    Great video Andy! Hope the car is still serving you well :)
    Here’s an idea for you and anyone else. You can easily pop the plastic off from the old badge, and then sand the red colour off it, and spray it any colour you want, then glue back on so you have a spare badge to swap over with or have on display, makes it look like new again.
    Looking forward to more videos :)

      I think this is exactly what the previous owner had tried to do and ruined the tailgate badge, it had all separated inside and it looked like there might be glue inside the badge. Also there where marks around the edge looking like someone had tried to break the badge apart,

    • @PuntoHowto

      You would need to climb into the car boot through the car and see if you can release the boot manually, if not then you might need to remove the plastic from inside the boot then operate the catch manually

    Cheers!

    • @PuntoHowto
      @PuntoHowto  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t think you can separate them easily, the main reason mine needed replacing is because someone had tried to take it apart at some point, so the edges of the badge in the centre where all cracked and chipped if needed I’d suggest replacing the whole thing

    • @PuntoHowto
      @PuntoHowto  Před 2 lety

      If the remote doesn’t work or you don’t have a remote boot release then just changing the button will not make the(a) remote boot release start working.

    • @PuntoHowto
      @PuntoHowto  Před rokem

      Start with checking fuses. Check things like the back wiper is working as fiats do tend to have problems with the wiring going to the boot breaking and shorting out.

    • @PuntoHowto

    • @PuntoHowto
      @PuntoHowto  Před 5 lety

      Hi Jamie, you did leave a comment about this on another video and I did reply to it. Basically if the blue and me has failed it will need replacing and the car will need hooking up to an computer to set up the new blue and me module. Your only hope of a cheap bill is to check the fuses and make sure nothing obvious is wrong. Failing that you’ll need a specialist.

    • @jamiejones18
      @jamiejones18 Před 5 lety +2

      This happened to me a few weeks ago. I jump started my brothers car and I don’t think it was earthed properly, and this caused the odometer to flash and the blue and me was saying connected to my phone on the screen, but my phone wasn’t connected. The jump starting (bad earth) seemed to have caused sensors around the car to be out of alignment, hence the flashing odometer, and it must have also caused issues with the blue and me module. Luckily mine fixed itself after leaving the battery unplugged for half an hour, and it’s been fine since. As puntohowto says, it could also need a full new module to fix it. Hopefully yours is a quick simple fix like mine. Hope you have the problem sorted soon :)

      If you can get hold of the abarth badges then yes, they are not easy to get hold of now, because of people buying up badges to change their own.
