It's all about your personal taste, really. So if you like interfacing - then go for it! It will make the ties much easier to work with.😉
Really enjoyed this tutorial. Is there somewhere to get the template for this pillow? I am in the process of making a tie quilt. And I would love to make a pillow to finish off the look where ever it is used.

when I copy the size is very small so i need the correct size. Thanks
It should print out on 8.5 x 11 paper. The PDF is already sized that way. I think you have to change the settings on you printer to "fit full page".😉
