Mrs Pritchard lives in fear of a psychic's message: blue primrose is a warning, blue hollyhock is danger, and the blue geranium is death. From The Thirteen Problems.
Now known in St Mary Mead for her canny powers of detection, Miss Marple is asked to solve the mystery of Mrs Pritchard, a woman with a predilection for psychics who feared blue flowers before she suddenly died.
Christie’s fascination with things ‘other-worldly’ comes to the fore in this short story first published in December 1929 in The Christmas Story Teller. It featured in the 1932 collection The Thirteen Problems, Miss Marple's first short story collection.
It was adapted in 2010 as part of the series Agatha Christie's Marple and starred Julia McKenzie. - Zábava
The narrator is excellent. Clear characterisation and I barely noticed the background music.i keep listening and appreciating 🙏👍
Thank you so much 😀
I am enjoying the stories and narration as I work in the kitchen or sew. Some I have heard before, some are new to me. I like them all! You do a good job.
Glad you like them!
Thank you for posting these. Audio books free and more to the point it’s Agatha Christie. Love listening to these.
Love this..I’ve read them all but hearing them like this makes them new to me.
Sounds lovely to me. Barely noticed any background noise at all. I listen on my phone; maybe that's the difference?
Good stuff
the background noise is too annoying
Irritating background noise. Why don’t you just let us enjoy the storytelling. The voice does it all.
Background noise distracts. It is totally unnecessary. Narrator is excellent.
Could do without the background noise. Very distracting and totally unnecessary. I had to turn it off.
