Hi Laura, thank you so much for mentioning/show casing the nursery and rock places you tour. For my birthday (Jul 1st) I toured two places you have mentioned. One was Planters Paradise, in El Cajon. Wow, pots were all amazing and Robert what a guy. We went this past Monday and he opened up just for us as we traveled from OC to make the trek. He really is a down to earth being, I loved his energy and aura. Absolutely will return. Another place was closer to home, Waterwise Botanical...JACKPOT and its by my brothers home in Temecula. I was in plant heaven...what a wonderful place. THANK YOU THANK YOU, I could not ask for a better COVID birthday celebration. Next stop Oasis ;)

I’m glad you talked about fragrance. I’ve got peppermint and spearmint in pots among my succulents and a lemon geranium that is now huge and smells delicious! 🥰
Yes I did enjoy. Here in Massachusetts we obviously can’t leave Bougainvillea out all year. I have one that was my mother’s before she passed away, almost 20 years ago. I have treated it like a bonsai, although technically it isn’t one. I bring it in before frost, it goes dormant, and then comes alive in spring. It’s maybe 6 or 7 inches tall and about 10 inches wide.
We went to Waterwise Botanicals today. My wife loved the place and of course bought a whole bunch of plants. Highly recommend a visit if you live in Southern Calif

I live outside of the Dallas area and I have learned so much fr your videos. We don't have the best climate here for succulents but I've been able to do alright. I'm hoping to do some gutter planters on our fence. I love the way it looks!
Hot tip: The Lithop is planted with a Split Rock plant. They have different dormancy periods and so require watering at different times of the year. Neither of them should be watered once they begin to split or whilst shedding their outer leaves. (This takes some months.) Otherwise they rot. Ideally they need to be separated.
I bought my 3rd secondhand piece of Talavera today from Facebook Marketplace. Yay. Only cost $20 Australian. Was a 3 hour round trip though. So worth it x

Hi Laura, Thanks for your tour. You have a tall container with many white fuzzy cactus 🌵 , near the shade area. Can you please give me the name of the cactus. I had 3 of them and my husband accidentally pulled and threw them away 😭😭 and I haven’t been able to find any to replace them.

Laura I forgot what video you mentioned this in before but my succulents are feeling soft on the leaves not mushy or over watered , just soft. Does that mean I need to put an umbrella on them because they’re getting too much sun? I planted them in May and as you know it’s been hot in Chula Vista so I’m wondering what I can do to make them happy again . Thank you!!

You don’t HAVE to keep them indoors forever. In winter and rainy/stormy weather yes. In that case airflow is important. Fans, mini dehumidifiers and any possible ventilation to prevent mildew and pests. During spring and summer they can be outside, but sheltered during rainstorms. In warm weather, sunburn & humidity can cause rot. In colder weather, freeze and hail can be the killers. So keep them in bright indirect/filtered light!
I live in Kansas, it's hot and humid all summer long. I have my plants outside, some get full sun and others are partial sun. The humidity is a problem but I just water them a little less. Morning sun is great the afternoon sun is a bit too much so I have screens around the planters to give them some shade. They seem to be doing just fine that way.

It won’t hurt the plant to cut them off. Depends on your preference!

Find the right light, get them near the window and take the window orientation into account. I live in an apartment and also have my plants indoors.
Living in sunny South Africa. I live in a sub tropical area (high summer rainfall with high humidity) would it be okay to plant my succulents outside?
